Saw X: Let’s start off with the trailer shall we?

That’s right this is the 10th installment in this franchise…..why has this series gone on this long? No idea, but here’s one unique thing about this film it takes place after Saw 1 and before Saw 2….yeah ain’t that something….so is this movie good or bad? Well let’s get into that shall we

So this film will make you feel bad for John Kramer that’s for sure, heck I felt awful for him…..here’s why, John Kramer has gone through tons of chemotherapy for his brain cancer, and it ain’t working…he joins a group recovery session that is a group of cancer patients…..makes sense why he’d join, anyways one day while he’s just walking around the hospital he sees a janitor stealing a coma guys belongings in a hospital room….wow what a charmer, so since he sees this happening and he sees the coma guy has wires holding up his fingers…..he gets an idea of how to torture the janitor…..we then cut to the janitor waking up tied to a chair with one his hands tied down with a mechanism holding his fingers also he has 2 tubes sticking out of a face mask that surrounding his eyes, ohhhhh that’s attached to a vacuum…..

Yeah take 2 guesses what this trap will do? Easy he has the option to twist the dial with the other hand to cause it to bend all 5 of his fingers individually, or let the vacuum suck out his eyes….also he has 3 min, the choice is his…..yikes, so then the guy turns the dials, his fingers get bent it hurts but he runs out of time so the vacuum sucks out his eyeballs……yes it’s as bad as it sounds….but turns out it was just a dream, he imagined it up…..so then the janitor notices that he saw him so he put the stuff back and walks out and Mr. Kramer says good choice…..lolo, oh yeah this film has comedy in it……which is a weird thing to say but surprisingly it works in this film besides John Kramer doesn’t go around being a jokester…..there’s just comedy well placed in this film….

So one day one of his cancer recovery session friends named Henrey sees John sitting outside having coffee, he comes up to him after John says hi, and he tells John he’s been cured…he had stage 4 cancer then he showed him the giant scar on his stomach showing where he was cut open, he says the method is unorthodox it requires surgery then some sort of medication, it’s a medical blend sort of speaks….John Kramer asks if this practice is available out here which he says no, it’s not approved…last I went and saw them they were in Germany, they move around….here’s there website it’s still active….

So that night Kramer goes on Google oh wait sorry I meant word search….u know that movie equivalent of Google, where he does research on the company….he finds out this Dr. woman named Cecilia is the daughter of this Dr. guy who’s been doing research on curing all cancer….she decided to take his research and take it around everywhere to cure more then 1 town folk of people where her father works at…she wants to help, so Mr. Kramer sends her an email saying he’s very interested…..she gets back to him via call the next day tells him they’re in Mexico, they will get a taxi driver to drive him to the place when he gets there….

So he heads out to Mexico as a hopeful cancer patient….oh Jesus this is already starting to feel rough this can only end horribly, Anyway he gets there the taxi is waiting for him, and the driver drives him to the location where this van pulls up with these 2 masked guys come running out aiming guns at Kramer they ask him who he is, he tells them who he is and they take him to the location he’s supposed to be at…..apparently there the guards that are protecting the place…..

So he gets there and some woman named Gabriella opens the door and shows him to his room he’ll be staying at…..he gets comfortable, he then goes outside to talk to Cecilia, where she tells him welcome on in then she takes him to show him around the place…..she shows him to the maintenance guys son who’s just playing soccer by himself, how sad….then she takes him to the room where he will have the surgery in….it’s in a giant glass square container we’re he’ll have the surgery in….inside he meets a surgeon named Mateo, he also meets a woman named Valentina, he also catches a guy named Parker sears who’s a cancer patient….he was just cured, he had surgery on the neck….he wishes John Kramer luck….

Also I do like the sense of comedy in this film, while Cecilia is talking to Kramer while sitting down she asks if he has a hobby? He says I help people appreciate life….and Cecilia says so ur a motivational speaker? He says yeah something like that……lolo, Also Gabriella comes and offers Kramer a bottle of wine, to bad he can’t drink any before surgery…..but it’s the thought that counts….

So then they take x-rays of his brain then take some blood samples to get him ready for the surgery tomorrow….so he goes to sleep for the night where during the night he hears something, he goes and investigates the noise, it’s that boy hammering his bike wheel into place it got dented so John Kramer decides to take the wheel into the garage to fix it for the kid….he also finds out the kid doesn’t know English where Kramer says eh don’t worry that’s my experience of knowing Spanish…..so I guess they’re in the same u boat…anyways he does learn what the word pull means in Spanish….the word is jalar, yes he learned a Spanish word, yes he did just bond with a kid…yes this film is making John Kramer sympathetic, also yes he does fix the kids bike for him….that’s generous also I forget to mention he does make friends with Gabriella…..ughhhh the feels because I know what’s coming

