The Penguin Episode 3

The Penguin Episode 3: Let’s start off with showing y’all the trailers shall we?

So this week’s episode is 59 minutes long, so now let’s get the rating out of the way shall we….overall I’m still in love with this show like a lot…were now 3 episodes in, and I’m still heavily intrigued in this show……it’s a really great show I still recommend it.

At least we got this show over Joker Folie à Deux which was a terrible film, WB needs a win.

Overall I’ll give this episode a solid 10/10, warning spoilers ahead y’all been warned.

So in this episode, we open up to Vic’s life with his family…..his Latino family, anyways he has a great house life (this takes place before he lost everything). Anyway, he is about to go hang out with his friends…..1 of them his family doesn’t approve of because he’s in a gang.

Anyway, so Vic and his friends and his lady friend who he has a crush on decide to go hang out on a roof…..where Vic kisses the girl. Just then an explosion goes off…they think the show is starting but then they notice explosions going off everywhere….water comes in flooding the city….

As u can tell this takes place when The Riddler’s bombs go off, anyways he looks nervously at his family’s house…he grabs his phone, and tries to call them…but the water gets to the house and smashes into the building.

Also, we see the flood tear down a bridge filled with cars……gasp, it’s funny that the Riddler thought he was being a warrior of justice. But instead all he did was make the lower-class citizens and poor people’s life 100 times harder. Good job.

Yeah talk about a dark opening for this show, this show can definitely get heavy. But that also adds to the intrigue of this show…

Anyways cut to normal day, Vic is just staring off in the distance out through Oz Cobb’s apartment…..Oz tells Vic he’s driving both him and Sofia tonight….which Vic is baffled, Oz says yeah why do u think I got u new clothes? Also, he asks if they are both partners now? Which Oz says until she sees me as not necessary.

Oz says look I know I’m asking a lot of u I get it…I just realized we never discussed ur salary….so he pulls out $1k cash, and hands it to Vic and says what if we start off with one a week….Vic says 1 thousand a week u serious? Which Oz says from now on, u want something u ask for it..

Which Vic says I want 2 thousand, Oz says that’s what I’m talking about but no….just then the doorbell goes off….but then Black Gates starts calling Oz so he goes and takes the call in another room…he asks Vic to buy him some time.

Vic says what if she asks about her brother? Or Castillo? Which Oz says tell her u had a hand in sling em both…..heh heh heh….he’s joking btw, which he tells Vic he’s kidding.

Anyways Vic lets Sofia in, and she starts walking around. Vic tries to make small talk, she asks him how did Oz find u? Which he says I was doing work on his car….he saw something in me and hired me….

Which Sofia says so ur a mechanic, he says yeah kinda……oh yeah sure definitely kind of, anyways Oz comes out and Sofia says we’re leaving it’s gonna be a long night….Vic is not to come, Oz will be driving her tonight…..just like old times because he used to be her driver which she told Vic..

Anyways Oz has him drive her to a dock where she brings diamonds to some men…then she takes him down to a secret lower basement where they are growing these fungus.

There chemist named Trey Bloom shows them around, Oz doesn’t seem impressed…he almost touches the fungus but Sofia tells him to not because they are fragile.

She shows him they are using this fungus for…she shows him this red substance on it…which Trey says they’re the Basidiospores…which Oz says the fuck did u say to me? Hahahaha.

Trey explains they are bleeding tooth fungi….they’re a rare strain….these fungus can take out the whole block or more in Gotham if they break…

But Sofia tells Oz to find them a Distributor because they are gonna sell this drug and make tons of money….Anyway if ur wondering what Vic is doing, he called over his girlfriend to Oz’s apartment so they can hang out….he only tells her that he’s a driver to a club owner…he doesn’t explain he’s working for the mafia.

Anyway he tries kissing her but she tells him she’s moving to California, and she can’t live here anymore. Their school is underwater…. their family is dead, the dream is dead…

She says she’s leaving tomorrow night, she tells Vic he can come with her and they can have a new life….well Vic I think it’s now time to explain to her the situation ur in…luckily he does he explains his boss he works for isn’t a club owner he’s a gangster…

She tells him he shouldn’t be working for him…..which yeah understandable, he basically says he doesn’t have a choice he’s seen too much… Anyway he gets a text from Oz….he tells her that she needs to leave….Oz is almost back….so she hands her money and says go stay somewhere nice and I’ll buy myself a ticket and meet u at the bus stop we will leave together….

Awww, wonder how Oz will take this…..which he tells her he will figure out how to tell Oz.

