Spongebob Squarepants The Plankton Movie: Let’s start by showing y’all the trailers shall we?

Oh goodie another Spongebob Squarepants film, because that’s what we need. Also, another Spongebob Squarepants film that went straight forward to Netflix.

Y’all should be ashamed over at those companies, Stephen Hillenburg is probably rolling in his grave right now.

So what’s the plot rundown? Well in this film we follow Plankton as he tries to steal the Krabby Patty formula for the umpteenth time, but of course, he fails at it again. So Karen takes things into her own hands redos the chum bucket and makes the chum edible.

Plankton isn’t having any of this because he’s a piece of shite, but he always wanted a successful restaurant which is what Karen gives him, so don’t ask me.

So he burns down everything and this makes Karen get mad, gasp Karen does a Karen thing! Nah she instead makes the chum bucket float in the air and magnetizes it.

She turns herself into a murder bot and plans to steal the entire town of Bikini Bottom and turn it into a mech robot, where she will leave Bikini Bottom and rule the world.

Well, clearly Plankton was never a genius because he never succeeded.

There are a few things that stuck out to me while watching this film.

In this film Mr. Krabs I no longer hiding that he’s a scumbag, he literally tells Spongebob a little thing called the invasion of privacy and why he does it, oh so we’re not being subtle anymore, got it.

This film is a musical, yeah did I forget to mention that this film is a musical? Because it is, yeah if u aren’t expecting this film to be a musical then uh it is.

If u don’t like musicals or the idea of Spongebob being a musical then this won’t do it for u, also I’d ur wondering what Spongebob amounts to in this film.

He amounts to being Planktons physiatrist, he tries to get to the roots of the problem with Plankton to try to get him and Karen back together and hopefully save Bikini Bottom.

How wholesome, too bad it’s Plankton. So ur time is being wasted, go spend ur time doing that on someone else Spongebob.

Will they be able to stop Karen? How do they stop Karen? All will be revealed in the spoilers, for now let’s get the rating out of the way.

Overall I won’t lie I found myself enjoying this film a bit more then I enjoyed the last few Spongebob films, granted that ain’t saying much.

But the 2 major praises I will give this film is the film utilized Sandy Cheeks a whole lot better then the that Sandy Cheeks film, Spongebob is utilized properly.

Unlike the last 2 films that utilized him, the comedy feels more like classic Spongebob Squarepants. Also, I love that this film panda on Plankton and Karen as characters.

So I’ll give this film a solid 5/10, warning spoilers ahead y’all been warned ⚠️.

Time to spoil the 3rd act and any revelations, so come the end the film. Karen has built her robot and has popped out of the ocean. As she is controlling the mech to go on land.

Plankton comes up behind her to give her an apology and tey to put the heart cog machine back in her, she doesn’t want to hear any of this bullshite and she gives him the krabby patty formula as he always wanted.

She says now leave me, but Plankton tosses the formula away and tells her the secret formula has been her all along, awwww.

She forgives him and they both now team up to destroy the world.

As they try to push a button, the thing starts collapsing, how? Karen says she made this thing 100% foolproof. Which Plankton says yeah but it ain’t Spongebob proof, yeah fair enough. So how is Spongebob defeating the robot?

By u slicing up all the potatoes in the factory in the robot which then causes the machine to power off, no don’t ask me how any of that works. Why are potatoes powering the robot?

Anyways so the day is saved, the town just falls back into its normal places. Yeah don’t ask me how that works, now Plankton and Karen are back together.

The town is about to turn on both. But Spongebob interferes and tells them it’s a romance story and everyone is a stickler for a romance story, so they all accept this. Except Mr. Krabs because his money has been taken. Then his money falls into his arms.

So he says ur right I’m a stickler for a romance story, oh u piece of shite. Anyway the end,, oh boy, and remember we’re getting a Spongebob Squarepants movie coming out in theatres in December.
