Book 1: So let’s start off with showing yall the trailer shall we?

So for this review I’ll give a brief synopsis of the entire show, mention some important events and characters….also I wanna get this out of the way but I absolutely love this show its freaking spectacular…..get this it’s an anime show but made in the US by Nickelodeon….yes me and Nickelodeon has had some rough times but this show I cannot fault them for because its amazing…so with the Netflix Live Action Series about to come out on February 22nd I wanted to review this series and the sequel show The Legend of Korra….

So without further a due let’s get into the review shall we?

Firstly the rating, Overall in my opinion I say book one is the weakest out of the 3 seasons, don’t get me wrong its not bad but it ain’t the best, so I’ll give season 1 a solid 7/10

So the shows plot is about and kicks in once these 2 siblings named Katara and Sokka who live in the middle of an ice village called The Southern Water Tribe, anyways they stumble upon a giant ice ball located in the middle of the frozen ocean….btw if yall are wondering what they’re doing their? Well Katara and Sokka come from a tribe called The Water Bending Tribe….for u see in this universe there are 4 bending powers, there is Earth Bending, Fire Bending, Water Bending and finally Air Bending, unfortunately, Air Benders aren’t as common as they used to be….mostly Air Benders were monks who live in a temple in the mountains…..

The last documented Air Bender was this chosen one called The Avatar, basically to put it bluntly its foretold that The Avatar will bring balance to well everything technically….and peace, but The Avatar has vanished never to be seen again, so during this time since The Avatar has vanished this Dictatorship named The Fire Benders with there ruler The Fire Lord, have tried taking over other cities, peoples homes, threatening there lively hood…

So basically they’ve been a tyrant to other tribes…..so now we need The Avatar more then ever….luckily for Sokka and Katara they just so happen to find this giant ice ball thats holding The Avatar inside…it’s a boy named Aang, he is bald, has a blue arrow over his head, on his arms as well…he wears a orange robe…forgot to mention Katara and Sokka wear blue clothing….oh and Aang was forever asleep on his giant pet named Appa….who’s this giant furry creature that can fly…..alright then….along with a small flying pet with big ears named Momo

So they bring The Avatar back to their town, unfortunately, The Fire Nation shows up with the guy in charge named Prince Zuko, his hair is in a tight upwards ponytail…he has a massive scar over and around his left eye/face….Jesus wonder how he got that…..so get this Zuko has been after The Avatar to gain back his honor in his father’s eyes…for u see his own father The Fire Lord banished Prince Zuko from the Fire Nation (which I’ll explain why in a little while)….

So his uncle named uncle Iroh…who is this wise old guy with long grey hair, great beard and side burns…he also loves drinking tea, but mainly he thinks of Zuko as his son….Zuko doesn’t admit it yet but he also thinks of Iroh as a father…..so after Zuko brings The Avatar on his war ship to take him back to his dad…..Sokka and Katara leave on Oppa to go save Aang…..they make it to him, Aang uses Air Bending to escape……well u kmow, Zuko

So basically this show ends up becoming a he needs to learn both Fire Bending, Water Bending and Earth Bending before he can take on The Fire Lord…….so they head off to Aangs monk temple where he finds all his Monk pals are all dead…because for u see Aang was trapped in that ice bubble for like 200 centuries, well shite that’s a long time….anyways Zuko goes home and is humiliated by an Admiral named Admiral Zhao…..he can tell Zuko is lying to him when he keeps telling him I didn’t find the Avatar he is dead…

He knew he found the Avatar and the Avatar Escaped…..dun dun dunn, so then Zuko challenges Zhao to an Agni Kai (which is basically just challenging someone to a duel) it’s kinda how like in Game Of Thrones they call it A Trial By Combat…..anyways Zuko wins the fight and spares Zhao…so Zuko and his uncle walk away, while they have there back turned on Zhao he gets up and tries to kill Zuko…proving that clearly Zuko a teen who’s been banished clearly has better morals than this high respected leader…

Anyways Aang and Katara and Sokka find the air temple where they find all the airbenders are dead, dunn dunn they’ve been slathered by the Fire Nation…dunn dunn dunnnn, so now the 3 of them have to get to the north pole to meet up with a water tribe and it’s queen, so Katara and Aang can learn water Bending, especially Aang…since he knows nothing of water Bending……..

