so I should start off with saying,  I never read the book….but I will say this….even though I never read the book, I know how inaccurate this film is…..its kinda hard to tell who the target audience is for this film….I mean this film is to dark for children to watch, the film is inaccurate to the book….sure it will piss off book fans…..oh and this film is a major departure from the classic animated Disney film….so again who is this film meant for?….is it meant for the Tim Burton Fans…….BTW this is a Tim Burton film…..if any of u who’s seen Tim Burton films, then u already know what ur getting ur selves into….for u of those who don’t know Tim Burton….well to summarize it up, basically all his films are….um unique…and also have a dark tone to it….I feel like I should give a warning to u all…..this film is dark……and I still don’t understand to this day how this film got a PG rating…..if ur wondering how violent it can be for being PG…well in this film we see a small mouse person, take her knife and stab it into a animals eye ball…and poke it out………rated PG,  for everyone of all ages!……

……also we see a dragon get decapitated,  then see his head rolling down some stairs cases……..rated PG!….meant for kids of all ages!?……if u so…yes live action Mulan is PG-13,  and that film doesn’t feel like a PG-13 film….it feels like a PG film…..I think these 2 films need there ratings switched…..so anyways let’s get onto the plot. But wait here’s 2 pieces of the soundtrack that I loved the most.

• so we see our main character….Alice (played by Mia Wasikowska)….she’s about to be married to a snobby ginger haired guy……..lovely 

…..we also get introduced to her stuck up family…..lovely…

…….but luckily Alice sees a white rabbit wearing a tie…and holding a pocket watch….he starts running away and she starts chasing it down….right,  because if I were to ever see a rabbit holding a pocket watch and wearing a tie….my first thought would totally be…follow the rabbit….

….seriously Alice?….ur not gonna question this?….at all?….anyway thanks to her following the rabbit, she falls into a rabbit hole…..and to summarize this whole scene…..she wakes up in small room…..she sees a cake that says eat it to shrink…and she eats it and she does shrink…..again, why would u put something in ur mouth without questioning if its poisoned or not?….idk because either Alice is dumb….or because the script says so…..so then she opens a random door that leads her to the outside….and its time I describe what this world looks like…..its Grimm looking, also has grey sky…..wait what!?….thats not what Wonderland looks like…..oh right keep forgetting this is a Tim Burton film….nevermind this checks out…


…..so she bumps into a small mouse person, and the rabbit, 2 creepy pale looking male bald twins……and a creepy vanishing grinning cat……trust me it looks creepy……they tell her about a prophecy,  that Alice is the chosen one and has to kill the Jabberwock (voiced by Christopher Lee)…..yes that Christopher Lee…..also yes u heard me right…Tim Burton made Alice the chosen one….


…..I I just…why?……why?…she was never the chosen one…there was no prophecy…..this is just all made up bullshite!….do u see what I mean, when I say this film derails away from the source material…….sighhhhh……anyways they lead her to the mad hatter….played by Johnny Depp…and oh boy..me looks nothing like the mad hatter from the original animated film….in the original film…he was a short quirky guy with buck teeth and had ginger hair thats messy….but in this film…..he’s normal sized, has white paint on his face, with black paint around his eyes….and he’s wearing brown suite, with some mish mash of colors on his outfit……Tim Burton…did u ever read the source material?…or even see the original film?…..anyways so during this tea party scene….we find out again…..yes she’s the chosen one……



…..sighh….lets skip a bit….so we get introduced to our main villian the Red Queen (played by Helena Bonham Carter)……to basically summarize up her character…she bad woman…she has big head with big red hair, she also has bad temper…where she order her guards to cut off someone’s head…….rated PG…really?…..oh speaking of Harry Potter actors…..also Alan Rickman is in this film…he voices a blue caterpillar who smokes….why are these 2 great Harry Potter actors doing in this film….I don’t know….im assuming money convinces all……also how did Disney think they would get a kid friendly film from Tim Burton…..Jesus lord Disney…its freaking Tim Burton….subtlety is not in his book…..so anyways back to mad hatter……he tells Alice why everything looks destroyed……its because the Jabberwock burnt everything and everyone……including young children…….rated PG!?…….so anyways skipping a bit……hatter puts Alice on his hat and tosses it towards the red queens palace….while her guards capture hatter……so to summarize the second act of this film…..white rabbit and all of hatters friends are at the red queens castle…..as servants…….rabbit gives Alice a cake that makes her big…..which now the red queen mistakes her for a freak and let’s her into the castle……so while there….Alice frees hatters friends……she takes the sword that is in the prophecy……yeah the red queen has the sword….also hatter is forced to make hats for her…….also he gets set to be executed by red queen because she isn’t happy with him?……but don’t worry his friends including the smiling cat saves hatter…..so then they escape….they and Alice go see the white queen……played by Anne Hathaway……just why?….also I definitely don’t remember there being a white queen in the original film or source material…..heck in this dilemma the white queen and red queen are sisters….again I do believe Tim Burton is making stuff up…..anyways so while at the white queen castle….she bumps into the blue caterpillar….he finally convinces her this is all real….yeah for some reason she thought throughout this film this is all a dream……hmmm…..anyways and get this….I don’t know why this film is called Alice in Wonderland….because it turns our this isn’t her first time here…she’s been here as a kid…so this is a sequel?….of sorts to the original film….and this place isn’t called Wonderland its called Underland…….so let me get this straight…so this film should be called…..Alice returns to Underland……also seriously….underland?…..Tim Burton,  u had one chance…its not even possible to mess up that name….because its in the title of this film. ….u freaking freak of nature……sighh…so third act comes up and wat is about to begin….the battle is on a big chess board….just go with it….anyways fight happens,  blah blah blah…….Alice kills thr Jabberwock….by decapitating it…..how lovely……for some reason now all of the red queen guards turn on her and arrest her…..happy ending…..woo-hoo. …..Alice gets sent back up to normal life…..she calls of the wedding. ..because she doesn’t like her soon to be husband. ..also she wants to set sail on a boat and explore the world…how lovely. …and this is my favorite part of the film….

That’s right the ending….because I really like the music that plays at the end of this film during the end credits…..finally…the end…..anyways my feeling on this film, is i actually like it…..it just baffling that this is PG….while Mulan 2020 is PG-13…that film is tame compared to this…….like by a long shot…….also this film is iffy……if ur a fan of Tim Burton then u will like this film….if ur not a fan of Tim Burton then u will probably hate it…..also if ur fan of the book and or the original film…then u will probably hate this film……..and don’t show ur young kids this film…..its dark……anyways im gonna give this film a solid 9.5/10

Honestly I never understood all the hate for this film, I enjoyed it through and through, I prefer Alice in Wonderland when it’s darker and more Gothic.
