Spiderman Across The Spider-Verse: firstly let’s start off with showing yall the trailers enjoy plz do

So yes we’re in for a banger with this film….like I cannot wait to start discussing about this film, so let’s get into it shall we?

So we start off this film by showing 15 min of Spider-Gwen, so yeah 15 min….if yall wondering what the 15 shows? Well we get more character development of her character…..in the start she tries joining a band but is afraid to open up to them, to fully embrace them….btw i love thr bands name its the Mary Jane…..lolo thats so creative….anyways she is afraid to open up as i was saying…….to understand the value of recruiting a group…..because she doesnt want to lose another friend……also we learn why and how she lost her version of Peter and how she feels, for u see her version of Peter turned himself into the lizard man…..uh oh, and the night of their homecoming….lizard shows up so Spider-Gwen takes on the lizard and collapses the building on him but he turns back into Peter, revealing to her he’s Peter…..he dies in her arms and her father lieutenant Stacy comes out which Spider-Gwen leaves but now she’s wanted because Stacy believes she killed Peter….whos Gwen Stacy’s best friend….but that’s far from the truth she didn’t kill him, we will get to that soon

So anyways later on there’s a call about Vulture attacking a museum so she goes and investigates…..what she finds is a different Vylture from the Renaissance era, yeah don’t ask plus his art style is completely different…..fair warning idk how to describe the art styles but I’ll try my best to…..his art style is all wooden looking, so anyways they fight…..then Miguel O’Hara voices by Oscar Isac comes out of a portal to help Spider-Gwen……btw he’s a Spiderman but he is so much different, he has claws, sharp vampire-like teeth….his webs are red Lazer like….also hes tall and Buffy, he has 2 long red claws coming out of his elbows, his suit is dark blue with r3d details….a giant red spider desing on his chest…..anyways then he brings in backup after he gets beaten up….he brings in Jess Drew Spider-Woman….she comes in on a motorcycle….then they continue to fight….also I love that they reference Tom Holland Spiderman, by Miguel saying and dont get me started on doctor strange and that Spiderman from earth 199999……lololo, then Vulture knocks down a helicopter after the Spiderman people save the people, Mr. Stacy comes running up trying to arrest Spider-Gwen but she reveals herself to him to be his daughter but instead of him caring he tries to arrest her

So Miguel O’Hara tosses her a Teleportation watch to join the team he says u coming along….then they walk off with the Vulture tied up…..anyways so back in the modern day, Miles Morales is living his life but his family is being strict they want him to go to a college near them …..and want him to get only A’s in his grades…..his parents are sitting with the college Ministrator to talk about Miles college future but Miles isn’t there….no he’s instead stopping a robbery at a convenient store which is being robbed by a guy named The Spot, he’s all white and has black holes on him everywhere…..his jokes allow him to open dimensions basically but he doesn’t find that out till little later….but for now Miles shows up doesn’t take The Spot seriously….heck he calls him villain of the week, lolo which The Spot takes offense to that he says no I’m not…..I am ur greatest enemy……btw wanna take a moment to say that the spots design is great the art style they use u can see the construction lines still on him….it’s like they left the sketch lines there…..to me that was a creative art choice…..things here look more drawn…..some with rough brush strokes such as The Spot, makes it feel more like a comic book brought to life….less animated and 3D, trust me u will enjoy the look of each art style for the characters….btw here’s the clip of The Spot trying to rob a convenient store

Anyways after battling him for a bit outside, building, and ties him up….Miles shows up where the college Ministrator says he got a B in Spanish but he can scavenge this by going to college I’m Princeton…..I believe, so he convinces his parents to allow him to go there to pursue his dreams, they agree…….he then leaves because he sees The Spot escaped oh and Miles dad leaves as well to apprehend The Spot….they try taking him down, but the Spot brings Spiderman back to where this all started and it was at the collider explosion…..which was the thing that happened when Spiderman died trying to save the world from falling in half thanks to the Kingpin wanting to open up the multiverse……btw we finally get to find out who The Spot is……so ok remember that scene in Spiderman Into the Spider-Verse? Where Peter B Parker and Miles Morales are trying to escape a science building from a group of scientists? Same scene we get introduced to Spider-Gwen in? Well remember that Miles tosses a bagel at a scientists head? Yeah that scientist who got hit on the head from the bagel is the spit……yeah this all started because of a bagel….

