Spiderman Insomniac PS4:

So I firstly wanna state off I’m late to this game….I only got a PS4 for the first time of Christmas 2021 so that’s when I also brought the game….I’m grateful I got the chance to play the game I’ve been meaning to this game is such a great Spiderman game….in fact, it’s the Is quintessential Spiderman game to a lot of people….anyways let’s get into the review shall we…also heres the trailers enjoy

So in this game, u play as Spiderman aka Peter Parker, and u start off this game by heading out to stop Wilson Fisk the KingPin….instead of doing his apartment bills…shocker, so he swings to Wilson Fisk’s office and may I just say that the swinging in this game is so damn fun, never before in a Spiderman game the swinging felt so fluid and felt Accelerating…..but Insomniac was able to nail down Spiderman down to a T…..so anyways Spiderman gets there, and talks to a female cop named Captain Yuri Watanabe…..she tells Spiderman Fisk is inside so he heads in beats up some guards then go beat up Fisk….

So he gets to Fisk, fights him then ties him up…so now he’s headed to prison….where he does say one month!! One month u will wish I was still around!!……mainly because he was keeping crime intact……uh oh, so then afterwards Spiderman heads over to his job, yes he has a job…on his off time as Peter he works for Doctor Otto Octavius where he’s in a rush to build a pair of robotic arms…..don’t ask why, but he feels the pressure…..oh right it’s because he has an illness and wants to heal it so he thinks robotic arms on his back will help him walk when his walking functions shut down basically……ouch, so anyways also on his off time, Peter is helping out his aunt who works at a homeless shelter called FEAST, which was a place in No Way Home btw….and Miles Morales works at this place….

BTW Spiderman builds himself a new suit, which is his Spiderman suit but this time with a giant white spider symbol on his chest, and white on his knuckles…..It’s a really really cool design

Also, Norman Osborne is running for president, and Peter and MJ haven’t heard from their friend Harry Osborne ever since he left on his vacation….oh and Peter and MJ are broken up….so with that out of the way….the story doesn’t truly pick up until an attack happens during a robbery which is being led by a villain named Mr. Negative…..who has the powers to well well I’m not exactly I think it’s mind control people and to make them obey him, also he glows black and white, also his men are called the Demons, they are a group of people who use guns and wear these kabuki black and white masks……that’s cool

Anyway so Spiderman finds out Mr. Negative plan to try to assassinate Norman Osborne at his election so now Peter has to figure out who Mr. Negative is and how to stop him…..so he asks for MJ and Miles to help investigate which btw leads to the worst part of this game, playing as Miles and MJ because dear lord they suck…….all u can do as them is crouch, hide toss objects and hope u don’t get caught….yeah that’s all u can do and if u get caught, u can’t fight back at all for some reason…..wow making the female character not being able to fight, that’s uhhh kinda backwards progressive if u ask me…..

Anyways at one of Norman Osborne parades……a suicide bomber comes up behind….glowing white and black so he’s under Mr. Negatives control……anyways he blows up causing mass destruction which leads to Miles Morales father to die because he was in the blast radius because he’s one of the cops at the parade……

So anyways this woman named Silver Sable along with her group called Sable comes after u because she believes ur the threat…..but after finding out later that Spiderman isn’t a threat, she reluctantly joins Spiderman’s side to take down…..Mr. Negative and his men

Anyway, little later on Peter and MJ find out their friend Martin who works at FEAST is Mr. Negative…..uh oh for u see he hates Norman Osborne, wow what a shocker……and this so-called devil breath Mr. Negative has been talking about is an air born virus accidentally created by Oscorp industry’s……so he’s planning on releasing it causing everyone to become sick, oh jeepers…..

Anyways back to Otto Octavius, he has successfully made the 4 octopus arms to put on his back…..yayyyy, I guess…..he reveals how happy he is, but we don’t exactly know how happy he means till little later………

Anyways while this is happening MJ has snuck into Osborne’s house and is investigating for clues….what she finds in Harry Osborne’s bed with medical stuff like a hospital bed, an IV, and a medical bag…….she contacts Peter and says has Harry been sick this entire time? Because they never knew he was sick….because he didn’t tell them…..btw they’ve not seen him for a long while because last they chatted he said he was leaving town……I think leaving town was code for I’m sick and my dad’s gonna take care of me…….so anyways afterward she finds Osborne’s secret room where she finds out information on the devil’s breath….