Anyways back to Sofia, The Croat actor meets up with Sofia…he tells her to take a hint, Luca is head of the family now….when he tells u to go to Italy u go to Italy….he then hands her a plane ticket, which he says I know ur not right in the head that much is clear…

But I’m not scared of u all I see is a spoiled brat who got what she deserved…..she says she needs a couple of days to pack up and that she appreciates this…he says 2 days or I’ll just tell people that’s where u went….

Wow, what a scumbag, I hate him. Anyway, next day Vic drives Oz and Sofia to meet this guy named Link Tsai…he’s brought booze for him.

I guess he wants to show him some gratitude….but anyway the guy comes walking in and has his men aim a gun at them……he wants his cut, Oz tells him u think I came empty-handed, Sofia pulls out a vile or drug, and says this is why we’re here…

Which Oz says we’re calling it Bliss. Hmmm, that has a catchy tone to it….bliss, so Vic is in the car practicing how to tell Oz how he is gonna tell Oz about wanting to leave…

Anyways a cop shows up, and tells him he’s parked in an illegal area, Vic says he’s working for a noss. He pats down Vic….he finds loads of cash in Vic’s pocket…he says u have a lot of cash on u for ur age….Vic says idk what cash ur talking about I don’t have any…

The cop says I guess not, he then says when ur boss comes u leave…..well guess his money has been taken away.

So Oz comes up with a deal with Link….they both tell him that The Croat actor character is funding them on this…he doesn’t believe them….he says I need proof, a call will suffice.

So they tell him they will get him the call….Sofia asks Oz what aren’t u telling me about Tsai….which Oz says I have a plan but u will need to trust me….so Oz takes Vic out for a fancy lunch….where they get to chat, they order their food After Vic tells him the story of the cop taking all his money.

Which Oz says welcome to the business kid, anyways Oz asks Vic about his family and what jobs they had…..Vic tells him his dad was a mechanic but in his heart he was a chef….the guy knew how to cook, he’d cook Mexican food. His mom was a home medical aid.

Oz says that ain’t right, look fuck, the world ain’t set up for the honest man to succeed….mechanic is a good job that should be the American dream right there….a beautiful story a happy ending, but that’s not how the world works.

He then asks what was his name which Vic says Juan Ramon Aguilar…..so Oz does a toast for Juan Ramon Aguilar…he says the man raised a great son he’d be proud of u Vic. Oz is a great man.

Anyway this whole time Oz has been eyeballing this woman at a table talking to someone, this someone leaves so he goes over to the woman and he knows her…he says hiya Tina…..Tina is wondering what Oz is doing here. Which he says I need a favor. But it will sting.

If ur wondering what that favor is well, the next scene shows that Oz and Sofia walking into a bedroom of The Croat Actor having sex with Tina…..womp womp, they caught him left handed u’ve been caught…he tries threatening Oz which he says or what u gonna haunt me?

He says u both working together, which Oz says btw she didn’t like u calling her a Psychopath…so here’s what’s gonna happen ur gonna tell Tsai u sat down with me and Sofia and that we got ur support…

The guy says u seriously want me to lie to the triads? Which Oz says it doesn’t have to be a lie…well whichever way u wanna play it. We could all rid of Luca together right? Look Sofia gets a family, I get rich and u get to fuck Tina’s brains out on a beach with white sand…which Sofia says sounds good to me. Which Oz says yeah doesn’t it? What u say?

The guy says I thought u would know better than to trust Oz after all he did to u, no one trusts u….no one takes u seriously ur a goddamn joke. We keep u around because ur The Penguin…so Oz jumps onto the guy with a knife and puts it in his mouth and says this Fucking funny to u huh!? U scumbag!

U and the family letting Sofia hang out there to dry!?

U lowlife two timing fuckin coward Viti (right Viti is his name, ehh I’m still gonna call him The Croat Actor).

So then Oz gets off of him and tosses him the phone. Oz ways make the Fucking call…anyways now we’re at the club where Oz, Sofia, and Vic are at….he says tonight we’re here to make fuck tons of money.

He stops Vic for a second I wouldn’t ask u to do this if I didn’t know u could do this. Anyways Sofia says do u think the trick will work? Sofia says I can’t tell who wants this more? Me or u?

Oz says I want this for u, Sofia says u know how to say the right things….so then Sofia says was it worth it? What u done to me? Did u get everything u wanted? It seems u just keep wanting and wanting.

Oz tries avoiding the question by asking who’s asking, u or Viti? Which she says I asked u a question….which he says come on it’s been 1p fucking year….she tells him to remember Tsai is here for me, not my driver….remember that.

Anyways Sofia and Oz sit down with Tsai’s boss…he says this has promise I can’t lie, but this is risky…..he says how can I trust u since I know where u been? She says I’m not the only one with history….I did some back research on u.

