Tomb Raider 4 5 and 6 Remastered: let’s start by showing yall the trailers shall we?
That’s right folks were back, Aspyr has done it again, they’ve gone and rebooted 4 5, and 6 of Tomb Raider. So what’s the plot rundown of each game?
Tomb Raider IV The Last Revelation: the game is set completely in Egypt and around the events surrounding Lara Croft’s attempt to conceal Seth back to his tomb after accidentally releasing him, with only the exception of the training section in Cambodia where at the age of 16, Lara accompanies Werner von Croy in the search for the Iris.
I’ll give this game a solid 9/10, the janky controls and lack of direction are kinda what harm it for me.
The part that stands out for me is the segment where u play in Egypt which is one of my favorite locations, so any time an archeology game takes place there I will be happy.
Tomb Raider V Chronicles: the game picks up just days after the events of The Last Revelation. Lara is still missing and presumed dead.
A memorial service at Croft Manor brings together three old friends of Lara: Winston, Charles Kane, and Father Bram Patrick Dunstan. While the rain outside is pouring, the three reminisce about Lara’s earlier adventures: The hunt for the Philosopher’s Stone in Rome, a deep sea dive off the coast of Russia in search of the Spear of Destiny, a brush with Hellspawn in old Ireland, and a foray into a high-tech office complex to retrieve the Iris artifact.
Meanwhile, hundreds of miles away Werner Von Croy coordinates the frantic dig searching for answers buried deep beneath the Egyptian desert. Dunn Dunn! I’ll give this game a solid 8/10, maybe I’m not a huge fan of the janky controls
Tomb Raider VI The Angel Of Darkness: the story follows Lara as she attempts to clear herself of being the suspect of her former mentor Werner Von Croy’s murder while investigating the activities of a black magic cult. Will she stop the bad guys and make it to the object before they do? Well, no shit Sherlock.
I’ll give this game a solid 9/10, again the janky controls and lack of direction are what hold this game series back for me. Anyway I hope y’all enjoyed this review, till next time.