So the next day comes when they prep him for surgery, and they tell him he will be in and out during his surgery, which will be important so they can make sure things are going ok…..anyways he wakes up with a bandage wrapped around his head, Cecilia tells him to take this specific liquid 2wice a day for the new week and he will be all good….he can now have his life back….ughhh…he tells her ill pay u the other half of the money tomorrow, again ughhhhh straight in the feels

Also we see him at the park sketching a trap in a notebook but then he rips out the paper and crumbles it tosses it away….implying he might wanna give up on torturing people, like hey I’m cured I have a new appreciation for life…he might wanna become a nice person…..ughhhhhhhh again hits me in the feels because we unfortunately know what’s gonna come

So he’s all happy, and goes buys his new friend Gabriella a bottle of wine, he then gets a ride back to the place just to find it abandoned…..ohhhhhh, he goes back to his surgery room it’s all empty but they left the computers and all that, so he turns on the computer and he sees a book on the table that says become a surgeon of tomorrow…..ohhh this isn’t good, he watches a video on it and realizes its a training video on how to do surgery or fake it….so he takes the bandage off his head, realizes they didn’t cut into his head…..so he’s pissed understandably..

His first victim he kidnaps is the taxi driver because he found out the taxi driver was in on it….I really liked this scene because Kramer enters the taxi the guy asks where to? And he says to hell….then knocks the guy out, he wakes up in an abandoned place with 2 pipe bombs attached into his skin on his arms yeeeez, take a guess what he has to do? Easy he has 3 min to use the 2 blades taped to his hands to cut out the pipe bombs issue is its attached to his muscles so uhhh yeah I won’t get any more into details than that…but he does make it free and Kramer gives him a med kit

So now he calls up a favor from a detective to hunt down these con artists he also calls up one of his apprentices, take a guess who it is? It’s Amanda, she goes and hunts down each con artist….while dressed in the iconic pig mask and black trench coat….

She hunts down Mateo who’s working at a pet shelter, she knocks him out with a electric staff…she also locates Gabriella shortly after because she just showed up getting drugs from Mateo….yeah he’s her drug dealer, oh joy…..Miranda hunts down Gabriella to a raid, where she enters a restroom…..she knocks her out by slaming a bathroom door to her face then sprays her face with peper spary that she was holding to defend herself…..then afterwards she hunts down Valentina who’s about to get raped by a guy who offers her a ride home…luckily or unluckily Miranda shows up knocks the guy out then kidnaps Valentina….

Then lastly she hunts down Cecilia who’s at her rich A$$ mansion where we see she’s running away…she’s putting in the money she’s conned out of people into a duffle bag……we see a wall of her victims we see that Kramer paid her 250k dollars, Jesus lord yeah I’d be upset as well…..so Amanda sneaks into the house but Cecilia gets into her car to escape but Amanda is outside standing in front of the car, then Kramer pops up behind Cecilia and knocks her out….ohhh snap

So they all wake up in an abandoned room chained up, he comes down to them showing his disdain for each of them…..he has Valentina tied to the first trap, for u see each one of them will individually be put in their own trap, but first Valentina….she’s tied up to a mechanism that has a sharp wire that will move closer and closer to her neck to decapitate her….but she has a choice, to cut off her leg with a wire saw he gives her, then use the vacuum to suck out 250 ounces of ur blood into that machine which will save u……oh christ….

Gabriella tries to plead with him he says I really want to believe u Gabriella if that is ur name…Mateo tries to scream for help but he says ur not even Mateo because I found out there’s no Mateo he doesn’t exist…..then he points out how shitty they are for scamming cancer patients out of their money, he then pulls up a paper listing 34 patients they’ve conned he said how many of these people died because of ur con? Huh? How many did u scam, how many of them had to leave there kids behind who are now orphans….do Cecilia says this isn’t right plz let them go, which Kramer says this isn’t right? I’m not taking moral lessons from u…….ohhhhh snap

So let’s get through each trap as fast as possible so Valentina clock of 3 min start she hesitantly cuts her leg off after her friends motivate her too she then uses the vacuum but it doesn’t suck the blood out in time so the machine decapitate her so now there’s a body on the floor and a severed head and leg…..ewww…

While Kramer and Miranda are sitting upstairs in the panel room, our 3 con artists try to grab the phone that was left on the small table that has wheels but they need a rope, so uhhh disgusting moment, Cecilia takes a knife and goes over cuts open Valentinas stomach and grabs her guts and says we now have a rope……🤢, so they wrap the guts around the table to yank it towards Cecilia she grabs the phone is able to contact someone but Amanda comes down and zaps the phone knocking it out of her hands ohhh….then John Kramer comes on down which Cecilia says I was just trying to call my dad he can definitely still save u…which he says is that what ur really worried about right now?

