Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutant Mayhem: Let’s start by showing y’all the trailers shall we?
Yes, this is the recent entry in the TMNT reboots, I cannot tell u how many times this franchise has been rebooted but TMNT is Nickelodeon’s magnum opus……..so with that out of the way let’s get into the review shall we?
So what’s the plot rundown? Well in this 2023 retelling, we have the TMNT who are teens this time around, they use phones and record themselves doing stupid shit.
Anyways they want to go to school and make friends, unfortunately, Splinter doesn’t want them to go out there. He thinks the humans will milk them, Splinter voiced by Jackie Chan.
Don’t ask me why he thinks that, anyways they do go out one night and encounter a gang of mutants such as
Fly (the leader)
Bebop (voiced by Seth Rogan, and I’ve instantly lost interest)
Rocksteady (voiced by John Cena)
Mondo Gecko (voiced by Paul Rudd)
Leatherhead (who’s now a female instead of a male)
Also, the gang meets this girl named April O’Neil, this version of April is a shy person. When she gets in front of the camera she vomits, uh eww.
So when she hears of these robberies, she recruits the Turtles to investigate them so she can get the scoop, turns out the robbers are Mutants.
Unfortunately for the Turtles, Fly hates humans and he makes that clear to them, he wants to destroy humans.
Why? Because his previous owner Baxtor Stockman who was a father figure to him, got killed trying to save him in his house from an organization.
BTW Stockman was voiced by Esposito, what a waste of an actor. Just get him for the opening of the film and that’s it, anyways what’s the Fly’s motivation? Will the TMNT stop him?
Is his gang as heartless as the Fly? Will April get the scoop? Will Splinter let his kids go to school? All will be revealed in the spoilers.
But first, let’s get the rating out of the way, overall I’m happy to say they stuck the landing with this film, granted I still prefer the 2012 TMNT, but still.
Also, I like the art style they used with this film, the only issue I’d say is this film is too kiddish. So I’ll give TMNT Mayhem a solid 8/10, warning spoilers ahead y’all been warned ⚠️.

Time to spoil the 3rd act and any revelations, so the Turtles try to stop The Fly from destroying the world by dumping mutagen into the ocean, they appeal to his team and tell them do u really want to do this? No they don’t so they join the Turtles.
Especially Mondo Gecko because h3s just a radical dude, fly feels betrayed, but the gang tosses him in the ocean with the mutagen.
This somehow mutates him into a giant creature that mixes with fishes, so now the gang has to use some anti-mutagen that’s in a bag. They plan to inject it into the fly’s weak spot that’s on his head.
So the gang gets picked up by Fly and he’s crushing them, luckily for Splinter he finds out humans are nice and they hemp ger the bag to the Turtles so they can shove it into the giant monster.
The Turtles are tosses the bag to them and they break free then shove it down the monster’s weak spot, this causes the monster to explode back into the small critters it once was made out of.
Yay happy ending, New York is saved yay, the Mutan gang now goes and lives with the Turtles. While Splinter finally allows the Turtles to go to school and make friends, yay happy ending.
Oh, and the end credits tease that Shredder, the evil organization that kidnaped the Turtles earlier, now has a backup plan to capture the Turtles once and for all,
Bring me, the Shredder. Dunn Dunn dun! Anyway the end, hope y’all enjoyed this review and I cannot wait for there to be a sequel to this film.
