Spiderman Miles Morales: Let’s start off with a trailer shall we?

So where to begin, well firstly this is a kinda a sequel game but also not a sequel, its more of a spinoff….so let’s get into the review

So in this game, that takes place near Christmas….after Miles and Peter help transport rhino in a crate, he accidentally breaks loose casting havoc….so the 2 spiderman have to go chase him and try to stop him, yeah that doesn’t go to successful if yall couldn’t tell…..after the incident Miles blames himself (because was accidentally his fault) but Peter said but he was able to fix the mess up and save Peter……

Also apparently Peter Parker is gonna be going out ot town for few weeks leaving Miles as the only spiderman in New York city…..Peter asks if he’s got this, which Miles says of course I got this, go and have fun….so the plot kicks in when this oh so not evil corporation runned by a guy named Simon Krieger (Leader Of Roxxon Energy’s Nuform Project) right because with a name like that they are totally not evil…

His plan is to create a new form of energy for the city, wow so evil….lolo but don’t worry he is evil….he’s doing all this for selfish reasons (what those selfish reasons are? Idk I forgot that’s how forgettable this villian is, he’s just a one note generic bad guy who’s rich) awesome not like we seen that before…..anyways also as a side thing Miles helps put his Uncle Aaron who works as a train maintenance worker….

His uncle recognizes that it’s Miles under the spiderman suit because his voice sounds like Miles…although how would he know that since uncle Aaron in this game hasn’t seen Miles since he was like a baby, so ehhhhhh…..also he is also secretly a bad guy named the Prowler who is working for our generic business bad guy man…..wow what a shocker, not like anyone who reads the comics would know Aaron is a bad guy…

Basically he’s a mercenary who gets hired, also his attire is well a purple mask, metalized gloves, purple greenish suit…..anyways also in this game Miles long time friend named Phin Mason comes back into his life….to summarize up why they’ve not seen each other in a while, ahhhhhh Miles promised when he goes to a different school away from the school they both are at, he will still be friends with her…but as soon as he got to the new school they kinda had a dropping out…Miles became too busy and didn’t find time to hangout or chat with her..so she felt abandoned….yeah are yall caught up yet?

So anyways there’s also another bad guy group in this game named the underground, lead by a person named the Tinkerer…..they try to attack on the night Miles mother is running for neighborhood president, Miles aka spiderman stops them but he notices an explosion at the bridge…..the Tinkerer and her terrorists are they’re stealing viles of that new energy from our generic bad guys company……

Also during this encounter Miles finds out that Phin his long lost friend is the terrorist leader…dunn dunn dunnnnn….yeah she’s doing all this to attack our generic bad guy because he’s bad…….Miles is of course conflicted since Phin is his best friend…..anyways after the bridge attack and the bridge falling apart, he has to save the people on the bridge…

Anyways later on in the story (keep in mind this is a shorter game then the first spiderman game) on Miles crusade to stop Simon Krieger and the Tinkerer….Prowler confronts spiderman attacks him, but he’s doing it out of love can’t yall tell?….he doesn’t want Miles to get involved he’s afraid Miles will die…ok I understand where Aaron is coming from…he cares about Miles, granted he’s expressing that in all the wrong ways…

But knowing Miles yes he gets involved, he needs to save the city….but he won’t be doing it alone, he has the help of his best friend Ganke Lee (yeah that’s definitely a name) and he’s Miles guy at the computer…he’s there to help him…hmm funny he’s basically the equivalent of Ned in the MCU spiderman, or vise versa?

BTW forgot to mention Ganke Lee helps Miles create his own original suit in this game…his iconic black and red suit, he needs a Miles Morales original…..anyways he needs to find a way to take down Simon Krieger, and his personal army patrol he’s sent out to kill masked men including spiderman himsel, and his long time friend Phin Mason, so anyways later into the story Miles mom finds out he’s spiderman, because he enters there apartment with the spiderman suit still on but with his mask off…now u would think she be panicking but she accidentally accepts him for what he is…because he’s helped out alot..

Now that’s a supporting mother if I’ve ever seen one…..so Miles has a plan to both stop his best friend and stop evil corporation dude, he’s gonna try to talk his friend out of murduring the guy, and reveal to the world the rich ass hole is indeed a rich ass hole….so he tries to go stop his friend but by the time he gets there Phin Mason and her brother are already activating the power Cells cannisters, cresting a shield around him and the machine there turning on…

Anyways the brother ends up dying, Phin starts to realize what has she done? Maybe she pushed things too far…..no shite Sherlock, so Miles uses his electricity powers to destroy the machine which zaps him back and badly injures him….so Phin does the heroic thing and takes Miles up in the sky to absorb that electricity, then drop him and let herself explode…..well that was dark….anyways miles lands under some heavy rubble, his mask is off…when his mom pulls him out of the rubble everyone who sees him which is basically the entire neighborhood, they keep his secret…he puts the mask back on….

Yayy, also day is saved finally the corporate bad guy is going to prison….because guess they now realized that he’s evil….so Miles is left mourning the death of his friend, but he must continue on as spiderman….anyways Peter returns, and asks how things went? Which all went well…and the game ends on a freeze frame of both spiderman swining in the air…the end…

BTW completely forgot to mention there’s 1 side quest where u gain the trust of s store manager who doesn’t think u r spiderman and that there’s only 1 spiderman….but we prove we can be a spiderman by getting his pet cat back for him….which he starts loosing up to us…we eventually get to keep the cat and have it as a style where Miles spiderman is wearing a backpack with the cat inside it…also the cat is wearing a spiderman mask….how cute

Overall I enjoyed this game, it was a nice little fun distraction…..I am glad we got a Miles Morales standalone game just like how we have 2 standalone Miles Morales spiderman films…so I’ll give this movie a solid 9/10
