Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2014: Let’s start by showing y”all the trailers shall we.

Oh jeepers were going down memory lane with this one…..we’re opening up old wounds with this film….oh good grief….so I’m gonna do something different with these 2 Micheal Bay films instead of giving a full-blown analysis.

This time I’m gonna give a brief rundown of the plot, then explain some of the controversies then explain what I think worked then what I think didn’t work….maybe go on a small rant because I have to when it comes to these films…..so with that out of the way here is the plot…

So what is the plot rundown? Well, for u see after April O’Neil (played by Megan Fox) discovers this secret organization named The Foot Clan.

Side note I refuse to call Megan Fox as April O’Neil, that’s insulting. She’s barley even April O’Neil, she’s just Megan Fox.

Has been around the docks at night, and she witnessed these 4 giant-sized teenage Turtles, one of which was played by Alan Ritchson (yes Reacher himself).

Take a guess who? Raphael, anyway so Megan Fox I mean April O’Neil comes off as a mad person so she gets fired.

So now she and the Turtles team up to take on Shredder and the Foot Clan, well ok I say Shredder but he’s more in the background.

So who’s the one that’s out there in the public eye? Why is this guy named Eric Sacks (played by William Fichtner) dun fact he was originally gonna play Shredder.

But that got backlash because a white guy playing an Asian guy, yeah yikes fair enough. But also to be fair this is the same Micheal Bay who gave us Transformers, which had dogs jumping each other in the sequel. So nothing surprises me.

Also, the original idea of the Turtles was gonna be aliens from a different planet, ok now that would have been taking things too far, I mean the designs of the Turtles in this film already are iffy.

They are huge, bulky, and look more like muscular men on steroids instead of actually teens. But the alien thing would go too far.

So will the TMNT and O’Neil with the help of her friend Vern Fenwick (played by Will Arnett) be able to stop Sacks? Also what a dumb name “Sacks”.

Oh, beware of Sacks, Sacks of what? Lololo, will they be able to stop the Shredder? What’s Sacks up to? All will be revealed in the spoilers.

For now, let’s get the rating out of the way so we can get into spoilers, overall this film gets a 3/10 without a doubt. Never been a fan of Micheal Bay, nor am I a fan of how he deals with the TMNT.

Time to spoil the 3rd act and any revelations, so come to the 3rd act, we find out Sacks wants to sell the mutagen that’s in the turtle’s blood to make money. So he takes the Turtles and to milk them, luckily April saves them and injects them with adrenaline.

Also, April was the owner of these 4 Turtles btw including Splinter, heck she named them. She owned these Turtles as a kid and let them go in the sewers.

Where they met a rat who got Mutated as well and became Splinter, oh speaking of I completely forgot to mention. I hate the design of Shredder that Micheal Bay went with.

In this film for some reason Shredder looks like a Transformer, yeah wish I was kidding, but his outfit looks like a Transformer mixed with Shredder. No, don’t ask what Micheal Bay was going for, here’s that fight scene between Splinter and Shredder.

Like I said, what the hell was Michael Bay thinking? Why does he have sharp Feathers coming down his wrists?

Anyways in the third act, April and Vern deal with Sacks by knocking him out, Shredder puts his mutagen container in a cell tower to have it spread to everyone to mutate them.

The Turtles have to turn it off, or Donnie has to while they hold off Shredder.

Now we got to talk about the way Shredder gets defeated, so they all including April are hanging off the side of the cell tower that’s dangling off the side of the building, and April nods at Raphael.

This nod essentially tells Leo to toss his sword at Shredder to distract him while Raphael yanks April back then forth to give her a swing, where she puts her foot out and kicks Shredder in the face.

Say what now? Yeah, that’s right, so Shredder in this film doesn’t get defeated by a badass kick, what I mean by that is like Kung fu or anything like that, nah this giant mech robot gets knocked off by a kick to the face by a scrawny person.

Sure, and yet Splinter and the Turtles struggled against him in this film, guess Shredder has all the sight except for hindsight, or Foot-Sight if u will.

Anyway the day is saved and the Turtles let Vern take all the credit and let him tell people he stopped Shredder, don’t ask me how anyone would fall for that. Anyway the end, hope y’all enjoyed today’s review.
