Aloha Scooby-Doo: so let’s start by talking about positives and possibly negatives.

Positives: it’s a Scooby-doo film.

Negatives: I got none.

Ahhhhh Hawaii, I been to the island when I was a kid, I wish I had Pics to share but I don’t. Mainly because didn’t have a phone back then, maybe one day I’ll go back there.

So what’s the plot rundown I bet y’all are wondering. Well in this film the gang goes to Hawaii, ah Hawaii (ok I’ll stop doing that) Anyway the gang makes it to Hawaii.

Where they meet this whacko named Jared Moon who lives in his van and is selling Wiki Tiki totem necklaces to ward off the Tiki spirits. Also, the gang has made it to Hawaii in perfect time.

Just to learn locals and tourists are leaving because of a sighting of this Wiki Tiki Monster and his goonies kidnapped this girl named Snookie, who’s dating this famous surfer named Mondo.

Both Mondo and his friend Little Jim (the irony is he’s anything but little) anyways the gang now have a mystery on their hands to figure out who the Wiki Tiki is, to bring back Snookie and prevent people from leaving the island otherwise the stock market there will crumble.

That’s no good for business, btw The gang does encounter the Wiki Tiki for the first time when they decide to split up and keep an eye around on the beach.

Velma is on a boat, with Fred holding onto a glider gliding in the air looking out with Binoculars.

Daphne on a surfboard in a bikini (yeah early 2000s got away with some stuff that’s for sure)

Shaggy and Scooby-Doo are on the beat with snowcones, they escape onto a surfboard when they think they hear the Wiki Tiki.

I love this scene way too much, I love that in this entire scene, there’s only 1 line of dialog and mainly just music.

Also, the Tiki can shoot out fireballs! The hell?

Anyways the gang gets the help of Mondo to help them get through the forest to find this fortune-teller shaman lady named Auntie Mahina.

On the way through the forest Mondo hears the Wiki Tiki and gets taken away, eventually, the gang does make it to Auntie Mahina who hands them a charm to protect them.

So will the gang be able to uncover the truth of the Wiki Tiki? Will they be able to rescue Mondo and Snookie? All will be revealed in the spoilers. For now, let’s get the rating out of the way.

Overall yeah it’s getting a 10/10, love Scooby-Doo, and Hawaii is gorgeous. Plus also I don’t think this needs to be stated but the story is interesting.

Time to spoil the 3rd act and any revaluations, so come the third act.

The gang discovers a small little base room in the volcano along with robotic parts, and a steamer lever that releases steam.

Ah so that’s how the volcano always looks like it’s active, but what’s with the robots? Well, the gang decides to unmask this whole wiki Tiki malarkey by joining in on a surf competition.

Of course, the gang defeats the Tiki by knocking him off his board to shore, oh sorry wait they don’t knock him off his board, the waves do that on their own.

Anyways now it’s time to unmask the Wiki Tiki, and who is it? It’s Mondo, and really why am I not surprised? Well, I guess it made sense that the Tiki was Mondo, the biggest dead giveaway was why on earth would an ancient wiki Tiki need a surfboard?

An ancient wiki Tiki that spits out fireballs, and uses a surfboard to surf the waves, yeah something ain’t lining up here.

Oh, and his girlfriend Snookie was in on this as well, say what now? Yeah, she’s been helping out by remote controlling the small Wiki Tikis, ahhhh so that would explain the robotic parts.

So guess who wins the contest? Scooby-Doo, is awesome. While Mondo and Snookie get taken away to prison, yeah good riddance.

Anyway happy ending, now the resort doesn’t need to shut down.