But first they go locate a previous Avatar named Avatar Roku, where he’s located at an island with a volcano……all while that happens Zuko and Iroh are trying to hunt down the Avatar before Zhao and his men with there equipment find the Avatar first…yeah Zuko really wants to prove himself to his dad….Iroh is just along for the ride to try to steer Zuko in the right path

Before the gang gets to the volcano island they do find a small city on a small island named Kyoshi Island, where they meet a group called the Kyoshi Warriors led by a girl named Suki, they wear this old traditional armor, green dresses, white makeup on there faces with red lipstick and red makeup around their eyes….

Anyways Sokka learns underneath them how to fight the way they do, but unfortunately Zuko and his gang come and burn down the village, so Suki kisses Sokka and says good bye and that they will hold them off till they get away…so the Avatar and the gang escape on Oppa….Yip Yip…

Zuko and his men leave…..the Avatar and his gang make it to the volcano island where Aang finds the ghost of Avatar Roku, in his throne room…..he talks to Roku, he tells Aang about this thing called Sozins Comet…and how he needs to go stop the Fire Lord before Sozins Comet arrives because it will make all Fire Benders stronger…..so Zuko and his men show up, even Zhao…

He has all them tied up including Zuko….so he can arrest them and bring them to the Fire Lord, but first he has to get Aang who’s behind closed doors…which he comes out but possessed by Avatar Roku, he destroys the temple….everyone escapes and now the gang heads to the north pole to warn the people there and learn water Bending….

So they get there, Sokka ends up falling in love with the princess named princess Yue, yeah they only met for like what 1 day and they are  falling in love with each other, anyways a random guy who’s not random, starts training Katara and Aang Water Bending…Katara finds out the random guy was originally gonna marry her grandmother but never did because it was an arranged marriage….

So anyways eventually Zhao and his men show up including this mysterious figure with a blue mask named The Blue Spirit, who is someone Zhao has been after because he’s a threat to the Fire Nation…..anyways I forgot to mention that Aang can go in and out of the spirit world, he tries to go to the spirit realm to ask for some help before the Fire Nation comes and attacks the north pole…but instead Aang comes face to face with a deeper darker malevolent spirit named Koh The Face Stealer, he’s this giant black like centipede with eyeball shaped head and a human face…that can be any face because he’s called the Face Stealer for a reason….he only steals ur face if u show emotion in front of him…..ehhhhh

Clearly this demon holds some resentment against the Avatar because some previous Avatar tried killing him….anyways Aang leaves,

Zhao and his men show up…a fight goes on against them and the north pole people, while Zhao goes and tried to locate the moon fish to kill it because if he does he will end any other Bending besides Fire Bending….or that’s what he thinks at least…

So the Blue Spirit saves the Avatar and takes him to a cave where Aang takes his mask off and finds out its Zuko….Aang leaves when Zuko wakes up and starts talking about how Aang doesn’t understand about honor and being abandoned yada yada…..so Aang leaves and finds Appa and his friends but Aang brings Zuko on board because he’s nearly freezed to death….well that’s an honorable thing for Aang to do….

Anyways they back to the battle, Zhao found the pond with the fish, Iroh shows up to defend the fish, he tells Zhao about if he kills the fish it will also turn off Fire Bending as well…don’t be stupid, but Zhao kills the fish anyways….

Noooooo, so the Avatar shows up tries to revive the fish because everything has gone grey, Zhao leaves and ends up bumping into Zuko outside, they duel…..Zhao realizes Zuko is the blue spirit and if he brings Zuko in along with Iroh and the Avatar that Zhao himself will be promoted…

Anyways Sokkas new princess girlfriend comes up with an idea, since the fish gave her life for a second chance what if she gives her life to the fish…after Sokka says his byes and tries stopping her, rhey both kiss each other, then she sacrifices herself, which revives the fish…..that was emotional….anyways a giant sea snapped fish appears and starts attacking the Fire Nation,

Then 2 water like hands grabs Zhao and drags him into the river from the bridge they’re on….Zuko allows the guy to drown…and the gang go there separate ways to go find an Earth Bending teacher for Aang…
