El Silbón

El Silbón: or known as The Whistler, oh were in for a spooky ride. Get comfortable, get under ur blanket. Get your favorite drink (not alcohol).

Be warned ⚠️, these stories I’m about to tell will not be for the faint of heart or children, leave if u must or stay at ur own risk.

So what’s the folklore revolving around El Silbón? Well he’s essentially the boogeyman of the south, he’s known as the Whistler because the sighting of El Silbón always involves a whistling in the distance.

He’s always described as wearing a ragged cowboy-looking hat, he carries a bag on his back with the bones of his father in it, say what now?

So yeah it’s time to talk about the origin of El Silbón, depending on where, his origin does change ever so slightly. But this is the one I’ll be sticking with today, for u see way back when.

The guy’s father discovered his son with a prostitute, a woman they didn’t like but he was madly in love with. So the father murdered the woman, so in a fit of rage, El Silbón murdered his father.

This leads to his grandfather taking him out to the woods where he gets whipped multiple times and cursed forever then is executed being fed to rabid hungry dogs.

Now to this day, El Silbón is always seen carrying a bag with the bones of his father inside, he only ever goes for unfaithful women, drunken men, and murderers.

So be careful, if u hear whistling coming from the distance, that might be El Silbón. By then u will be marked for death and it will be too late.

That’s if u believe in any of this, urban legends are just fun to speculate about and tell around campfires.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
