Halloween John Carpenter: yes that’s right I’m taking us all back to the very classic John Carpenter’s Halloween movie…..since I reviewed the entirety of the David Gordon Greens Halloween Trilogy why not talk about the original that started it all? Without further a due here’s the trailer

Huh funny I’ve just realized something we’ve now had 3 different directors make Halloween films….we first had John Carpenter, then Rob Zombie, and finally David Gordon Green…..

So where do I begin well we first start off showing us a young boy Michael Myers in first person view entering the kitchen stabbing a random guy with a kitchen knife, then he goes upstairs into his older sisters room then repeatedly stabs her while she’s naked…..dunn dunn dunn, then he goes downstairs walks outside where he parents come back and ask him what the hell?…..yeah what the hell Indeed…also heres the iconic opening theme to this beloved classic

Anyways now to modern day in 1978 uhhh Michael Myers has escaped from the insane asylum, for u see his parents and the cops left him there…hey good on them, but unfortunately he’s escaped…here’s something confusing he takes a car and drives? Wait when did he learn to drive? He was just a kid when he was taken away to the insane asylum….huh? So now his therapist named Dr. Loomis played by the late Donald Pleasence has to go after Michael Myers and kill him…..wait whats that yall confused on why his own therapist wants to kill Michael Myers?

Well for u see apparently he’s come to the conclusion there’s no changing Michael Myers, he’s the shape of pure evil….he’s tried to but it hasn’t succeeded, so now he’s changed his way to wanting to kill Michael Myers…..funny thing Halloween 2018 expanded on this idea and basically introduced a little idea that apparently if u stare to long into Michael Myers eyes too long u loose ur sanity….I think that’s an interesting aspect….

So Dr. Loomis heads out to go find Michael Myers, btw if yall are wondering where Michael Myers got his jumpsuit? Well on Dr. Loomis way to Haden Field he finds an abandoned truck where it’s empty and off in the corner in the bushes we see a naked dead body…..ohhhhh, so anyways before more of Michael let’s get to our main character Laurie Strode played by Jamie Lee Curtis……

She’s in class and during a lecture, she looks out the side the window and sees Michael Myers standing outside…but she double looks and he vanishes…..huh now I understand that reference in Halloween 2018….

Anyways she has to babysit a boy on Halloween night, but first she has to do a favor for the mother of the boy she’s about to babysit, she has to drop a key off at the Myers home……unfortunately Michael Myers is I the house, luckily though he’s just standing upstairs looking at them…..enough of that time for Laurie and her friends to ride in a car while smoking weed….while listening to and yall probably gonna get a chuckle out of this if yall read my Halloween Ends review but they’re listening to don’t fear the reaper…..

All our times have come!! Lolo I swear I cannot get away from this song….it just keeps popping up in films and shows I am now watching…..anyways they drive past this store that’s been robbed, where the cops are at…..they so happen to see a cop named sheriff Brackett, where he tells the girls everything is OK it was just a small simple robbery…..that a mask was stolen from there…..dunnn dunn dunn

Anyways moving on we get to see the boy who Laurie is gonna babysit his name is Tommy Doyle and at the moment he’s at school being picked on by bullies……anyways after the bullies run off on of them runs into this guy in overalls…..it’s Michael Myers btw, and u would think he would kill the kid right there and then….but nope instead he grabs the kids shoulder prevents him from falling as if he’s saying woah be careful kid watch where u going, then he let’s go of the kid and just stands there then starts watching Tommy Doyle….

Anyways Dr. Loomis finds his way to the cop station and finds sheriff Brackett….he recruits him to help go find his patient Michael Myers before he kills….at first Brackett doesn’t believe him fully but he also doesn’t ignore him so he goes with him just in case his story holds up and he’s telling the truth…..so they head out, to investigate….so off to the Myers house it is then lolo

Anyways Halloween night comes up and Laurie is babysitting Tommy Doyle, they’re both watching a movie together oh and one of Laurie’s friends names Anne is babysitting a girl named Lindsey Wallace……why’s that important u may ask? Well get to that later, for now another of Laurie’s friends is having sex with her boyfriend who’s wearing a ghost sheet as a costume…. in the Myers house….because u know that’s just such the best place to have sex, at a deranged murderer’s house….what can possibly go wrong?

