Dying Light: Let’s start by showing y’all the trailers shall we

Fun fact, the people who gave us Dead Island went on to make this game.

Firstly I’m gonna give a brief summary plot then talk about the gameplay then some spoilers.

Well, u play as this character named Kyle Crane, who works for the government, your tasked with landing in this closed-off town called Harran.

To me what I like about this game is the town always reminded me of Haiti (where zombies originated from).

Anyways u get bitten (shocker), u get found by a group of people. One of which is a female u fall in love with, also she has a brother who’s in charge. He’s a hot head.

So u will find yourself doing tasks for these people, dealing with other people who are criminals all while lying about why ur here.

Heck, the gang tells u to go to the spots where military planes pass by and launch supplies in crates, to retrieve what’s inside.

Also, u will be finding yourself parkouring across buildings to avoid the dead, don’t stay out there at night because at night it’s when these special variants called the Volitials come out to hunt

These creatures are extremely fast, they can climb to u very fast, and they don’t stop hunting u down. Also, they are immune to damage it seems,  UT I wouldn’t recommend attacking them because they can take u out in like 2 hits.

Their only known weakness is UV lights, so u will have to turn around while being chased to aim a UV light at them which holds them off.

What’s inside is vaccines which they need, so will Kyle Crane help out? What’s his motivation? What’s he hiding? Will the other whackos in the town get the crates before Crane does?

All will be revealed in the spoilers.

Now let’s get the rating out of the way….overall this game is so freaking amazing, and it’s so creepy…this game reformed the zombie genre in games…Its ahead of its time. So overall I’ll give this game a solid 10/10, warning ⚠️ spoilers ahead y’all have been warned.

Time to spoil the 3rd act and any revelations. So turns out Kyle Crane has been working with the government or a specific portion who want to quote on quote find a cure to the virus.

I say quote on quote because it’s unclear what their motivation is, so after he tosses away the crates with vaccines into a fire. He pins it on a crime lord.

Good job, don’t worry this lie does eventually lead to that girlfriend’s interest and her brother to die, separately but still.

The brother who’s in charge decides to go attack this tower that’s swarmed with the undead by blowing it up, he gets behind and hides but he gets bitten.

The crime lord dude kidnaps Kyle Crane’s new girlfriend, infects her, and gives Kyle one cure. Gives him the option to either cure himself or her.

She demands he takes it for himself, so after essentially fucking over these people he met. During a final Confrontation on top of a tower against the crime lord.

Kyle Crane decides to help the city of Harran by tossing the cure off the building, that way the crime lord doesn’t get to have it, nor does the government who send a helicopter to go save him.

How was this gonna save Harran? Well, the government planned to nuke the city after they get the cure, but now Kyle has fucked them over by destroying the cure.
