Batman Arkham City

Batman Arkham City: Let’s start by showing yall the trailer shall we?

So without further due let’s get into the review shall we?

So what’s the plot rundown y’all are wondering? Bruce Wayne/Batman (voiced by Kevin Conroy, RIP) sends himself into this new closed-off part of the city where they opened up for the criminals to live in.

Because there’s some corruption happening within the system in that town, who’s running the town? Why it’s none other than the crazy man, Dr. Hugo Strange (yeah we know he ain’t up to good).

But what is he up to? I’ll get to that in spoilers, but 2 other things stick out when Bruce gets into the city and gets in his back gear.

Well ok, 4 thing’s,

Catwoman is being held by Two-Face and is about to be executed by him, but he comes to save her.

Batman encounters Joker, turns out he’s dying because he injected himself with the Titan serum from the last game which if y’all remember mutated him into a big monster and altered his bones.

Yeah I can imagine how he now has a disease that’s killing him, and he infects Batman with his blood so Batman needs to find a cure for both of them.

So he goes and recruits Mr. Freeze after he attacks him, but first Batman has to go get Mr. Freeze’s gun back which has been stolen by The Penguin.

So will Batman find the cure to save him and Joker? Will Batman make it? What’s Hugo Strange up to? All will be revealed in the spoilers.

Side note the character designs in this entire Trilogy, hands down they are the best. They are the definitive versions of the characters, plus the games look gorgeous.

Also as always, the voice acting is phenomenal, Kevin Conroy will always be the definitive version of Batman and Mark Hamil will always be the definitive version of the Joker in my opinion.

There’s one downside to this entire Trilogy, those darn Riddler Trophies, oh boy those Trophies. Hard to get, pointless to get 100%.

This game has triple the amount of them this time because now u got an entire city to explore. Good luck finding them all, I don’t recommend it unless ur crazy and like 100% every game u play.

Also in this game, u can change Batman’s outfit, so u don’t have to stick with his default game outfit, I like that.

Now let’s get the rating….so yeah same thing as Arkham Asylum I don’t have any issues…well ok that’s a lie I have 1 issue but it’s minor….so overall uhhh 9.4/10, warning spoilers ahead y’all been warned ⚠️.

Time to spoil the 3rd act and any revelations, so who’s Hugo Strange working for? Turns out it’s ra’s al Ghul, dunnn dunnn dunnn.

So how does Batman stop Hugo Strange? Easy he breaks into his tower and beats him up then shuts down his tech which Strange says ruined everything.

Really? That’s it? That’s all the plans u had in place? 1 single plan and if it got foiled, and u had no backup?

Just one computer that controls ur tech that can disable the plan u had in place, the smartest man alive huh? So then Ra’s al Ghul comes up and stabs Hugo and blah blah.

Hugo blows up the building which causes both Batman and Ra’s al Ghul to fly out the window, Batman lets Ra fall onto a pointy building and get impaled, here I thought he had a no-murder rule.

So Batman takes some of Ra’s al Ghul blood to Mr. Freeze so he can make the cure.

Anyway he goes back to Joker, and finds out the Joker he’s been talking to is Clayface disguised as Joker, Batman faces Clayface.

Then Joker comes up to Batman as Batman drinks some of the serum, Joker accidentally knocks the vile on the floor which uh oh, now he can’t drink it.

So he coughs his last cough and dies, oh shite. Yeah, the game ends with Batman carrying our Joker’s body to the GCPD, damn that’s a dark ending. Anyway the end, here’s the full cutscenes of the game.