I would have u reconsider…..she explains that look down there they are loving the drugs..

Anyways Vic is down there, and some woman tries to have a dance with him….he all of a sudden has a mental breakdown. He has visions of the explosions that night and the fear he felt…..uh oh.

Sofia doubles down on this is a very powerful drug and whoever is in control of it will be in control of the future of the drug trade in Gotham.

But if ur not interested that is fine. I can go find another seller….Oz says the fuck u doing? Sofia tells him he’s seen what we have and let him think over it.

Anyways Vic is in the restroom cleaning up. he tells him things are going great….the group has joined them, and things are looking great for them but he still has the Maroni’s on him….

He says I told the girls out there to give u an extra something….he notices Vic’s phone go off, and he says hand it over….he looks at the messages and says u going somewhere with my money? We’re this very close! Vic tries to explain it’s not her it’s everything idk if I can do any of this.

Oz says and ur too good for this life? Huh! Well if u want to leave just leave….Vic says I can’t, which Oz gets hurt and says the fuck u think I’m holding u hostage or something? That ur my prisoner? Then he pulls a gun out and aims it at Vic and says is this what it feels like being with me?

What did u have before I found u? Fucking nothing u were a goddamn nobody, I gave u clothes and money. A fucking place to crash..

You got all the opportunity in the world right fuckin here, for Christ sake. But this (aims gun to his head) this is all u feel? U could have left whenever u wanted, but u chose to stay.

He then shoves Vic to the mirror and says u should ask yourself why did u stay? Which Vic says I uh, so Oz says let me help u out….u stayed because u want something better in life. U want more then what ur father ever had.

Vic says says no my dad would be disappointed in me, Oz says u wanna know what’s disappointing? Working ur whole goddamn life and having nothing to show for it.

U still think there’s good or bad? Right or wrong? There ain’t, there’s just this…only survival.

Vic says fuck u, Oz says fuck me?! Fuck the world? They won’t ever notice u! So leave Vic u don’t deserve this.

Awww I feel bad for Oz…..all he ever really wanted was to be loved and have a friend, he’s never had that. This hurt me a bit.

AOL anyways Vic takes Oz’s car and drives to the train station where he just stares at his girlfriend about to go on the train….Vic has second thoughts, he just stares and decides to let her go…..awwww how sad, clearly he doesn’t want to leave Oz.

Poor the both of them, anyways Oz is at the club drinking his sorrows away.

So anyways Oz walks outside where he sees Sofia smoking a cigarette….he tells her they are in, she doesn’t seem to pleased. She says trauma sells, u will do fine without me….he says ok fine I did fuck u over is that what u want to hear? She says tell me that wasn’t ur attempt at an apology…

He says I didn’t know that’s what Falcone would do I didn’t know he would send his own flesh and blood to Arkham….he says I thought I was watching out for u, she says liar u ratted me out…he says I ain’t no rat. She says and I ain’t no Hangman.

U see the way they look at me, right? I know u do…and what was it all for u huh? So u can become a capo? Ur not even a made man. Which Oz says ur right I ain’t. I still made out like a goddamn bandit and it was worth it.

U asked me, that’s my fucking answer I got the club, I got the drops operation I got my own thing. A guy like me? Getting all that, that don’t mean nothing to u but it does to me.

Awwww, so yeah I don’t regret what I got. Sofia laughs a bit, Oz says look I am sorry though I messed up….u meant a lot to me and u still do, I will never let that mistake down.

So then Sofia grabs another cigarette, which Oz lights it up for her. Which she hands him, Sofia says idk where to go from here, Idk how to trust u….I mean fair, I wouldn’t trust him either….he says what if I keep showing u how?

Just then this car comes riding up to them, Falcone’s wife comes out of the car with armed men and says u think u can pay us? We’ve been watching u mother fucker…..womp womp well I think the jig is up.

Anyways Vic rides back just to see Oz on his knees I the alleyway about to be shot….so he comes up with a plan to ram the car into one of the guys, which injures Vic…..gasps, Oz enters the car…..Vic says what about Sofia? Oz says fuck, leave her……well guess she finally knows.

Anyways Oz expresses his happiness he says I knew u would come back Vic….I knew u had the balls, we’re in it now Vic…were in it now!

Ohhhh shite things are about to get more hectic, aren’t they? I want y’all to remember no one in this show are good guys (except Vic), these characters are lowlife scumbags who will double-cross each other….hence why there’s a massive comparison to the Sopranos.

Anyway here’s the teaser for the 4th episode. I absolutely loved this episode. Like a lot.
