So I wanna start by saying that this review is going be a bit more unorthodox than usual……I’ll be giving y’all a brief rundown of the only versions of Doctor Who I watched which were

They will be brief run downs also I’ll be going kinda into a deep dive into like a small handful of episodes reason because why not also I’ll be sharing my favorite scenes as well and favorite soundtracks….some of the clips will fit into the Deep dives, others will not…..so this is what I mean by unorthodox also let’s start off with the opening theme enjoy 

Yeah this brings back memories of when I started getting into this series, btw since this is a review to honor the 60th anniversary of Doctor Who I want to play yall a video of each Doctor Who themes so here yall go

God I love the theme song, especially the Christopher Eccleston version…….so anyways today we will be going through these specific episodes let me list them now so I don’t forget the names, and here’s the rundown of the episodes:

Anyways he’s running away from and trying to stop an army of AUTONs  (alive mannequins) who mean the world to harm. Also, the AUTONs are a returning villain from the Doctor 3rd era. (Christopher Eccleston is the 9th Doctor. All though if you count the Time War Doctor. That makes Christopher Eccleston the 10th). Yeah this episode gave me the heebie-jeebies also yes this show can and will get into scary situations…..anyways by the end of this episode Rose asks her mom and tells her boyfriend that she’s heading out with the Doctor to see the universe, how nice…anyways 10/10

Season 1 Episode 1: Rose letsTalk about this technically being the start of Reboot series huh?…..because it is essentially a reboot but it’s also a sequel to the original series…..anyways so in this episode our main female character named Rose bumps into the 9th Doctor played by Christopher Eccleston here’s that scene

Season 1 Episode 9: The Empty Child

Yeah this episode gave me nightmares…..Essentially In this episode both Rose and the Doctor go into the past but they find themselves stuck in uhhh world war 2 I think where they encounter this boy wearing a gas mask saying are u my mummy? Jeepers I just got shivers while writing this……also this kid has the ability to call up anyone…..here’s a clip from the episode btw do enjoy the nightmares

So uhhh yeah besides nightmare fuel aside, this Doctor guy the Doctor finds tells him to locate a woman named Nancy who’s the sister to that boy wearing the gas mask he thinks she knows more then she’s leading on….yeah talk about a creepy episode. Also, Captain Jack is an important character; he’s a recurring character. He starts out as a time traveling con man from the 51st century. By the end of this adventure he becomes a good person. I give the episode 10/10.

So yeah overall I’m very mixed because I loved seasons 1 through 7, altough there were some dud episodes in my opinion…..as in they werent bad but they weren’t memorable either…..season 8 episode 1 I didn’t mind to much…there’s elements I liked but overall I wasn’t feeling it with the new Doctor…..and after all that it went completely down hill extremely down hill…..first sign of it going down hill was the Maisie Williams episodes then after Capaldi left is when all hell broke loose….I seriously don’t know what the people at BBC where thinking when hiring a guy who hates Doctor Who to direct Doctor Who…..thats like asking someone who hates star wars to film a star wars film…..Jesus lord so overall I’ll give Doctor Who as an overall a solid 7.9/10…….and thats a very positive 7.9 because as I said show went down hill like it plummeted right after Peter Capaldi but it also slightly plummeted during Peter Capaldi so there’s that

Season 1 Episode 10: The Doctor Dances

 The Doctor and Rose and Jack Harkness have to find a way to fix this mess and the mess is well the infection is spreading….what infection u may be asking? Well turns out the gas mask the kid is wearing isn’t a gas mask…it’s his face, for u see he was close to one of the bomb sites where he got badly damaged beyond repair but luckily Jack Harkness ship crashed landed near by thT had nano mites inside that heals up things but these nano mites never seen a human before all they see is this horrific mangled up boy wearing a gas mask, can’t tell where human flesh begins and ends so it tries patching the kid up and off it goes the issue is now it think it’s knows what a human looks like so it spreads around turning people into gas mask freaks asking for there mummy….because the boy was found saying are u my mummy….jeepers that’s creepy…..also heres a clip of our 3 characters encounter with the kid

Anyway our main characters finally find out that Nancy is the mother of the little boy so they have to convince her to tell that to the boy because it may help the situation because now almost everyone is a walking gas mask zombie and this won’t end…..also he points out to Harkness that his nano mites did this it’s his fault btw here’s that clip 

“The world is about to be torn apart by a innocent kid who’s looking for his mummy, and nothing in the world can stop it”

Anyway he tells Nancy to go and tell the boy shes his mother and he reprograms the nano mites think of it like a software update and he sends them off which heals everyone turning back to normal….yayyyyy so ehh 10/10

Season 1 Episode 13: The Parting of Ways

The first regeneration episode in the rebooted Era. Rose absorbed the time vortex. To force the TARDIS to return to the Doctor. She uses said Time vortex ( heart of the Tardis ) to destroy the Daleks. Shorty after he sends Rose back home in the Tardis here’s that clip:

