六‍ Character Rundown

Hiro Hamada – A brilliant but impulsive young inventor grieving his brother. His journey is equal parts emotional and action-packed.

Baymax – A walking marshmallow of comfort and comedic relief, designed to provide medical care but reprogrammed for heroism (sort of).

Tadashi Hamada – Hiro’s older brother and mentor figure who dies early in the film, but his influence continues through Baymax.

Go Go Tomago, Wasabi, Honey Lemon, and Fred – Tadashi’s quirky and lovable college friends who bring unique skills (and chaotic energy) to the superhero team.

Professor Robert Callaghan – A respected robotics professor and mentor at San Fransokyo Institute of Technology.

Kabuki Mask Guy – A mysterious villain who steals Hiro’s microbots and wears a creepy kabuki mask.

⏱️ Pacing / Episode Flow

The movie moves at a solid pace—balancing action, comedy, and heart without ever feeling sluggish. It opens with a great underground bot-fighting sequence, quickly pivots to tragedy, then builds back into an energetic and emotional superhero origin story.

✅ Pros

Baymax is adorable, hilarious, and emotionally resonant. He’s a walking hug.

The emotional core of the story (grief and healing) is surprisingly mature for a Disney movie.

Visually beautiful, with San Fransokyo being a stunning blend of Tokyo and San Francisco.

Solid action scenes with creative tech.

Baymax’s “Ba-la-la-la-la” fist bump? Iconic.

❌ Cons

Some side characters don’t get as much development as they deserve.

The twist villain reveal could feel predictable for older audiences.

藍 Funny Lines & Moments

Baymax scanning Hiro: “You have a slight epidermal abrasion on your forearm. I suggest an antibacterial spray.”

The entire scene where Baymax tries to sneak around the house quietly while low on battery… pure gold.

Baymax’s “Ba-la-la-la-la” fist bump — instant classic.

 Here’s My Favorite Song in the Film

“Immortals” by Fall Out Boy — an absolute banger. Plays during the team’s superhero montage and adds energy and hype to the sequence.

 Final Thoughts

Big Hero 6 is fun, heartfelt, and surprisingly deep. It’s about grief, growth, and how healing doesn’t come from revenge—but from remembering the people you’ve lost and living in a way that honors them. Baymax isn’t just a robot—he’s a legacy. And Hiro’s journey is as emotional as it is heroic.

勞 Spoilers

Hiro’s brother Tadashi dies in a tragic lab explosion while trying to save Professor Callaghan.

The Kabuki Mask Guy is revealed to be none other than Professor Callaghan, dunnn dunnnn dunnn!

Callaghan let Tadashi die, which hits especially hard.

Why Callaghan Turned Evil
Professor Callaghan’s descent into villainy wasn’t born from a thirst for power — it was grief. After losing his daughter Abigail in a botched teleportation experiment run by tech mogul Alistair Krei, Callaghan faked his death and stole Hiro’s microbots to exact revenge. Blinded by rage, he ignored the irony that he, a once-beloved mentor, was now destroying lives to avenge one. His motive is tragic — the loss of a child — but his method turns him from grieving father into full-blown kabuki-masked supervillain.

Hiro initially wants Baymax to help him kill Callaghan, but Baymax reminds him of Tadashi’s true intentions—to help people, not hurt them.

In the end, Baymax sacrifices himself to save Callaghan’s daughter from a collapsing teleportation portal. But Hiro finds Baymax’s chip in the rocket fist and rebuilds him.

Final Defeat Callaghan: He’s caught in the act and arrested once the evidence is revealed, and Hiro and his team are able to expose him. But not before Hiro and Baymax save Callaghans daughter from the teleportarion realm.

Anyways the end, oh wait hero rebuilds Baymax because he put his chip in his closed fist that Hiro still has, so with Baymax memories in tact he rebuilds Baymax and now the team is back together.
