🎬 Let’s start by showing y’all the trailers, shall we?

Yeah, it’s time to rip the bandage off and review this series once and for all. Also yes, this show—just like Bad Batch—uses the same animation as The Clone Wars. So in a way, we can connect these side projects to Clone Wars and say they’re DLC.
🧭 So what’s this show about?
Well, we follow two characters:
That new female character who was introduced in Mandalorian Season 1 and who also appeared in the Ahsoka show to go save Thrawn and be his right hand in command. She’s so forgettable that I forget her name.
Then we follow the character we all wanted to see: Bariss Offee. (That’s right—we’ve not seen her on screen since September of 2012, when she was put away in prison for framing Ahsoka for murder as a cover-up to Bariss blowing up the Jedi Temple.)
Yeah. 2012. And this six-episode show came out last year on May 4th, 2024. Only took us 12 years to see what Bariss has been up to.
👀 So What’s She Been Up To?
Well, glad y’all asked. She gets recruited by the Empire to become an Inquisitor.
Will she stay an Inquisitor or will she not? All will be revealed in the spoilers. But for now…
🎯 Final Rating: 4/10
Yeah, this one’s a downgrade compared to Tales of the Jedi. I don’t know what happened here, but this one’s definitely messier. Plus the story arcs weren’t compelling this time.
⚠️ Spoiler Alert — Y’all Been Warned ⚠️
Time to spoil the third act and any revelations.
So does Bariss stay as an Inquisitor?
Nope.
She realizes the horrors and what the Inquisitors are really for—which is hunting down and killing Jedi. Plus, hurting innocent people if need be.
So she abandons the Inquisitor who was training her and runs off to live on a snow planet.
Why?
Because why not.
Anyway, the Inquisitor eventually finds her and they fight it out.
Any guesses on how the fight ends?
Well, Bariss dies, of course. But before she dies, she gets the Inquisitor to realize the truth of what the Empire stands for and the damage they are doing.
To uh… think for yourself and go on your own journey.
Wow. Very riveting.
Anyway, the end. Yay?
Yeah, if you couldn’t tell by my lack of excitement…
🫤 So, Did I Care?
Not really.
I mean it was nice to see Bariss again, but besides that gimmick, the show got stale very quickly.
I didn’t care to see the origin of that witch woman meeting Thrawn for the first time.
It was interesting to see Bariss becoming an Inquisitor…
It’s just too bad that didn’t last that long.
Oh well, at least we got Tales of the Jedi.
🎭 The One Scene I Liked
I will say my only favorite scene is when Vader makes a cameo:
Yeah, that’s the only positive—and this scene isn’t even all that great.
🤔 What’s Next?
With this sequel series being a letdown, it does get me concerned for the upcoming Tales of the Underworld series, which releases today by the time I release this review.
Who knows. Uhh… fingers crossed.
🦨Where do we land on the Jarrodism Meter?
This one was a Stinktuation I couldn’t get out of fast enough.

Anyway, hope y’all enjoyed this review. ’Til next time.
And May the 4th be with y’all.