Well kinda for u see he’s the one who brought the spider who bites Miles Morales into this universe so he thinks he created Miles Morales Spiderman….but he also says Spiderman created The Spot thanks to when he blows up the second Collider wormhole, to stop the Kingpin….because thanks to that it mutated him into whatever this is….so once again this all started because of a bagel being tossed on a random scientist….and now he hates Spiderman because his family has disowned him, won’t even look at him always laughs at him……ok it really seems like he’s compensating for something…..anyways Spiderman accidentally beats him by well The Spot kicking himself on accident into one of his portals so he kicked himself into himself somehow….heh

Anyways in there he finds out he can jump through different dimensions….we see him stick his head in

A Lego version of the Daily Beagle

The Venom movie universe (yes its live action.
….yeah this film has live-action moments interacting with animated characters….ok this film has become bonkers in a good way) where he sticks his head into Ms. Chen’s convenient store……he says I’m about to open up a multiverse collider that will end all reality and ur reaction is like u always deal with this daily as if this is a typical Tuesday for u……lolo I really do like this scene she just seems unimpressed of a animated head sticking out of a portal in front of her…then he says can I take some gum? Then he takes it

He also appears in a old comic book stylized version of the Spiderman…..

So with this knowledge he now wants to give himself more dots on him because all his dots are now off of him….

Anyways after an argument at a party that Miles family throws for him…he gets grounded for 2 month, then he goes to his room where Spider-Gwen shows up…..they then go swinging together and Miles family go into his room to talk to him but since he’s not there and someone jacket is there….the dad says thats it 3 months!!….lolo so anyways after Miles and Gwen catch up a bit and Gwen admitting a daring relationship wouldn’t work because in every universe where Gwen falls in love with Spiderman it ends poorly….uh oh, also she doesn’t tell Miles why she’s here….she’s here to investigate the strange anomaly……so she dips out from the party after being introduced to Miles family….where Miles follows her, where he finds out by her using a holographic recreation that The Spot created an anomaly explosion in a building that now has Spots on the building….because he was trying to get himself more dots…..

Uh oh she failed her mission, but luckily Drew Spider-Woman whatever her name is gives her 1 hour to clean this mess up before Miguel O’Hara finds out otherwise she can’t help Spider-Gwen out…..so then she opens a portal up and leaves where Miles follows her behind….anyways they end up in an Indian universe where Spot is just teleporting around and we get introduced to another Spiderman named Pavitr Prabhakar…..his life is perfect, he’s got a girlfriend and has a great relationship with his aunt…..is perfect at school and loves being Spiderman…ohhh so he’s had nothing wrong in his life happened yet….btw I love this piece of dialog, he says I love drinking Tea with my aunt then Miles says I love Chai Tea….which then Pavitr Prabhakar says? What did u just say? U realize that Chai means Tea right? So u just said u love drinking Tea Tea……lololo

Anyways the three of them catch up with The Spot who enters this universe version of the scientist building he worked for on his version of the universe….which has the same collider multiverse thing……anyways inside the spot creates a bubble around him to prevent the 3 to defeat him….but then as soon as Miles tries opening the bubble by absorbing the power with his electricity…….another Spiderman comes in named Spider Punk….whos name is Hobie, he comes with rocking a guitar, has metal spikes on his head in A Mohawk position….wearing a Jean jacket…..anyways this version of Spiderman is a Spiderman who doesn’t follow the rules or orders….he goes against anarchists, propaganda all that…..nor does he like catchphrases for some reason……oh under the mask his hair is thick and he is a Jamaica guy I think….actually I might be wrong sorry, what I know is that he’s dark skinned and has a nose piercing and lip piercing….he’s freaking cool…

BTW I know I’m gonna butcher the art style description sorry…the best way I can describe his art style is very uh 80s grey-toned paint slosh kinda style….anyways so they fail in stopping The Spot…..he opens the multiverse and enters it…..where now he goes from being a goofy baddie and now becomes an actual threat……so in this scene Pavitr Prabhakar says well that’s a easy well day work done for Spiderman which the other Spiderman try saying no no no no then the portal explodes…..then we see a vision in all black and white of The Spot becoming The Spot then we hear emergency alarms going off, we see The Spot now slender like tall with sharp nails, his skin all black now and his holes are swirly white…..he’s glitching a bit with these partials coming off him, and we see him suck in objects into his holes he spawns and out the other end….then we get a glimpse of Miles dad rescuing a kid from Falling debrie……uh oh……he then says I’m gonna take everything from u like u took everything from me….also heres the eerie alarm noise soundtrack that plays over this scene

