Batman (1989)

So anyways in this film we see batman…played by Micheal Keaton…..and he is new in Gotham…..reason I can tell is because Gordon and the cops don’t know who he is…..in fact they first think he’s a bit of a menace……so anyways one day batman decides to go stop a group of gangsters….lead by a guy named Jack….played by Jack Nicholson…….there robbing a safe at ace chemicals…..and I’m just gonna say it….all us batman fans know what happens…..but got the ones who aren’t batman fans….well how do I say this….batman fights Jack on a railing over a vat of chemicals……jack falls into the chemicals…..well let me be more precise…..he starts falling but then batman tries saving him but he loses his grip…..and still falls into the chemicals…….also in this film we get introduced to Bruce Wayne love interest…Vicky Vale……no I don’t know who’s playing her……..all I know is a weird love triangle happens later………if ur wondering who the third wheel is…its Joker…..yeah Joker falls in love with Vicky……um….😐🙄…..she’s like what late 30s or early 40s…while Jack looks like he’s in his mid to late 50s…….ew……oh forget to mention….Jack survived the chemicals….he’s now back…disfigured and scared…..his skin is pale white….his hair is green….lips red….and has a big cartoony smile on his mouth….a permanent one…..just to show u an example of how the comedy in this film is like…..well heres this scene……

Yeah thats the type of humor in this film…..then again this film is made by Tim Burton…..so……..shocker……also thr city of Gotham in this film looks Gothic like……so anyways……..this film gets a little bizzare…..I mean Joker falls in love with Vicky….he wants her….and Bruce Wayne is dating her….so basically this Joker is a gangster who wants a girlfriend….oh so interesting……oh and there’s this scene….ill tell u this……..this scene feels outdated in my opinion……enjoy…..I guess?

Guys, I’m not a fan of this scene…..I use to like it….don’t know why…….it just now outdated…..yeah this is the joker in this film……I mean don’t u just feel the fear when looking at him…..so basically batman comes and saves her blah blah blah….oh in this film Bruce Wayne finds out Jack was the one who killed his family…..when that never happened in the comics……Joker never killed Bruce Wayne family…..oh and get this how he found out….well his family’s killer said ….tell me do u dance with the devil in the pale moon night…..then Joker says that to Bruce Wayne in this film in the middle act of this film……I mean thats good detective work? 🤷‍♂️…….oh heres that scene…..and I do like this scene because of how odd Joker acts…..

So anyways now Bruce Wayne has a reason to kill Joker…….thats right…batman….kill…..yeah I’m sorry batman never kills….so as u can tell this didn’t sit well with the fans……so anyways let’s get to the third act….Joker throws a parade…to give everyone money…but his secret plan is he has toxins in his balloons…..he releases the toxins….which start killing people……yikes…so batman comes in his batwing and saves the city….I do like this scene…..

I mean again I like the way the Joker acts like……”come on u gruesome son of a b**ch…come to me….hahaha come on”……ok ill admit it i like Jack Nicholson Joker…..he’s strange…..so anyways Joker takes Vicky Vale up to church tower…….where batman follows them up to….. so batman has to fight against jokers goons….don’t worry he kills one of them by throwing one of them down to the bottom this very tall tower……anyways….

In this third act……Vicky sees batman and pretends to seduce Joker so batman can come and get the upper hand……anyways batman does want Joker dead…..again that’s dumb….so anyways batman and Vicky get knocked off but luckily they’re holding on a ledge……and jokers copter comes in and tries saving him….but batman tosses a grapple to jokers leg and attaches it to a gargoyle statue…..which leads to Joker falling to his death…..yikes….so anyways Joker is dead….hurray?…..the day saved…..and the city makes a bat signal for batman….the end…honestly I recommend this film its odd yes but enjoyable…..its in HBO Max I believe….gonna give this film a solid 8/10
