Halloween 2 1981: firstly let’s start with the trailers shall we?

So uhhhhh I’m gonna get this out of the way but I wasn’t a fan of this sequel at all…..funny thing while I am writing this I remembered a friend of mine had me watch this film with him, he told me it was great……spoiler alert it ain’t….yes I know I might be pissing off some fans but hey its my opinion….so let’s get into the review shall we?

So in this film, we pick up right after the end of Halloween 1, kinda like how Halloween Kills picks up right after the end of Halloween 2018….I like that nod and reference…..

Also que opening theme right after Loomis sees a teenager and he tells the teenager to go back inside….the kid says he’s been trick or treating all night to death and Loomis says u don’t know the meaning of death….then he runs off

Anyways we see from this first person view of Michael Myers standing behind a house looking at Dr. Loomis run up to a cop car and oh boy we get some weird dialog

Dr. Loomis: I shot him 6 times!!

Cop: calm down he must have not survived

Dr. Loomis: no he did I saw him!

Cop: Let’s go find him he couldn’t have gotten to far

Dr. Loomis: I shot him 6 times!!

Yeah just so you know I didn’t repeat that dialog, the film had Dr. Loomis say that line again while he’s running to the other side of the car to get into the car….why did they have to dub him saying I shot him 6 times!! For the second time? Is beyond me

So anyways Laurie Strode is being taken away in an ambulance to the hospital where she’ll now spend the next 98% of the movie in……no I wish that I was kidding, and Loomis and Sheriff Brackett are searching for Michael Myers…..they do end up finding who they consider to be Michael Myers……notice how I say they consider, because as soon as they notice him a cop car rams into him which causes an explosion……ok what was with 1900s cars? Why were they always so flammable that they would instantly explode on impact? I don’t think that’s how cars even work…

Oh and turns out it’s not Michael Myers it was just a teen dressed up as Michael Myers for some reason….also how does this make any sense, how’s there a Michael Myers costume? When he only escaped from the mental institute 2 days ago in this previous timeline and he so happened to find a towtruck guy steel his jumpsuit oh and rob a convenient store for the mask he ended up taking so once again how’s they’re a Michael Myers costume? How would anyone know he took a tow truck guy’s suit? Oh right because the script says so…. that’s why…

So then Sheriff Bracket gets called back home because his daughter was killed….so he gets there, he’s devastated which is understandable….what isn’t understandable is he blames Dr. Loomis, so he leaves Loomis and another cop joins Loomis on his quest…

So now time for Laurie she’s all loopy and knocked out from drugs they’ve been giving her to ease her pain…..yeah understandable they stitched her up and all that, also there’s one thing that hinders me from liking this film it’s that this entire hospital only has the staff of 3 to 4 people….wow that’s just wow, talk about being understaffed, this just kills the immersion for me….4 staff members at a hospital? Yeah get the hell out of here…..2 of them being guys and the 2 others being girls, well talk about an evenly split group….

So now hope u all enjoy a hospital as a scenery because we spend here the next uhhhh rest of this movie……so eventually Michael Myers comes to the hospital and starts killing off the short staff members off 1 by one……he does kill a guy and girl who are having kissy time in a hot tub, no idk why these 2 got nude and went into a hot tub in a hospital….also why’s there a hot tub in a hospital? Anyways the guy gets out of the tub then Michael Myers kills the guy behind the door while the girl isn’t looking….no idk why she couldn’t hear him screaming, it’s horror movie logic….oh well I can look past that but what I cannot look past is that Michael Myers walks in the room behind the woman and she mistakens him as her boyfriend and he places his adm on her shoulder for some reason, and she starts kissing his hand….

Sighhhh ok I get it she’s drunk I do get it and she’s probably high on sex but how do u mistaken someone who’s taller than ur boyfriend as ur boyfriend….oh oh and get this his hand looks different then her boyfriends  and probably smells maybe tastes of blood and dirt……so how again did she mistaken this rando killer as her boyfriend? Sighhhh moving on he then kills her brutally by shoving her head into the tub which boils her to death…..ohhhhhhh dang sick

Also he kills another person off screen…..because later one of the guy nurses finds a room with one of his dead colleagues on the bed, with blood all over the floor….on his way out he slips on the blood…ooofff might wanna go get that checked out maybe u have now a concussion…anyways he goes outside into a car and all a sudden falls unconscious on the wheel…yep told u…

Anyways a random woman comes and finds Loomis…tells him his institution is wanting Loomis back so he has to go with her….so he does

In the car, she tells Loomis that Laurie Strode is Michael Myers sister……dunnn dunnnn dunnnnn, so Loomis plans to head to the hospital where Laurie is to go save her…the woman agrees so they head to the hospital to save Laurie……anyways unfortunately for Laurie uhhh Michael Myers has made his way into the hospital and been killing off the short staff mememebrs, and now is after her to finish the job…..so Laurie knows Michael is here so she tries to head off and run and hide, all while Michael Myers enters her room and mistakens a pillow under the bed as her….for some reason, sighhhh oh don’t worry he only falls for this same trick again in Halloween Resurrection….is Michael Myers just dumb?

Anyways so he stafts chasing her, well I say chasing but I mean more like he is walking slowly…..anyways Laurie ends up making her way outside but whats this Dr. Loomis shows up and they run inside, she starts trying to scream for help but her vocal cords are slightly irritated so she’s talking faintly she can’t scream they can’t hear her uhhh ohh that’s not good…..

But then Laurie runs back into the building where Loomis and the cop that came with them sees her, they help her up and they see Michael Myers walking towards them from the outside….he just bursts through the glass door like he’s the freaking T-100 or something…..Anyways the cop shoots Michael Myers then he falls onto the floor and for some reason the cop believes Michael Myers is dead so he goes onto the floor puts his gun away and puts his head near his body….臘

So to no one’s shocker, no Michael Myers isn’t dead….in fact he gets up and snaps the cop’s neck, wow who could have seen that coming….oh wait anyone with common sense could see that coming….so anyways Dr. Loomis and Laurie run the opposite direction while Michael Myers kills the other psychiatrist woman…….so Michael Myer’s corners Laurie and Loomis into a room filled with propane tanks…..so take a guess how this is all gonna go down?

Well Dr. Loomis starts shooting Michael but then Michael stabs Loomis so he falls to the ground dead? Then Laurie takes the gun then shoots Michael Myers In both his eyes causing him to go blind…..but that does nothing to him besides he’s the boogeyman, he don’t need to sight….

Anyways then Loomis gets up yayyy then Laurie runs out of the room…..then Loomis shoots one of the tanks setting that room ablaze, wow who could have seen that coming? Anyways Michael Myers walks out with flames covering his body….he walks out then he falls onto the ground dead….yayy day is saved but Loomis is dead I believe….

So uhhh happy ending, Michael Myers is dead and Laurie escaped….also we get a weird song that plays at the end

Mr. Sandman, bring me ur dream…make him the cutest u have ever seen

Yeah I don’t know what this song has to do with a Halloween movie at all….but eh still……overall uhhhhh I wasn’t a fan of this film, I mean neither was John Carpenter himself, he didn’t even want to make this movie but the studios demanded a sequel……but he was obligated to, even though he didn’t want to…..so I’ll give John Carpenter’s Halloween 2 a solid 3/10….honestly if u want a better sequel to John Carpenter’s Halloween movie go watch Halloween 2018