Jeepers this guy went from a joke and became an actual multiverse threat, and I think this goes back to the whole well if Miles Morales actually took him seriously and didn’t laugh at him and take him as a joke…..also not feeling the sympathy for him for what he is going through…would he have pushed himself so hard to become a multiverse threat? I find these questions in the Spiderman mythos to be both intriguing and mature …..it’s kinda like with the Toby Maguire Spiderman, if he stopped that robber from robbing the wrestling bosses money….would he have been able to save uncle Ben from death?

So anyways the building starts to fall so the Spiderman go into action and get people out of the way and try stopping the building from falling on people……this ends with Pavitr Prabhakar on a bridge having the option to save his girlfriend who’s in a bus or saving her father who’s a cop….saving a kid, but Miles decides to go save the cheif….but Gwen tries stopping him, but he does it anyways……so then the building collapses on him but he’s okay and so are the 2 people he rescued……so yayyy no casualties, except for the fact there’s a giant black hole starting to form underneath the bridge….so then a plane comes down with several Spiderman, they go and stop the anomaly from getting worse…….Drew Spider-Woman tells the team Miguel O’Hara wants all of them back including Miles, unfortunately…..so they head back to HQ

So when they get to HQ they show all the Spiderman who is there……there’s a ton of them, anyways they show Miles the containment room where they are holding different variants of villains, here we get to see a live-action Prowler in a cell played by Donald Glover….yeah once again this is strange seeing live action in an animated film……anyways they go chat to Miguel O’Hara who’s slowly coming down on his platform that’s levitating….here’s the music that plays for his introduction in this scene, it’s epic and eerie

Anyways as Gwen points out to Miles, yes I know that platform coming down is slow but it’s his thing…….btw this platform has monitors on it, so he can keep an eye on different variants of Spiderman and their back story….oh and keep up with multiverse anomalies…….he then goes on to yell, saying u messed this up…..and that Miles shouldn’t be here…..

Then Peter B Parker shows up with a baby girl…. that’s right he got married to MJ and now has a daughter who has Spiderman abilities…..now all he cares about is showing pictures of him and his baby to everyone yet she’s right there in person Lolo……then I love this moment where the baby swings into Miguel O’Haras’s hands and he’s just standing there stern not smiling….with Peter B Parker standing behind him saying come on Baby Parker we’ve talked about this….and Miguel says I’m trying to save the universe….I’ve told u this multiple times….

Anyways he reveals to Miles that his dad is gonna die in 2 days when he becomes captain and it has to happen because and I quote, it’s a Canon timeline and a Canon timeline has to stay intact…..it can’t be messed with otherwise it F**ks up everything….he then points out thanks to Miles he saved that Indian daughters father and he was meant to die on that bridge……ohhhhh, then he looks at Gwen and says and u didn’t stop him…..Miles says I thought u tried stopping me because it was dangerous? Which Gwen says I did…..but I was doing both……then Miles says ur just gonna let this happen? Let my father die? What about uncle Ben…which Peter says if not for uncle Ben…most of us wouldn’t be here, then Miguel says look Miles I understand where ur coming from, before I wanted the same thing u wanted….then he shows his back story, for u see he lost his daughter and wife so he tried jumping to a different dimension to live in a world where there still alive….luckily for him he found a universe where there version of Miguel got shot so he came and took his spot….he thought everything was going his way until an anomaly happened and destroyed that universe….killing everyone…

So for u see u can’t alter Canon timelines….he then shows footage of different Spidermans losing their uncle Ben’s…..where we get to see footage from the live action Toby Maguire Spiderman and Andrew Garfield Spiderman……holy shite I love this film….also when he shows an image of the multiverse branch it looks very very similar to the Loki shows version of the multiverse branch we see…..which makes me wonder how much is Sony is trying to making there Sony marvel films Canon to the Disney marvel….because even in the Morbius film we got an end credits scene of Vulture coming through a portal into the Morbius world……I wonder what cameos we will get in Beyond the Spider-Verse? Only time will tell

