Get Out: Let’s start off with the trailers shall we?

Since this is a Universal film, you know what that means? Cue the logo!

I wanna quickly mention that after seeing the 3 Jordon Peele horror movies I gotta say I absolutely see him becoming the next big horror movie director…..ok well maybe I wouldn’t call him a horror movie director, may a sci-fi thriller director….because to me out of these 3 movies, only this one feels the closest to a horror movie while the second film feels more uhhh sci-fi mixed with horror then his third film feels downright like a sci-fi movie but I’m getting ahead of myself….legs get into the review shall we?

Oh first let’s get the rating out of the way, overall I loved this film….this movie btw has a message basically about racism….u will see what I mean, so I’ll give this film a solid 10/10 I highly recommend watching this film. Warning spoilers ahead y’all been warned.

So this movie plot kick starts as soon as our 2 love interests Chris Washington (played by Daniel Kaluuya) and his white girlfriend named Rose Armitage (played by Allison Williams), anyways there both about to go visit her parents who Chris has never met before because they’re all white and she’s afraid they will be racist towards her boyfriend….

Ok understandable, especially depending on what period her parents grew up in….. Anyway, on the way to her house, they accidentally run into a deer and they call The cops…..ah yes great idea….just tell me what exactly would the cops be helping out with I’m curious. Oh, u ran over a deer? Oh, how dare u that’s uhh 30 years for life for u……good grief no no no just no.

So eventually they make it up to her parent’s house to visit them….her parent’s names are

Dean (played by Bradly Whiteford)

Missy (played by Catherine Keener)

And her brother Jeremy (played by Caleb Landry Jones)

On a side note, Chris Washington has a cop friend named Rod Williams (played by Lil Rel Howery) his character is absolutely funny in this film….remember him for later, btw Chris keeps him up to date with everything that’s going on….

Anyways Jeremy is like the stereotypical eloquent rude brother who hunts deer and carries a hunting gun with him often oh and he looks down to Chris….yeah that kind of guy, luckily the parents are nice to Chris…

Anyway one day at this group gathering, Chris gets to meet everyone..he feels slightly out of place because he’s mainly the only African American there…..yeah understandable why he’d be uncomfortable….

Just then a woman and her husband named Andre (played by LaKeith Stanfield) come up to him…..Chris offers to take a Pic of them…just then Andre freezes then a nervous look comes across his face…he grabs Chris by the shoulders and says Get Out! Get Out! Role credits….lololo…

Ok, something is really off here…why did the guy say Get Out? If that’s not weird enough…that night Chris takes a walk on the grass, he then sees a black dude in the distance dash towards him with his hands toward in a sprinting position….

Then the guy just dashes past Chris…..ok something is off about everyone here…the hell is going on? Anyways Chris keeps his pal Rod posted……Rod agrees that all sounds suspicious and all that…..but the wife seems oblivious to all this…she just says my family is a tad bit odd…oh yes odd? Guess that’s one way to describe them…

The next day Chris talks to the black guy, the guy is talking to Chris oddly like he’s a robot, being all like yes it’s ok..sorry about last night. I must get back to doing the yard work…..is slavery going on here?

If y’all are curious about what’s going on, I’ll just get to the point…we the audience first find out what’s happening while Chris and his girlfriend are out near the lake…her 2 parents are outside in the backyard doing a bingo auction to a group of rich white people…

Guess who they’re auctioning? Chris, say what now? Yeah, the plot thickens…..what the hell is happening? Anyway, that night Chris starts getting suspicious so he tells his girlfriend to find the keys they’re leaving…so she looks through her purse panicking because she can’t find the keys…..uh huh sure…

Anyway, he goes downstairs, and tells the parents they are leaving….his wife appears behind him still struggling to find the keys…just then they all drop the act including the wife, turns out the wife was in all this…dunn dunn dunn..

She planned for Chris to come here so her parents could do the thing they were about to do…so they knocked Chris out….his friend didn’t get any contact from his friend, also his friend was supposed 5o be back home…but he’s not home yet…

So he goes to the cops and tells them of a theory he came up with that Chris’s white girlfriend took him to her white parents so they can enslave him, mind control him to do their bidding…..so the cop laughs at his story, and says hold on a moment then calls in 2 more cops to come in and hear the guys story…she asks him to say that all over again…

Oh hahahahah no one is taking him seriously, so anyway Chris wakes up in a chair in front of a TV…..where on the TV the dad contacts him and tells him the plan…for u see the plan is that his girlfriend their daughter lured him out here so they can swap brains of Chris with the brain of a rich white man so the rich white man can live in a younger body….

Ohhhh ok yeah this film is nuts….anyways he wakes up on an operation table next to an old rich guy he met earlier at the party…this guy is getting his brain put into Chris, yikes….this old blind dude who just wants to be young and not blind….oh btw we, unfortunately, unfortunately see the process of the old guy’s skull being cut open. Then we see the brain be taken out…if ur squeamish at the sight of that I recommend looking away….

So as the father is about to transport the brain into Chris oh and cut his skull open…Chris breaks loose, and kills the dad with the saw….then the brother chases him down to the main entrance of the house where they both have a brawl against each other….

Then the mother comes out trying to hypnotize Chris…but it doesn’t work, and he eventually kills them both….yay, all while he’s dead beat evil wife is upstairs eating cereal with no milk…gasp u monster, she eventually hears all the ruckus so she goes downstairs to investigate….

Anyway, he runs out of the house, and his girlfriend chases him down like Jason Vorhees…but with a shotgun, he makes it to the road where she knocks Chris on the floor….as she’s about to aim the gun at him. And as we believe he’s gonna die…all of a sudden a cop car comes over and runs over the woman….guess who it is who came to save Chris?

It’s his buddy, yayyyyyyyy! He came and saved his friend……turns out she’s not dead yet…she tries crawling away….but she ends up dying from the wounds…good riddance..

So they now both ride off away from this place, yayyyyy happy ending….except I bet now Chris won’t want to ever date again and will feel paranoid….

Anyways the end, hope y’all enjoyed this review…I sure as hell enjoyed watching this film and then reviewing it… Anyway here’s a tease for the next review I’m working on….till next time…
