so im gonna start off with the trailer….because want u guys who haven’t seen these to see what these films like….also I should warn you….this film Is dark…..its PG-13….but they push the limits for a PG-13 film….its violent, darker in tone, intense…..

So anyways the plot is, in this film we get introduced to the Joker (played by Heath Ledger) may he rest in piece ….anyways we start off with him doing a bank robbery….I do like this scene because at first don’t know who the Joker is….because we see a group of men wearing clown masks…turns out one of them is the joker….I do like that its clever..

so anyways after this heist…..we see batman dealing with criminals….specifically Scarecrow…….so after this batman goes sees Gordon who is investigating the robbed bank…..he tells batman about that the Joker guy who robbed the bank……also Gordon doesn’t know if he should tell the new DA….named Harvey Dent….(played by Aaron Ekhart)….about how Gordon works with batman…..so anyways after this we get introduced to Harvey Dent….and Rachel….she’s played by a different actress….I forget who……anyways Gordon does eventually tell Dent about batman…….well kinda….he tells him after Dent summons batman with the bat signal…..he wants batman to arrest a Chinese mob boss named Lau……..who’s heading back to china…speaking of, while he’s on his plane ride back….he calls up a group of criminals who’s working for him…..and now we get introduced to the Joker….check out this scene for yourself

I just love this scene….I mean coke on he jams a guys head into a pencil…..yikes….and i did warn u all this film is dark…this film pushed the limits of a PG-13 film…..also I love how unpredictable Joker is….I mean he is freaking caring bombs and grenades In his jacket and Threatens to blow them all up now and there…..oh forget to mention this Joker is not like the comic book Joker…..where he in the comics is a bit goofy and used some clown tactics to his crime antics…..also in the comics, he’s a mob boss….however….this Joker….is more like a terrorist……and it fits for this type of film…..also we know nothing about Joker….he in this film tells different origin stories of himself to his victims before he kills them…..see different stories…so we as an audience have no idea which of the stories is true or false…..again I really like that…..we don’t need to know who the Joker is….

…anyways batman does go and catch Lau…….and I really like this scene…..but I won’t show it because I try to add only some links in my reviews….so this scene has batman in his new bat suite he needed an upgrade….he in China and its night time he breaks into Lau building….fights his guards and kidnaps Lau and brings him back to America……..so anyways they interrogate him…..then after that…..Gordon gets his men to help him arrest multiple criminals that he knew of….one of them being a mob boss named Salvatore Moroni……so yeah Dent is a great Attorney…..he gets so many criminals in prison….so the major wants to talk to him…I should warn u this scene has a jump scare in it…so do be warned

Yikes….yeah thats right…….a fake dead batman dead body slammed onto the window…..did I forget to mention this film is tense?…..so let’s skip a bit….if ur wondering what all the bad stuff Joker does in this film….well?….Bruce Wayne tosses a party and invites dent and Rachel….and this happens

….thats right….Joker poisoned the commissioner from the first movie….by putting poison in his alcohol…..he somehow rigged a bomb inside the judges car which blows her up……If u can’t tell….he doesn’t want the cops and judge to succeed on there hunting down criminals job….oh and now Joker is after Harvey Dent…..thats why Bruce hides him in a broom closet….well I say hide but he knocks him out and put him into the closet……so after this night…..well let me rephrase that…..after this scene…..we do get a funeral scene for the commissioner……and …..u need to see this for ur selves

Yeah oh boy….now Joker and his men disguise themselves as cops and attend that funeral…so they can shoot the major…..is it quite obvious he’s a terrorist in this film?….yeah this is horrific……but instead Gordon gets shot….don’t worry he aint dead…but thats for later…..anyways now Joker is after Rachel….uh oh……so now Dent wants to do everything to stop Joker before he hurts Rachel……do now batman and dent want the same thing…..batman is ready to expose his identity…..because Joker wants batman to tell everyone his identity…..but instead dent goes on tv and tells everyone he’s batman…..why?….idk…..so anyways Rachel is upset now and gives Alfred a envelope….that he needs to give to Bruce Wayne…..it describes…..that she doesn’t want to date Bruce….she’s gonna marry Dent…..so anyways Dent get sent onto a transportation truck…..the Joker chases him down in a truck… he starts shooting missiles from a bazooka towards the vehicle….so batman shows up….and his batmobile gets blown up…..yes thats right the batmobile is destroyed……but luckily a batcycle comes out of it…now he has a bat motorcycle…..

I do like this scene because of jokers famous line……Hit me!!!….yeah he wants batman to break his one rule of not killing people…..this is basically a clever story of a cat and mouse scenario……I actually like this writing…..oh side note. .Christopher Nolan records all these 3 batman movies in real life…thats right…..no green screen…..what u see is a real city…….so anyways they arrest Joker……..Gordon reveals he’s still alive and Dent heads home to Rachel….what can possibly go wrong?…..well that night batman interrogates joker……

He wants to know what happened to Dent….he and Rachel never made it home…..so batman gets kinda emotional…..he beats up the Joker….Jesus lord batman calm down….oh and Joker is just laughing the whole time while he’s being beaten up…..so anyways Joker tells him where noth are…they’re both tied up in different locations….no seriously…there tied up near barrels of gasoline and there’s a bomb in those rooms as well….

