Machu Picchu: I’m excited about this one, today we’re trying something different. We’re gonna take a look at my favorite historical moments in history, granted it’s a short list but still.
Today we’re taking a look at the city of Machu Picchu or as it’s called The Lost City In The Clouds, because the town is located on one of Peru’s tallest mountains.
I’ve been to Machu Picchu, and that was an anxiety trip for me because I have a fear of heights. Also up there they don’t have railings, yeah don’t ask me why, no railings whatsoever.
So if it’s wet up there and u just happen to slip and fall off the mountain, then that’s bye-bye for u. Hope u enjoyed ur short life.
So what makes this place so fascinating to me? Well, firstly it fascinates me that somehow the way the Incas built these buildings, to this day they are able to still stand up.
Keep in mind they didn’t use any cement or glue, yet somehow the buildings have stayed up to this day (well minus the ceilings, those have collapsed). Machu Picchu was built by the Inca civilization, likely during the reign of Inca ruler Pachacuti (1438–1471), in the mid-15th century, around 1450, and abandoned in the 16th century.
Also here’s a bit of a fact for y’all, both the Incas and Mayans sacrificed people to worship a god, talk about a cruel convince.
Also, I’ve never begun to understand the whole sacrifice warship thing.
Anyways the town disappeared without a trace for centuries but was rediscovered on July 24, 1911, by an American explorer and Yale University professor, who was led to the site by a local farmer, Melchor Arteaga, and an 11-year-old boy.
I recommend going out yall ways to research Machu Picchu, it’s such a fascinating place. I would way go to Machu Picchu but that’s a bit more expensive.
Plus If y’all have a fear of heights like me then this will be hell for y’all. Also here’s some images.

Anyways hope y’all enjoyed the history lesson, till next time.
