Fall Guy: Let’s firstly start with showing y’all the trailers shall we?

Another review I’m behind on, yeah I know. Took 2 hiatus and this is what I get, well it’s finally time to review this film.

Today we’re reviewing another Ryan Gossling film, so what’s this film about?

Well in this 2024 blockbuster action film, we follow our main character named Colt Seavers (played by Ryan Gossling), he’s a stuntman in every film.

One day he finds himself getting hired by his friend Dan Tucker (played by Winston Duke) to work in a film that his ex-girlfriend he abandoned named Jody Moreno (played by Emily Blunt) is working on.

At first, she doesn’t want him to be in her film, understandable. So why did he leave her? Well, a while back during a shot of a film where he takes over the position of the main actor named Tom Ryder (played by Aaron Tyler Johnson).

In this scene he was gonna jump across a a3-foot-talll floor with a rope harness on him, Unfortunately, His heart broke and he got injured, so he became kinda reclusive during his rehearsal and cut off any contact with Jody. That’s sad.

Also, he ignored his calls from his agent named Gail Meyer (played by Hannah Waddingham), but one day she calls him in for a favor. Turns out Tom Ryder has been involved in some shady business and he’s gone missing, she wants him to go find him because if he dies no one will miss him because he’s the fall guy.

Gee wiz thanks, so during the film shoot at locations, he makes excuses and takes his available time to go find Tom unfortunately instead of hanging out with Jody who the both of them start to get back together and I do mean get back together.

So will Colt find Tom? Is Tom alive? What shite has he got himself into? Will Colt get the woman this time for good? All will be revelations in spoilers, for now, the rating.

Overall I actually enjoyed this film like a lot, it’s absolutely a fun film. I highly recommend it, filled with comedy and action. U will love Ryan Gossling acting as a guy who’s way out of his hands.

Also, there’s something meta about an actor playing a character who’s an actor, haha, side note trust me you won’t expect what’s coming in the spoilers, any expectations u have, just throw them out the window.

So I’ll give Fall Guy a solid 10/10, warning spoilers ahead y’all been warned ⚠️.

Time to spoil the 3rd act and any revelations, well here’s a plot twist, so turns out Tom is safe. He was never kidnapped. He’s just hiding because he one night at a party he threw, he beats up an actor and he falls onto the glass table to his death.

Dunnn dunn dunnn! So he contacted Gail Meyer, and she helped him out by creating this elaborate plan to get Colt framed for all this and lie to Jody that he left back home, and that he never cared for her.

What a twist, also jeepers talk about having a bad agent. So after he escapes on a boat, they blow it up presuming he’s dead.

Luckily he doesn’t want to he had his friend Dan help investigate the house, so he’s nearby to rescue him from the lake.

So Colt sneaks into Jody’s trailer as a disguised mascot, and he tells her everything. The 3 of them make a plan to expose Tom for the criminal and fraud he is on the day of shooting the final action scene of her alien attack film.

And get Tom along with Gail Meyer arrested, so during the final shot which involves Tom getting into a car and riding off, he enters it, and guess who’s riding the car? It’s Colt.

He drives him around like a maniac until he confesses, also he has a recorder on him to catch all this confirmation. Gail Meyer realizes what’s happening and tries leaving with a suitcase which contains the footage of that night at the party.

She escapes on a helicopter, and she catches up to the 2 of them, well 4 of them because Jody and Dan are riding in a separate car side by side filming this using her camera.

Colt decides to jump over a ramp and crash the car upside down, the helicopter lands nearby. They corner Tom and Gail Meyer, they take away the briefcase, and they finally have the evidence along with a recorded confession.

So Jody and Colt walk off in the sunset and kiss, the end. Wait a minute something isn’t right, shouldn’t Tom and Gail Meyer get arrested? Well, they do in the end credits. Yeah idk why they put them getting arrested in the end credits but still.
