Ancient Egypt: I’m excited about this one, today we’re trying something different. We’re gonna take a look at my favorite historical moments in history, granted it’s a short list but still.
Today we’re taking a look at one of my favorite historical cultures of all time which is Ancient Egypt, it’s on my bucket list to visit Egypt one day.
So today’s discussion will be different, Instead of talking about lore (because there’s tons of that) I’m instead gonna talk about what facilitates me most about Egypt itself.
And give my hot take on museums, u will see why I mentioned that, it will come up later.
So Ancient Egypt was built roughly around 3100 BC, why did they use hieroglyphics? Ancient Egyptians used hieroglyphics primarily for monumental and artistic purposes, like decorating temples and tombs, and for religious and royal inscriptions.
All for decoration, actually that checks out.
Anyways so what fascinates me? Well, firstly I just love the way the architecture of the buildings looks like in Egypt, I especially like the hieroglyphics.
Even though I understand none of it, it still looks cool. Also, I find it fascinating that people believe that aliens helped make the pyramids, no I don’t believe in that malarkey.
Nor do I believe that any deities helped make the pyramids, I believe it was due to great architecture and timing.
The fact the pyramids were built that long ago with no cement or any sticky substance and to this day have still been able to stay up, while a lot of modern architecture barley lasts a decade before having issues
I also find the subject of mummification to be fascinating, the idea that they preserve their bodies by having their organs taken out except the heart.
Their brain was taken out through the nose, uh gross. Them has salt tossed on them wrapped up in go, and then be laid out in the sun for like a month or so.
Also, the last thing I really love about ancient Egypt is the gods themselves, my favorite being Anbubis, I just love the idea of a figure with a jackal head is cool.
He’s also the god of death, so that’s another reason I like that God, anyways now I got to mention what I find distasteful.
It’s the whole thing of archeologists coming to Egypt, finding mummies then taking them back to America to display in a museum.
In different countries, that’s called grave robbing. Heck, that’s also called grave robbing over here in America.
I don’t get it, so is a bad thing (obviously) to go grave, robbing, but u can somehow go take a dead body from another country and bring it back to place it on display? Hey, kiddos for only 40 dollars u can come and take a Pic of this dead person.
Enjoy the memories, can u see why I find this disgusting?
Also here’s a documentary on Ancient Egypt.
Anyway, let’s talk about something positive. Here are a couple of images of why I love Egypt and find it fascinating.

Anyway hope y’all enjoyed the history lesson, till next time.