So then the devil’s breath ignites I forget how….causing people in the town to get sick, we see aunt May coughing up blood, oh no she’s infected…….if things couldn’t get worse a breakout happens at the prison on an island….when I say breakout I mean explosion….once he gets there….guess who he finds has escaped?

After a bit of chasing them down around the island, it’s revealed who’s behind their escape…. both doc Oc and Mr. Negative…..uh oh yeah so Doc Oc wants to go after Norman Osborne because he hates him….once again what a shocker….for u see they both use to be friends when growing up…but had a splitting parts away……anyways so they injure Spiderman….then Spiderman wakes up in FEAST being healed because Silver Sable and MJ dragged him to there to get him healed….here he finds out MJ is dying, she’s in another room….she doesn’t have long….Spiderman needs to get the antidote from Doc Oc so they can make more of it to cure the town…..

So Spiderman heads through town to stop the baddies who escaped……he stops Mr. Negative which he sends to prison…and promises to get him the help he needs, as in mental help…..then now Spiderman has to face doc Oc so he goes back to the lab and designs himself a new suit made of the same material as doc Oc arms are made of….anyways he then goes to the tower doc Oc is at u fight him……afterwards u crash him Into the building after battling him on the side of the building…..here’s the clip that comes next and I absolutely love this emotional scene

I just love Peter’s reaction “No ur wrong! U were everything I wanted to be! U just threw it away!” Dang u can feel the emotion in Peter’s voice….but doc Oc tries tricking him by saying I see that now, I was wrong….which Peter says I’ll get u the help u need in prison….which doc Oc says no! If I get locked up! They will take my arms away! I’ll be stuck in this useless body!……dang that’s deep….

So anyways cops come and arrest him….Peter takes the serum back to the Doctors, they tell him they don’t have enough time to make more before aunt May dies….so either he gives it aunt May and saves her ans let thousands die or he let’s aunt May die and let them save thousands of people……dang, he has to make the tough decisions….so he goes over to aunt May who’s dying, she asks him to take his mask off she says I know it’s u Peter….he says how did u know? She said I’ve known for a while…..then unfortunately she does die and he does cry…….dang this is depressing……so anyways Silver Fable and her men leave town, there’s a funeral for aunt May and everyone else who died…..the game ends with a time skip and Peter and MJ has patched there relationship kinda, they seem to care more about each other and doing good for themselves….also game officially ends with Miles getting bitten by a spider in his house which Spiderman notices and gives him the uh oh face….or was it that Miles ended up crawling on thr celling and Peter noticed? It’s one of those 2…..

Anyways the end, oh wait there’s an end credits teaser well ok there’s 2 of them but I wanna mention the second end credits scene….here’s the clips

So the end credit scene is of Norman Osborne going into the secret room opening up a secret locked tube like thing that reveals to have Harry Osborne floating inside this green ooze with the symbiote attached around him uh oh and Norman says we will find a cure I promise…I love u son, then he puts his hand on the window and a piece of symbiote reaches out to thr other side placing it against the window…like a hand……ohhhhh where getting Venom in the sequel….speaking of we’ve officially gotten a 12 min game play trailer for Spiderman 2….here it is enjoy…..also the game is set to come out sometime this fall

BTW I’ll write a review on this game but it won’t be for a while for u see it comes sometime in fall and it’s going straight to PS5 only….I’m getting a PS5 this Christmas and I’ll need time to 100% the game before I write my review so keep an eye out  for my review on Insomniac Spiderman 2 sometime early 2024……

Overall I freaking love this game I highly recommend it to anyone who has a PS4 or PS5….so I’m giving this game a solid 9.8/10 only flaw was the MJ and Miles segments…God those were awful
