🧬 So… how many alien clones can fit in a Hawaiian zip code?
Leroy and Stitch: let’s start by showing yall the trailers shall we?
📺 About the Series (Which I Didn’t Watch)
Before we go any further—
No, I will not be reviewing the Lilo & Stitch TV series.
Because I never watched it.
Yes, I know it’s kinda important because that series is when they go and locate the remaining 625 experiments that Jumba made.
All I will mention is this: the theme song for the series is amazing 🎶
Told you it’s catchy.
Good luck getting it out of your head now.
🧪 So What’s The Plot Rundown?
Well, in this film Dr. Hämsterviel gets freed from prison and he has made his perfect evil clones of Stitch.
Named Leroy. Why Leroy? Why not.
While Stitch is promoted by the head council to own a general shop and be in charge of it, Pleakly is offered a spot at a college he wanted to go to, and Jumba is offered his scientific place back.
Why? For them to find all 624 experiments and give them a job/home on planet Earth or Hawaii.
How big is Hawaii if they can fit 624 alien experiments on it?
Also, this means Lilo is all alone on planet Earth, and she’s sad.
Don’t worry, the gang does eventually miss Lilo and get sad as well.
So:
- Will the gang reunite with Lilo?
- Will Dr. Hämsterviel get brought back to justice?
- Will his army of Leroys get destroyed?
All will be revealed in the spoilers.
😐 What I thought …
Overall, eh, I don’t know. I don’t love this film as much as I did with the first and third films.
I just didn’t find it fascinating to see Lilo be miserable for the second half of the film and see the gang split up.
Also, I’m getting tired of Dr. Hämsterviel. He’s starting to just get on my nerves.
So yeah—solid 6/10.
⚠️Spoilers ahead, y’all been warned. ⚠️
🚨 Spoilers and Clones and Chaos, Oh My!
Come the 3rd act, Lilo has found Experiment 625 and gives him the name Reuben.
They both hotwire Gantu’s ship where they end up getting arrested by Starfleet.
Gantu saves them and helps them escape.
They get into a car and meet up with Jumba and Pleakly.
Gantu gets into the car and they escape to go back down to Earth to an arena, where Dr. Hämsterviel and his clones of Leroy are holding all the other experiments hostage and are about to unalive them.
But the gang shows up and a battle happens.
The team figures out the way to destroy the Leroys is by going on stage and playing music.
So they get on stage and perform a band song, and all the Leroys malfunction and die.
Dr. Hämsterviel is sent back to prison.
Gantu is given back his position as captain.
Stitch and Jumba and Pleakly go back to Earth to live with Lilo.
So—happy ending.
