The Spider (Horror Spiderman Short Film):

Warning ⚠️, this is not what most of y’all are thinking this is…this is definitely not for kids, and this isn’t a typical Spiderman movie…this is a fan-made horror short spoof on the Spiderman origin…so leave now if u accidentally clicked on this thinking it’s a Spiderman movie…

Ok with that out of the way I think that I should start by talking about what is even this short….then I’ll give my rating as well…

So how do I describe the idea of this film? Well, this film is basically if the director of this short took the origin of Spiderman, then took David Cronenberg the fly….then took the layout/benefit of a short-length YouTube film…fused them in a blender….then u would get this Spiderman Horror Short…

Oh, and this film stars Chandler Riggs from The Walking Dead…..yes that’s right Coral plays Peter in this horror short…well, I guess if anyone wanted Chandler to play Peter, this is the closest y’all will get to that….

So this film is essentially a horror parody of spiderman…..this isn’t the spiderman we all love and know, forget everything u know for this short film….

Now let’s get the rating out of the way, so overall as a different take on the spiderman mythos I got to say I enjoyed this short….makes me wish we’d get a full movie like this, however I also realize we already have a horror movie like this, it’s called The Fly made by David Cronenberg…so the plot of this short isn’t really original, it’s a mesh of The Fly and Spiderman….but this short still works.

So I’ll give this short a solid 9/10…from here on out warning ⚠️ spoilers ahead y’all been warned.

So in this horror short we basically see the origin of Spider-Man, Peter Parker one day gets bitten by a spider at a lab on a school trip….he then finds out he has powers, but since this is a horror short the powers play out differently….for instance he finds his way in the middle of a road, a robber comes up to him…

He grabs the robber’s arm, which causes the robber’s arm to start melting/burning…..uhhhhhhhh, then he makes his way back home where he tries to go wash the blood off his hands in the sink…also he notices the Spider bite on his hand getting bigger…..

Afterward he goes into his room, and his hands get stuck to the wall…he then kneels on the side of the wall, realizing he can attach himself to the walls and ceilings…see I told u Spider-Man origin story…so he goes out on a run across the roofs…

Anyways he goes back to the apartment, sneaks into his room….proceeds to vomit, uh ewww…

He then notices he vomited out a tooth, uhhhhhhh. So he runs to the restroom where he pulls out another tooth….he then faints, then we see him face down on his table at school….

Well got to give Peter credit here, this kid vomited out his teeth, and accidentally melted a guy’s flesh off just by touching him….and he still went to school the next day….either he’s a trooper or he’s an idiot…u decide for yourself.

Anyway Gwen tries waking him up, oh sorry I meant a girl with a terrible-looking blonde wig that doesn’t look convincing at all….then the teacher wakes him up….he lifts up his head reveling this uhh how do I describe it…this cobwebby mucus attached from his mouth and nose down to the table…..gross..

Anyways he gets put into an ambulance where he’s moaning in pain, then spider legs come tearing out of his flesh…

He then runs home straight upstairs, Ben hears his son come back in the house so he goes up to his door and asks If he can come in…Peter says no, and he says oh come on open the door u can talk if u want? Don’t hold anything back…

He opens the door, and then Aunt May returns home wish groceries, she goes up to Peter’s room notices cobwebs around the room then sees this mutated Peter eating the corpse of Uncle Ben…who’s lying in Peter’s arms!

Sigh, even in a horror spoof of Spiderman origin. Uncle Ben still dies, in Peter’s arms….can’t Uncle Ben catch a break? Anyway the short ends with Peter staring at Aunt May while she’s crying….she then screams, because of the sight of Peter….he has no hair. He has couple eyeballs around his face.

He has these 2 pinchers coming out of his mouth…then we see a tear drop from his eye, then the film ends…oh there’s an end credit scene where MJ is walking in an alleyway at night…then this giant mutated spider jumps down behind her…presumably eats her…

Also, this is a spoof on that Spiderman hanging upside down in an alleyway at night kissing MJ after saving her….so Anyway hope y’all enjoyed this review, also here’s a teaser of the next review I’m working on.