Well glad yall asked for u see he tries to go downstairs to grab a drink but whats this? It’s so happen that Michael Myers is there which he takes the sheet off the guy and pushes the guy to the wall then stabs him through the chest which miraculously he just dangles there hanging from the wall…..yeah try making sense of how a knife to the stomach can hold u in place like that?

Anyway he appears at the bedroom door dressed with the sheet on and glasses, the girl mistakes him for her boyfriend and comes up to him so he attacks and kills her…….so remember that friend who’s babysitting Lindsey? Well she ends up being killed as well….yeah Michael Myers Is at it this Halloween….and he ain’t planning on stopping, anyways back to Dr. Loomis guess what they find at Michael Myers home? A half-eaten dead dog yeah turns out that’s how he is surviving….he ate a dog, oh jeez…..he really is evil……

So anyway Michael Myers ends up making it to the house Laurie Strode is at, once she and Tommy notice Myers he tries to attack them, so they run over to the house Lindsey is at, where to no shocker she finds her friend dead so they take Lindsey with them….but Myers has caught up

So they run to the Myers house where guess what they find in one of the bedrooms? Uhhh Laurie’s dead friend laid on the bed with Michael Myers sisters tombstone on the bed behind her….huh, so Michael Myer’s is into dioramas? Maybe he should get a Hobby in doing art….lololo

Anyways Laurie hides the 2 kids away while she runs away from Michael Myers, where she ends up hiding in a closet in a second-floor bedroom 臘, so she hides in the closet but Michael Myers breaks into the closet door….wow what a surprise who could have seen that coming, but here’s something I don’t think none of us saw coming, Laurie Strode actually fights back….she grabs a coat hanger and twists it out then stabs Michael Myers in the left eyeball I think which causes him to go blind in that eye…..woo-hoooooooo

Anyways he falls on his back which Laurie exists the room and turns her back onto him 臘….to no one’s surprise Michael Myers starts sitting up because no he ain’t dead wow who could have saw that coming…..so anyways she notices he’s getting up, then he grabs ahold of Laurie then Loomis comes up in the room aiming a gun, then Laurie get this knocks Michael Myers mask off of him with barley any inconvenience….huh, I thought his mask is supposed to be hard to take off his face….not easy to the point where u can just brush ur hand across his mask and it comes off….

Oh also he slices Laurie across her arm with a knife…..

So we get to see Michael Myers face…..OK I gotta say I hate that we see his face, because ur not supposed to see his face….it makes him look less menacing, so seeing his face full view on screen just ehhhhhhh……so he puts back on his mask which then Dr. Loomis starts shooting him, why didn’t he shoot him before he put his mask back on? Is beyond me…..never let Michael Myers aka the Shape put his mask on…..it’s what gives him his powers or something like that….anyways Dr. Loomis shoots Michael Myers 6 times!!

So then Michael Myers falls out the 2nd floor balcony onto the outside grass…..afterwards Loomis looks outside and sees Michael Myers laying on the grass….then Dr. Loomis looks back at Laurie who’s crying then he looks back outside and Michael Myers body has vanished dunn dunn dunnnn……and that’s how the film ends….on a bittersweet note, Laurie is still alive but injured, the 2 kids are alive but mentally scared….Dr. Loomis is there, but unfortunately Michael Myers has escaped….and won’t be seen again until Halloween 2018 which is 50 years later….yes I know there were other Halloween movies, but Halloween 2018 obliterated those films they’re no longer cannon…..so I ain’t counting those other films…

Anyways the end, well firstly gotta say I absolutely love this movie its a timeless classic….and there’s a good reason why it’s considered a classic…..it’s a really good horror movie, heck I’ve made a new tradition since 2 years ago, on every Halloween night to pop on in this John Carpenter’s Halloween 1978 film…..it just fits and works, plus what else would I watch on Halloween night heh……The Grinch? Hell nope…Besides I already wrote reviews on those films last Christmas….so lolo

There’s a reason why Michael Myers to this day is seen as an iconic horror character….heck he’s my all-time favorite horror movie Slasher…..and to this day he’s become everyone’s favorite, so I’ll give John Carpenter’s Halloween movie a solid 10/10….I highly recommend it, especially during the spooky season…..well anyways I hope yall enjoy this read ans plz have a happy Halloween 