So in case u don’t watch this clip….let me summarize this up…..batman is riding to save Rachel……Gordon is heading to save Dent…..and the clock is ticking…..while this happens we see a prisoner in his cell at the jail Joker is at…he says his insides hurt…he collapses to the ground ….medics come and they see he has a long giant scar across his stomach…..yikes….that makes my skin crawl a bit…..oh it gets worse……Joker gets out of his cell….by holding a piece of glass to a cop and threatening to kill him unless he doesn’t get his phone call…so they hand him a phone…he uses it calls it up…and it turns out there’s a phone logged under that prisoners skin….….and the phone blows up…which causes a bit of s explosion at the prison…..yeah thats how the Joker escapes…with this elaborated plan……a plan thats grizzly….also he breaks Lau out of prison as well…oh and back to dent…well he falls over with a barrel…the barrel starts spilling out gasoline which covers half his face…..I think its quite obvious who’s he about to turn into….so anyways batman makes it there…turns out its Dent who’s at that building ….he saves Dent…..Rachel is not lucky….she blows up…..yikes….and Dent well half of his face gets set on fire when him and batman leave the building and when that building explodes…is when his face half gets set on fire…don’t worry we see a brief 3 seconds of him screaming while face on fire…..good god….so let’s skip a bit….like alot…..here lets start with this scene…

Oh BTW Lau is tied on top of that pile of money…so Joker just lit a man alive…..originally Nolan recorded lau on fire and of him screaming…but turns out that was to grim….yeah no kidding….so he scrapped that….wise choice…..so now let’s summarize up everything that happens after this moment……Dent wakes up……Joker visit him…tells him to cause anarchy…..he gives Dent his half sided burnt coin and a gun….Dent does agree…well first he goes and kills everyone including the corrupt cops who were involved in him and Rachel being tied up…..oh forget to mention….dents face looks grotesque….half his face is been burnt down to his skull….he has a gaping hole where his jaw is……and his eyeball is just staring and never blinks because his eyelids burned off……and his hair been burnt off and so has his ear…..yeah ur welcome for that imagery…..also Joker blows up a hospital….after cops get everyone out of the hospital…..

Yeah he’s still doing terroriest stuff…..well letd mark off everything he’s done in this film…..he’s robbed a bank….killed a judge and commissioner…..killed dents wife….injured Dent….killed some cops….oh forget to mention he killed 2 cops and left there bodies behind in a apartment…with smiles cut into there faces…..jeeeezus…..oh and nows he blown up a hospital…..yep he’s a terrorist all right…..so Dent goes out and kills everyone responsible…including Moroni…..

There’s a video of everyone he kills who are responsible……its a short list……anyways now Joker threatens to blow up the city…and gives everyone a chance to leave the city…..oh dear lord…because blowing up a hospital wasn’t enough…..so the evacuate everyone onto a ferry…and criminals onto another ferry…..thats right Joker has caused terror amongst everyone…..do when they get onto the ferries ……he communicates to everyone telling them each ferry has bombs on it…he says each boat has a trigger….and now they have the option to decide who to blow up…..ok this is getting out of hands…batman needs to stop this guy….so thats what happens….batman goes to fight joker……he has to get to Joker he’s standing on the highest floor of a unfinished built building…..so when he gets up there…..everyone on both boats decide not to kill each other…thats right the criminals have moral and continuous……so Joker decides to take our a trigger he has bur before he blows up anything….batman grabs Joker and tosses him off the building….

Sadly no he doesn’t let Joker die….he uses his grapple to save joker…..bummer….…..so now Joker gets arrested…finally….batman heads to dent….Dent is at where Rachel died…..he tricked Gordon’s wife and kids to go there….where well Dent decides to hold them captive….um so basically Dent turned to the dark side at this point….he wants Gordon to feel his pain…..lovely….heck when Gordon gets there he tries to have Gordon pick which kid he should kill…he said he’s only gonna kill the kid he loves the most….ok woah cool down u sick bastard……he’s literally fallen from grace….he was considered Gotham white knight….. now he’s Harvey two face…..

So anyways batman gets there tells him to kill who’s responsible….so he agrees….he shoots batman after he flips his coin…..then he aims it to his head to kill himself….but the coin landed not on tells so he leaves…honestly what would he have done if it landed on tales….would he kill himself before he kills Gordon?….and right as he about to kill Gordon…..batman runs up to him and pushes him off the building and grabs onto Gordon’s son…..sadly Dent dies….he’s body splat onto the ground…….woo-hoo…..so now with Dent dead….Gotham has no one to look up to…also did u realize something….Joker basically won…although he got arrested….he still won….lets see …..did he accomplish casting terror?….……did he break Dent? …..so yeah he won……oh dear lord….so anyways batman wants people to not know the bad stuff Dent done so batman takes the blame and has Gordon send his cops to chase him….thats right batman taken the blame to keep Dents reputation in tact…..

The film ends with batman being chased down……so not a happy ending….got it ……ladies and gentlemen I highly recommend this film its amazing…..Heath Ledger made a great Joker…sadly he never got to see his performance on screen….he dies of drug overdose a month after this film was about to hit theaters……heck he got a nomination….days after the film came out….thats sad…..anyways I really recommend it….its on HBO Max right now….im gonna give this film a solid 10/10