Before we get to player 2 uhhh the cancer patient named Parker shows up to the warehouse holding a gun asking for his money back…he sneaks in finds a person wearing a pig mask he shoots the person it falls over it was just a stand with the decapitated head of Valentina under the mask….yikes, then Amanda shows up knocks the guy out he wakes up tied up in the panel room, Kramer asks him to play a game but follow the rules and that means no guns so he takes the gun and places it into the locker behind them, he shows him the camera of Cecilia and Gabriella….he says my God u guys are sick, and Kramer says no they are….

So now that there’s a tied up guy forced to watch this, Miranda goes down to prep player 2

So she prep the next guy for his trap and who’s next yall must be wondering? Well it’s Mateo, he gets tied to a chair that has these 2 electric cage like things on the side of his head and an electrical headpiece around his head to shock him, then comes in Billie The Puppet ridding his tricycle which is caring a table with medical things on it…..there’s a play me tape recorder, he doesn’t want to play it but the machine zaps him so he plays it…..and guess what the game is? Either let himself die or to take that bone cuter, and cut the scalp where they cut his hair open to take a piece of his brain out and put it in the acid container which will make it dissolve and free him…….ewwww, so after what a min of panicking and his friends convincing him, he does it he takes the bone cutter cuts his scalp off takes a piece of his brain out of him and places it into the acid container but it doesn’t dissolve in time so the machine kills him….how u may ask? Well the 2 electric cage like things on each side of his head close up into a Mexican Statue mask, and it fries him to death….thats player 2 dead…

After that Kramer and Amanda do have a moment on the couch she says what if Cecilia’s father can help you? Kramer tells her the truth is I’m dying I am dying…u got this u r ready to take on my legacy, she doesn’t want him to die….understandable, she starts crying and hugs him, and he sheds a tear as well…all while Parker is watching, anyways Kramer frees Parker but he has to still watch the game play out…

So now it’s Gabriella’s turn, so Billie The Puppet is right near her with a play me tape recorder around his neck…she says I don’t wanna play that, but then she grabs it and plays it, and after Kramer voice says hello I wanna play a game…she says nope nope I don’t wanna and she tosses the tape recorder away and Kramer talks through the speaker saying that’s not gonna help u…then he starts levitating her up in the air by one arm and one leg, she’s not dangling up in the air with a hammer in front of her and a radiation machine…he says I don’t think I need to tell u how dangerous radiation machines are, so listen to me closely and maybe u will make it out alive

So he tells her to break her ankle and wrist to save herself or let the radiation kill her, she says she can’t and he says bones can heal…u can get a skin graph as well….so Cecilia gives her motivation she tells her to destroy the leg first so she’ll swing away from the machine, so she breaks her leg and swings away she says yes yes I did it! And I love this moment…both Kramer and Amanda look at each other with a deadpan look and he pulls a lever that moves the radiation machine to her….lolo, so now she has to break her wrist so she does but her face gets burnt and she falls onto the floor…..yayy she survived so now Kramer and Amanda try to head down there to call her an ambulance because she deserves to live but uh oh Parker grabs his gun and aims it at them he tells them go down there and free Cecilia….turns out he’s working for Cecilia to the point they’re dating, plot twist

So they head down there and Cecilia and Parker kiss them they free her, she then has Kramer put on the chain around his neck and lock himself in it and his wrists as well…..so he does so, and they also force Amanda to chain herself to the wall so she does…..Jesus if u didn’t already hate this con artists lady well I think u will, because Kramer tells her they need to call the ambulance to get help for Gabriella she deserves to live then Cecilia says does she now then she takes her foot places it on Gabriella neck and stomps on her neck and then says I don’t think she’s gonna make it…..

Ok yeah she’s a monster she doesn’t care about her so called friends, heck she said u wanna know what I felt when I saw them die? Well that’s one less amount of money I need to share…..yeah what a cold heartless woman she Is, now yall are seeing why it’s easy to sympathize with John Kramer in this film right? Anyways they then hear a noise outside and see the small boy playing soccer outside kicking the ball against the warehouse door….then Cecilia comes up with a horrible cold idea, she wants to torture someone innocent so she goes grabs the kid brings him inside chains him up to the same trap John Kramer is trapped in…..this trap requires 2 people, specifically 2 people laying on 2 separate sides of the table….u will see why…

Also I love how this movie humanized Amanda, she actually cared for Gabriella she understood she was a drug addict which Amanda was as well….hence why she kept telling Kramer save her trap for last, u can see Amanda cares about her…so it makes it a whole lot more harder when Gabriella dies….also this film does an amazing job the fact that we start siding with Kramer when he says we need to get her to a hospital she deserves to live….we’re like yes u go Kramer she does deserve to live….wait a min weren’t u the one who put her in this trap? That really shows u how well planned out this film was the fact the film makes u side with Kramer who’s a sadistic torture killer

Anyway Cecilia reveals she knew who John Kramer was, aa soon as she found out he was the Jigsaw killer she just had to jump at the opportunity to con him and defeat the great John Kramer…..so she was 10 steps ahead of him…she asks so how did I beat the legendary John Kramer? Am I just that good? Which he says don’t flatter urself, I just mistrust the situation that’s all…..then John Kramer tells Parker she’s gonna kill u….u know? Shell burn u eventually, which unfortunately Parker and Cecilia don’t listen to him…..oh they should have listened….