Then the Doctor sucks it out of her. Causing the regeneration. Also Captain Jack dies fighting Daleks. When Rose uses vortex to get ride of Daleks. Uses it to bring back Captain Jack. He can’t die. Now he’s immortal also heres Christopher Eccleston regeneration

Season 2 Episode 12: Army of Ghost 

Firstly I wanna show yall the promo for this episode plz enjoy

            Before we can get into this episode. I feel that a brief explanation on Cybermen is required. In our universe the Cybermen came from the planet Mondas. That was in the first run of Doctor Who ( before the rebooted show). However, for the purpose of this explanation……We will be discussing Earth 2 cybermen. Long story short, earlier in season 2 of the rebooted series.  Mickey, Rose, and the Doctor end up on a parallel earth. In the Doctor Who universe: Every  choice you make, you make the opposite choice in another universe. Such as in this Earth 2 universe, Rose’s dad never died. All his ideas actually worked out and he became Rich. 

                   Anyway, on this earth there is a company that makes earbuds. These earbuds give you news and stuff. Well the dude who owns them. Uses them to mind control people later in this two episode adventure. Bring them to his factory. Turning them into Cybermen. Cybermen are basically human brains jammed into metal bodys. They have no emotion, reasoning, or compassion. Here  is a clip to give you a general of Earth-Two Cybermen:

Anyways, Continuing from the parallel ( earth 2 ) next appearance of earth 2 cybermen. First apperceive as ghosts to fool the humans. There is a mysterious orb in the basement of Torchwood…..also if ur wondering why this episode is called amry of ghosts? Well it’s because when they return to earth there’s well ghosts everywhere following people and it seems people have grown to appreciate them but it turns out these ghosts are cybermen but invisible there plan is to take over the world but unfortunately guess who also shows up? Uhhhh the Daleks…..but luckily for the Doctor he was found and taken in by Torchwood an organization created by queen Elizabeth that was created to hunt down monsters like the Doctor uh oh….so ehhh 9/10

Season 2 Episode 13: Doomsday

Orb full of Daleks. Daleks and cybermen are too egotistical to join forces. Doctor sucks them into the center of time. Think purgatory, but in the center of every parallel universe and ours. Rose almost gets sucked in. But she is saved by earth two version of her dad. Who never died. On our earth, Rose’s dad got hit by a car and died…..this episode had me in tears because it’s Rose Tyler’s last time with the Doctor for now…..she gets sucked into a different dimension separated from the Doctor of course both of them are devastated here’s the clip 

Sniff sniff I think I’m gonna cry…..so anyways the Doctor decides to use his Tardis to use a hologram to make himself visible on a beach in her universe she got sucked into God this is emotional, so the Doctor and Rose have trouble saying there goodbyes…..the Doctor says he only has 2 min he won’t be able to stay long….God this is emotional also heres the clip 

“Rose Tyler I l-“

He tells her she’s officially dead on there planet many people died during the incident and she’s labeled as dead….she asks if she will ever see him again? He says u can’t ever again……..guys I think I’m gonna cry……don’t look now plz look away lolo sniff sniff…..then she tells him that she loves him but as soon as he’s about to say I love u the communication ends and he vanishes…..leaving both her and him in tears good grief well that’s the end of Rose Tyler now onto season 3….10/10

Season 3 Episode 10: Blink

“Don’t Blink, whatever u do don’t Blink” also wibbly wobbly timey whimey describes up this episode…..basically both the 10th Doctor and uhhh his companion named Martha are trapped somewhere in the past where a random woman who’s being hunted down by wheeping angles who look like statues btw…and she has to send the The Tardis back in time to the doctor to help him….8.8/10

Season 3 Episode 11: Utopia 

So In this episode our three main characters Jack Harkness and 10th Doctor and Martha go onto a planet that’s veing over run by cannibals…..anyways the 3 of them findir way into a station where they meet a guy named Professor Yana……ohhhhhh this is important because theng way into a station where they meet a guy named Professor Yana……ohhhhhh this is important because the Face of Boe tells the doctor You Are Not Alone…. (season 3 episode 4 Gridlock)…..keep that in mind for later…..so the group including Yana’s talks to Yana which he reveals he has a pocket watch thattor that Yana has the same watch and both the Doctor and Martha realize wait ….You Are Not Alone……as in Yana, ohhhhhhhh and we see Yana open up the watch getting his memories back but turns out he ain’t a professor no he’s a time Lord named the Master….here’s that clip

Dun dunnn dunn dunnn dunnn dunnn dunn…..which then he takes the TARDIS and regenerates then heads back in time to the 21st century where he becomes Prime Minister. But more on that in next episode……that was a roller coaster 9.9/10

