Slit Mouth Woman

Slit Mouth Woman: ohhhhhh turn off the lights, get a drink. Get under your covers today we’re in for some urban legends and folklore, u probably won’t be sleeping tonight.

Be warned ⚠️, these stories I’m about to tell will not be for the faint of heart or children, leave if u must or stay at ur own risk.

Today we will be taking a look at this iconic Japanese folklore. So what’s the folklore revolving around The Slit Mouth Woman? Or as she’s known as Kuchisake-onna.

Well, essentially this man went off to war, and while he was in war his wife became essentially a prostitute and had sex with other men.

One night at a bar the husband here’s about this woman who has sex with other men, he’s led to this woman. Turns out it is his wife and in his own home.

So in a fit of rage, he kills the man and slices his wife’s mouth open, yikes.

So now the ghost of the Slit Mouth Woman is seen going around wearing a surgical mask. This isn’t an odd thing because in Japan people wear surgical masks.

Also, she carries medium-sized scissors in the grey coat she wears, she will walk up to u and ask if she’s indeed pretty, and if u answer yes. She will take her mask off and show u her slit Mouth then say am I still pretty?

If u stutter or scream or say no, she will stab u, if u say yes she will let u go but then when u get hoke she will follow u and kill u. Wow, it’s a lose-lose situation.

What happens if u downright say no before she takes her mask off? Well, she’ll kill u, again lose the situation. But there’s a way to get out alive.

According to some, u either have to answer back by asking a question such as “idk, am I pretty?” Which will leave her confused about how to answer that.

Or u have to walk away while saying “Sorry I don’t have the time” and she will apologize and walk away, what a sweet vengeful ghost!

Anyway, will u take a trip to Japan to see if this urban legend exists? Or would u rather not and just stay at your home?

That’s if u believe in any of this, urban legends are just fun to speculate about and tell around campfires.

Ahhhhhhhhh!