She then says to John Kramer come on tell the boy the rules of the game, use ur creepy voice “I wanna play a game” which Kramer says no this isn’t right he’s not apart of this….which Cecilia gives 2 shites about because she’s cold hearted….can someone plz kill her?

So then they start the game up which causes the table to levitate up a bit and there are these 2 levers with 2 pipes over their faces, one person pulls the lever to tilt them towards the pipe which then pools of blood come pouring out of it which will cause the person to drown….it’s like waterboarding but instead it’s blood boarding, as Cecilia says…then the boy notices Kramer sacrificing himself for the boy, also he told the boy to no jalar, as in don’t pull….but the boy pulls his lever to let himself drown to save John Kramer but then John says no and pulls the lever causing him to start drowning, then Amanda screams stop it, ur killing him….which Cecilia says John u can live all u have to do is let the kid die…

Jesus this woman is getting annoying, now we can add attempted child murder to her list of heinous crimes….so then they both go run upstairs to get the duffle bag of money, while they’re up there Parker and her kiss he says I will always die for u…..then he comes to the realization that wait if u were the last person left then why did that trap require 2 people? Uhhhh. Then Cecilia shrugs it off grabs the duffle bag and there’s a timer behind the bag which has 10 min on it, and it starts counting down…..yess yess woahh wooahh hoo, also we hear the iconic Saw theme

Then the door closes and locks, then a voice comes over the radio saying basically I was 10 steps ahead of u….which they ask how did u know Parker was gonna betray yall? Which he said easy I got information from the taxi driver who was in on the con….he set this up he knew Cecilia would call for help, he know Parker was working for her…..also they then try shooting thr door open but the gun is Jammed….it turns out Kramer altered the bullets to get Jammed while they were sitting there….then this acid gas comes spilling in through these vents and he a valvue opens up he says only one of u can make it out alive u both will have to fight each other to the death…

All while that’s happening Kramer and Amanda break loose of there chains they made it easy to escape from them they just had to twist the screws on it….ohhhh so they could have escaped this entire time they just gave them multiple chances to redeem themselves but as the recording says to them we gave u multiple chances to be redeemed but u both threw it away…

Then Kramer saves the boy then Amanda covers the boys eyes so he doesn’t see this….then we see Cecilia stick her head out through the valvue but then we see Parker yank her away then we cut back to him saying I’ll die for u….which I guess was a lie, yeah these 2 deserve each other they’re both shitty people, anyways then she yanks him out then takes a blade tries stabbing him then she stabs him in the back which we cut back to John saying shell kill u, u know? She’ll burn u……all while he’s getting burned by the toxic smoke oh yes Mr. Kramer most often then not speaks in quotes…

Anyways so unfortunately Cecilia lives, oh how wonderful but John Kramer and Amanda ans the kid leave the building also John gives all the money to the kid to have….the end, also there’s a mid credits scene surprisingly which I almost walked out on because I didn’t know there was gonna be an mid credit scene….so this mid credit scene shows the iconic bathroom from the first movie where we see John Kramer have Henrey chained to a mechanism because he was in on the con, the surgery scar was a fake….wow so who wasn’t in on it? But then we see who found Henrey for Kramer, John says thank u detective for finding my former cancer patient…….then we see now who he was talking to it’s defective Hoffman, wooooohooooo yeah the entire theater clapped at his return so did i….

Hoffman Says I so out of all the people u decided to con u decided to pick John Kramer? I call that a poetic epic bad luck…..then they turn on the trap which is some kinda mechanism that well tear open into his stomach…Anyways the end so overall yeah I had a great time with this film I actually have to give credit to the script writers they knew how to make a good plot twist that kept in intrigued….finally some competent writers, haven’t seen one of those in a while lolo…

The only thing yall will have to extend ur disbelief on is that this film takes place right in between Saw 1 and 2….so Amanda and Kramer are supposed to be slightly younger yet they both look older in this film….but does it matter? Lolo

Keep in mind I’m no Saw fan in any form of the way or meaning…but I liked this film so I’ll give it a solid 9.8/10 I highly recommend it if ur into gore that is
