Agatha All Along: Let’s start by showing y’all the trailers shall we?

Yes I know I’m late to this, but in defense these days I’m iffy when it comes to the MCU, so it took me a while to come around to check this show out. What convinced me was after hearing how great it is, got to admit it, I agree with those reviews.

This show is entertaining, but before I get ahead of myself (don’t worry I’ll get into why I enjoy this show shortly) but first I need to discuss the elephant in the room, people including me were iffy on the idea of them making a show about a character that appeared in Wanda Vision back in 2021.

Also iffy about them naming this show based on the song for a said character that was in Wanda Vision, cue the music scene if some y’all don’t know what I’m talking about

“It’s been Agatha all along” Like I said, why?, well the answer to that is why not! I mean are u enjoying yourself? We have a show about Agatha Harkness, are u enjoying yourself? Huh, why not!?

So what’s this show about? Well, slight spoilers for Wanda Vision if some of y’all didn’t watch that show, I don’t blame u if u didn’t. After the events of Wanda taking away Agatha’s memories and her powers, leaving her behind In the neighborhood that Wanda took over essentially enslaving the people there.

But one day Agatha (played by Kathryn Hahn) who’s now a detective, gets called in to see a dead woman who appeared in the forest, who’s this mysterious woman? That doesn’t matter because this woman who’s an FBI shows up to help her.

Help her is a broad statement, more like make sure she remembers who she was because this isn’t the Agatha Harkness we all loathe. Who’s this woman? Well her name is Aubrey Plaza? Who’s she? Ehhhhhhh u will see.

But what’s important is she hates Agatha, hmmm shocker. Also, who’s the dead body? Spoilers it’s Wanda, wait what? I thought the last we saw her was her being crushed by the temple at the end of Doctor Strange’s Multiverse Of Madness.

How she get here? Doesn’t matter, what does is this mysterious boy (played by Joe Locke) shows up and tries robbing Agatha. The thing about this kid is every time he tries saying his name, he can’t. Well, he thinks he’s saying his name, but a zipper appears across his mouth when he says his name or anything about his backstory.

What does he want? Does he want to get to the witch road? What’s a witch road? IDK, but it has powers to grant wishes their desire. What he wants is to be a witch, so now it’s time for Agatha and this random boy to go build a Covern of witches which consists of 4 witches.

Why does Agatha want to go? She needs to get her powers back because Aubrey Plaza (played by Rio Vidal) tries attacking her and Agatha talks her out of it until she gets her powers back, but Aubrey warns her she’s gonna let the original 4 coven that they can go after her because she’s not the only one who wants Agatha dead.

So who are these 4 witches Agatha recruits?

Alice Wu-Gulliver (played by Ali Ahn ) (she wants to figure out what happened to her mother)

Lilia Calderu (played by Patti LuPone) (she’s the first one Agatha goes to recruit and offers her powers to get from the road)

Jennifer Kale (played by Sasheer Zamata) (she wants to get some power to unstrain her since she’s been strained down, and essentially has a magical chain around her)

Who’s the fourth member? All will be revealed in spoilers, but Agatha brings along this random nigher who has no powers named Sharon Davis aka Mrs. Hart (played by Debra Jo Rupp), she appeared in Wanda Vision, but u may know that actress as the grandma from That 70s Show.

BTW she doesn’t last that long in this show, she’d be the first one to die because when they get to the road. The road tests them with visions and she’s the first one to die due to the first test.

Heck, I love that this series shows us how cold-hearted Agatha is, when the Wiccan teen says Ms. Hart is dead, Agatha says who’s Ms. Hart? Wow just wow.

So will the gang make it to the road? Will Agatha make it out alive? Who’s this mysterious Wiccan teen? Why did Agatha invite this old lady instead of this mysterious 4th member? All will be revealed in the 3rd act spoilers.

But now let’s get the rating out of the way, overall yeah I love this show. I consider this a good Halloween shoe to watch, it’s the type of show to pop on during Halloween. It has the vibe and atmosphere of a Halloween show.

I do think this show is worth watching, even if it’s only 1 time y’all do it instead of rewatching it, u won’t be disappointed. What got me convinced was this show wasn’t afraid to be mature, I mean we see a fully nude Agatha Harkness in the first episode,granted we don’t see her tit’s.

But still, I was like “Disney, damn” Also if u like Witches I do recommend this show, so overall I’ll give Agatha All Along a solid 10/10. Warning spoilers ahead y’all been warned ⚠️.

So first spoiler, here’s the mid-season trailer, it does have a spoiler in the trailer

So yeah turns out that mysterious teen, turns out he’s Wanda’s son Billy Maximoff, huh? I thought her 2 kids were made up and not real.

Also where is his brother? That speedster brother?

