Non-Spoiler Rundown:
Villains of Valley View is a modern Disney Channel sitcom centered around a family of supervillains forced into suburban hiding. After the hot-headed teenage daughter Amy stands up to the League of Villains, the family is forced to flee and assume normal lives in a quiet Texas town. But blending in proves difficult when you’re used to ruling the world with chaos, lasers, and monologues.
Over two seasons, the family juggles teenage drama, evil impulses, and laugh-out-loud domestic chaos. It’s surprisingly charming, frequently funny, and has more heart than you’d expect for a Disney sitcom. While it’s clearly inspired by Nickelodeon’s The Thundermans, it still manages to carve out its own chaotic little niche. 💣🏡

Characters & Cast (with Thoughts):
Amy Madden / Havoc (Isabella Pappas) – The fiery, sarcastic daughter who started this whole mess. Easily the show’s standout. Great comedic timing, and underneath all the snark, there’s real heart. Isabella Pappas absolutely carries this show and has a bright future ahead — especially since she’s also part of the Stranger Things Broadway prequel. 🔥🎭
Vic Madden / Kraniac (James Patrick Stuart) – The eccentric dad and former evil genius. Hilariously immature and narcissistic, constantly competing with his kids for attention. He’s like if Dr. Doofenshmirtz had a family sitcom. A total buffoon, but that’s what makes him memorable.
👉 Side note: James Patrick Stuart previously appeared in Jessie and Supernatural. He played the main Leviathan villian.
Eva Madden / Surge (Lucy Davis) – The mom and former queen of villainy. Oddly the most rational and likable of the bunch, which is ironic considering her reputation as the worst villain of all time. She brings both menace and maternal instincts to the table — sometimes at the same time. 👑⚡
Jake Madden / Chaos (Reed Horstmann) – The older brother. He means well but often comes off as bland. Has some funny moments but doesn’t stand out too much.
Colby Madden / Flashform (Malachi Barton) – The youngest sibling and the one who drags most plots down. Tries way too hard to be “Disney Channel goofy.” You’re not a fan — especially since his character often steals too much screen time. 😵
Hartley (Kayden Muller-Janssen) – Amy’s best friend and the MVP of the human characters. Sweet, optimistic, and somehow balances out Amy’s chaos. Surprisingly not annoying, which is rare for the “normal best friend” trope. 👯♀️
—
Side Characters:
Celia – The nosy neighbor who gets wrapped up in the Maddens’ life. Classic sitcom trope but executed well.
Starling – A heroic rival who adds tension and flair to Amy’s arc.
The League of Villains – Mostly one-dimensional, but they work as comic foils.
—
Pros ✅:
Fun concept: A villain family trying to act normal = sitcom gold.
Strong performances from Isabella Pappas and Lucy Davis.
Surprisingly solid character growth.
Some genuinely clever writing.
Cons ❌:
The two brothers are the weakest links, especially Colby.
Some episodes feel overly “Disney-fied.”
The theme song is forgettable.
Nothing about the premise is truly original (The Thundermans, anyone?).

Final Rating: 8.5/10
It’s not revolutionary, but it’s funny, heartfelt, and genuinely worth checking out — especially for fans of quirky family comedies with a twist of villainy. 😈💥

⚠️ Spoilers Ahead – Y’all Been Warned ⚠️
Amy is the one who defies the League of Villains in the pilot, setting the plot in motion.
There are multiple fake-out moments where the family nearly blows their cover.
Starling’s arc adds a fun rival angle that evolves into mutual respect.
Despite their bickering and schemes, the Maddens always come together in the end — showing that even villains have a heart (sort of).
Season 2 digs deeper into Eva’s dark past and how feared she once was — which adds a layer of depth to her character.
Let’s hope Season 3 gets announced — because this dysfunctional supervillain family deserves more screen time. 💚
