Titanic

Titanic: I’m excited about this one, today we’re trying something different. We’re gonna take a look at my favorite historical moments in history, granted it’s a short list but still.

Today we’re taking a look at The Titanic, ohhhhhh this subject. So what fascinates me the most about the Titanic? Well, firstly everything.

Let’s begin from the top, the titanic was invented in March 1909, for some reason, many of the men believed the ship was unsinkable, unsinkable huh? Talk about having an ego.

Really if u ask me about my perspective on the Titanic, it wasn’t the iceberg that sunk the ship. It was men’s ego and Hubris.

Anyways on April 10, 1912, the Titanic set sail, it originally wasn’t going to because they didn’t have enough coal. But the other ships that were made by the White Star Line put a halt on those ships’ sails.

And loaned their coal to the Titanic so it could make its voyage, anyways we all know what happened next, on the night of April 14, 1912.

The Titanic hit an iceberg and it took a total of two hours and 40 minutes, yeah it wasn’t an instant thing.

Here are 2 depressing facts for y’all,

1. The musicians decided to stay on board and continue to play music while the ship was sinking, well that’s depressing.

2. The coal workers knew they were dead either way, so they decided to continue working and put coal in the furnaces to keep the power on for the guests so they could see in the pitch black, those people sacrificed their lives that night honorably.

Out of the Approximately 2,224 on board of Titanic, Approximately 1,500 died.

Yeah 1500, jeepers see this is what u get when u don’t put enough lifeboats on a ship, anyway in case some y’all didn’t know. The ship split into 2, the back half first sank in the ocean.

Then the front half sunk last, both pieces of the Titanic can be found roughly 12,500 feet down beneath the ocean, where the sun doesn’t shine. Where creepy creatures exist down there.

Also, both pieces of the ship are located approximately 2,000 feet apart from each other.

The back side landed in a way it imploded on impact, the front somehow stayed intact. The ship wasn’t discovered until  September 1, 1985.

Yeah took them 73 years to discover the wreckage, yeah if it isn’t clear already. The wreckage is withering away.

It’s all rusty, heck I did a review on a documentary of the Titanic if y’all wanna check that out. I showed images there and put the documentary video which shows the Titanic underwater.

If u have a fear of the ocean like me u probably don’t want to watch it or look up images. But also I’m gonna show y’all some images now so look away if y’all have a fear of the ocean.

Anyway hope y’all enjoyed the history lesson, till next time.