Side note I love the final shot of the 5th episode where it’s revealed that this teen is Wanda’s son. We see him wearing the frown of the Scarlet Witch, then it cuts to the end credits with Billie Eilish’s song “You Should See Me In A Crown” accompanying the credits.

So what other stuff happens? Well

Alice Wu-Gulliver dies after trying to save Agatha from a failed Ouija board session, the ghost of her mom possesses her and wants Agatha dead. She just hates her daughter.

But as soon as Alice Wu-Gulliver tries to save Agatha using her powers, Agatha absorbs Wu-Gulliver’s powers which kills her. Oh, F**k right off show.

Oh, we get a back story of Wanda’s son, so this is where things get confusing. So turns out this teen was once a Jewish kid named William Kaplan.

One day during his party when he becomes a man, he and his parents have to leave because everyone is being evacuated because of this giant red shield appearing out of nowhere, on the road they they crash into a tree.

While William is unconscious, the spirit of Billy Maximoff enters him making him his host, uhhhhh ok then. So one day he and his new boyfriend met up with take a guess who? Ralph Boner (oh jeepers thanks MCU for bringing that back).

Waste of Peter Evans again, in a parking lot where he tells Billy about how Wanda held everyone in a sitcom TV show world as hostage including them. Dunn dunn dunn, well we already knew that.

He also reveals how Agatha Harkness enslaved him and took over his house, forcing him to do awful things such as poisoning a dog, yeah she’s truly evil.

So he locates Agatha at her home and after trying to enter her house to quote on quote Rob her, we in the first episode see her interrogating him at the police station.

Turns out she interrogated him in her own home the whole time, so she’s been hallucinating and unsure of what’s real or not, makes sense. Wanda did screw with her mind, so she locks him up in her closet thinking she put him in a cell overnight.

Ok good we’re all caught up on how Billy Maximoff is here, now let’s go through the remaining important Bulletin notes.

Turns out Billy isn’t after power, no he already has that. As Agatha points out to him after revealing she knew all along who he was.

That who’s he looking for? Mommy? Nah she chose a town over her own kids. Or is it his papa? Or what pieces are left of him, now it’s his brother Tommy.

Side note to add onto the reason I love this show is that in episode 7, both Billy and Agatha end up in the next test where they enter dressed in costumes.

Like I said I love this show, anyways back to the notes.

It turns out Lilia Calderu doesn’t live through things in order, her mind jumps through different times, yeah I can tell living like that would be miserable.

Turns out Lilia is the one who put the spell on Billy to prevent him from saying his name, because she saw back when she did his card reading for him at his party, what he would become and that he would need time.

Let’s see oh yeah Aubrey Plaza turns out to be Lady Death herself, yes yes get ur wait does she have any connections to Thanos like in the comics? Out of the way.

Turns out Agatha put the bounding spell on Jennifer Kale, wow what a B**ch.

Anyway come in the 2nd to last episode, death comes to attack Harkness. After all, she backed out of a deal with death to bring the boy to her willingly and let him willingly give up his life to her because he’s disrupting the natural world.

Billy gives Agatha some of his power to her, she now has power. So she fights against death, she realizes it’s futile so she tells Billy it should be her and that he should live, but Billy says nah take me.

So Agatha says u heard him he said take me, what a soulless B**ch, but turns out death pulls the reverse card and kills Agatha instead, so shouldn’t this be the final episode then?

Nope because there’s one more twist, Billy returns home looks around his room, and realizes his mind and powers came up with the witch’s road this entire time.

The things that were seen in the witch’s road are things he has displayed in his room. Dunn dun Dunn, what a twist, what’s clever about this show is there were subtle hints by Agatha saying ur like ur mother, and stuff like that.

What a twist, anyways Agatha shows up to Billy as a ghost, and he tells her so those witches died because of me? Agatha says don’t beat yourself up to badly. I would have killed them if u didn’t.

Wow, oh the final episode shows us the backstory of Agatha’s son being born, she made a deal with death, and yet her son still died.

Her son came up with the song Down the Witch’s Road, Agatha took that song and lured in other witches who heard of the song, believing the Witch’s Road is a real thing.

Agatha manipulated people to join her coven so she can just suck their powers out through the years, that’s how she survived. So yes this witch’s road has been a con, heck originally In this show she lured the 3 I mean 4 to her so she can suck their powers out.

But the witch’s road didn’t exist until Billy accidentally created it, there and then. So essentially Billy killed those people.

The show ends with Billy trying to banish Agatha to whatever afterlife she deserves to be in, but she can’t because she can’t take having to face her son again. So Billy gives her back the necklace and they team up.

Billy uses his power to open a door and they both now are gonna go find his brother Tommy, the end. Anyway I hope y’all enjoyed this review.