Season 3 Episode 12: The Sound of Drums

Here’s a little brief back story of The Master…….The Master and The Doctor used to be childhood friends…they were close to each other….but one day the time Lord’s took him away, and put him through an initiation which is them having him look through a time vortex, which makes him go mad….reason they did this is to put a link in him. To let the time Lord’s come back in present-day…..yeah a bunch of Wibbly wobbly timey whimey

In this episode the Doctor and his companions have to try to stop the Master who is the prime minister….from taking over the world…..his plan is to use these orbs to help destroy the world oh and he wants to destroy the doctor, btw side note the Master hears the beats of Drums in his head, ok that’s eerie……anyways the episode ends with the Doctor being aged all the way to old age by the Master then he holds the doctor captive…….oh and Martha gets sent away which she goes and recruits people to help the Doctor ohhhh and the Master releases the orbs everywhere so uh things looks looking diar 8/10

Season 3 Episode 13: The Last of The Time Lord’s 

Master is the Doctors childhood friend. Went insane, after looking into the time vortex as a child….also The Masters first apprentice in rebooted series. Doctor, Martha, and Captain Jack find the Master at the end time. Hiding as a human. Via Fob watch. Anyway he opens fob watch, and the Essence of the master brings back the Master. He gets shot by his assistant, while he is steeling the Tardis. Regenerates and escapes back to the early 2000s. 2006 roughly. Anyway Master runs for Prime Minister of Britain. He wins the election. Takes over earth. Martha seeks around for a year. One word revese at the exact same time. Word is Doctor. Reverse the Masters take over. Master gets shot by his Human wife. Then the master dies here’s the clip 

So anyways the Doctor tries asking him to regenerate but he refuses to because he says so what? I can be trapped in ur Tardis forever? No way…….so he dies and the Doctor burns his body like an honorable person…..9/10

Season 4 Episode 9: Silence in the Library

Here’s what a human looks like after the Vashta Nerada deals with them

“Hey who turned out the lights?”

This is the Doctors ( David Tennant) and the addences introduction to River Song. She is a key character to the Matt Smith Doctors era.

During this adventure we get introduced to the term Spoilers. River Song uses it a lot. Because she and the Doctor always meet out of order. Makes it hard to keep track. Although millions of Doctor Who fans can do it. So can you. I will not say more here…… On the subject of River Song. May say more on her later ( or not). 

The Doctor gets a message on his psychic paper. (That’s a wallet with a blank piece of paper inside. Shows people whatever they need to see. Kind of like an all purpose fake ID. It also receives messages). Anyway, so the Doctor and Donna go to this library planet in the 51st century. Only problem is there is no one in the library. After receiving a message to run. The Doctor and Donna are chased into a room. Moments later, an Archeology crew arrives (51st century crew). Led by River Song. She has a Tardis blue diary. She sent the message to the Doctor’s psychic paper. And knows a lot about the Doctor. The message was supposed to go to Matt Smiths or Peter Capaldies Doctor.  But it arrived too early.

The villain in this adventure is Vashta Nerada. They are a flesh eating swarm made of shadows. They exist on every planet. Typically in small groups. Feasting on road kill. These swarms live in the woods. Since the books are made of trees. Bring the swarm in small unseen spores. The library Archeologist team is here to find out why the library customers disappeared 100 years before this adventure takes place. After some investigating and running. The Doctor decides to send Donna back to the Tardis. To be safe. Via the teleport in the gift shop.( Also the Tardis only allows teleports into her. That she recognizes). Donna vanishes into the moon mid materialization into the Tardis. End of episode. 10/10. 

Season 4 Episode 10: Forest of the Dead

Continuing where the last episode left off……Donna is now in the artificial Moon in the sky. Meanwhile the Doctor, River Song and the other people from the Archaeology crew are running for their lives. Well it’s more run, while they figure out how to beat the Vashta Nerada ( which translates to The Shadows that eat flesh). The Vashta Nerada have figured out how to use the bodys of the Archaeologists they have killed…..and turn them into puppets. So slow moving shadow swarm in a space suit of sorts. They even learn to speak. Eventually the Doctor makes a deal with them. Allow the people who were uploaded to the fake Moon hard drive 100 years ago. To be brought back and be teleported away from the library. Then leave the library planet to the Vashta Nerada. River Song sacrifices herself to bring back the people who were uploaded to the moon 100 years ago. The Doctor and Donna leave for more adventures in the Tardis. But before that, the Doctor uploads River Song to the moon drive. ( The Doctor left a data stamp of her in a sonic he gave her. Well Peter Capaldi’s Doctor. In the Christmas special The Husband of River Song). Anyway that’s how he uploaded her. Episode 10/10.

Season 4 Episode 12: The Stolen Earth 

Rose returns to our earth when the earth has been stolen and been taken to another part of the Galaxy……way u can tell is because everyone is seeing multiple other planets hovering over there planet well uh oh……anyways in this 2 parter our team do get contacted by a woman named Harriet Jones….here’s the clip