So then hundreds of Spiderman come out of nowhere to surround Miles like it’s an intervention….guess who shows up? Penny Parker from the last Spiderman film….anyways Miles says I can’t believe ur asking me to let my dad die? Which Miguel says I’m not asking, then a holographic cell spawns around Miles trapping him…..then everyone is trying to defend Miles telling Miguel to stop…..while Miles is trying to use his lighting powers to break through but he is only using his fingers so Spider-Punk knocks on the other side of the cell showing him to use the palm of his hands….which then Miles does, then he breaks free and swings away then Spider-Punk opens a portal and says I quit….bye, I love Spider-Punk he’s truly a great new character……btw I love that his character was basically just a red herring…..we the audience thought this was gonna be a love triangle drama between Gwen and Hobie and Miles because the way she talked about Hobie…..but nope he was cool the entire way through, he was here to give Miles a helping hand….both metaphorically and literally……

So then anyways Miguel contacts all Spiderman and tells them “everyone stop what u r doing and stop Spiderman” Which then we se all them pointing at each other saying u no u? No u? Then Miguel says ughhh I mean Miles…..Miles Morales he’s entering sector four…..here’s the clip

As u can see…..yall can see Spiderman PS4 pointing his finger as well……honestly, this scene was so well done, it was a great way to recreate this iconic Spiderman meme……anyways so they chase him down….heck they chase him through a therapy session where a Spiderman is talking to his Spiderman therapist

Spiderman: (crys) I saw my uncle and

Spiderman therapist: let me guess, uhh he died?

……they eventually end up climbing the side of a train, where Miles notices Miguel has claws which he uses to tear through the train to get to him….and I love this little haunting interaction

Miles: u have claws? Are u sure ur even a Spiderman?

Miguel: me? Who are u to judge? Ur not even supposed to be Spiderman!

Which then once Miguel O’Hara gets close enough to Miles and holds him down while Gwen and Peter B Parker are climbing behind Miguel….is when Miguel drops a few mature subjects, he says u r the original anomaly! U where never supposed to be Spiderman! If it wasn’t for u and for u being there! Ur version of Peter Parker wouldn’t have died! And would have been able to stop the collider! Preventing The Spot from being born! Which Is ur fault! Damn that’s alot to just dump on a young teenager

Then Peter says Miguel stop this isn’t what we talked about! Which Miles says u knew? U both knew? And Gwen says sorry, I just didn’t know how to tell u……then Miles realizes this is why they never came and visited him…..then Peter says this is for ur own good which this dialog happens

Miles: says who?! I’m not a kid!

Miguel: yes u r! Ur just a child who is refusing to listen and has no idea what he is doing!

Then Miles points out the group of Spiderman crawling up the side of the train and he he grabs Miguel starts absorbing power to use his electricity ability and he says everyone tells me how my story is supposed to go….nah I’m doing it my own way….then he zaps Miguel and he says I’m going home! Which then pushes back Miguel down the train into the other Spidermans…..yayyyy!!

Then Miles jumps off, turns invisible……sneaks into the control room turns on the scanner to scan him to take him back home……and the Machine says calculation locked on earth 42……ohhhhhh noo, but Miles doesn’t realize that so he gets on the pad the machine puts a cocoon around him to telport him away…..which Miguel tries breaking through with his bare hands……and instead of the technician lady pressing abort Teleportation she insisted looks at Miles with a smile and presses the yes continue button so he telports away….

Leaving Miguel mad……and now wanting to send other Spidermans and himself to go find Miles Morales and bring him back in…….Gwen tried taking Miguel out of this….she says he’s my friend and he says that’s the problem! The time for talking is over! We tried that!….then she asks how do u even know an anomaly will happen if Miles saves his dad? Which Miguel turns around angrily and says do u want to find out for yourself!?

Then Gwen asks Drew Spider-Woman for backup she says he isn’t wrong….then she says I said if u get caught I can’t help u out….then Gwen says I am not going with u….which Miguel responds with ur right….then the machine grabs her drags her onto the pad sending her home uhh ohh then Miguel says go home Gwen…..and Gwen’s final words before getting teleported back home is I thought we’re supposed to be the good guys…which we can see leaves Drew Spider-Woman uncertain of following Miguel’s orders and Peter B Parker with the same look….then Miguel just standing there slightly hunched over and his eyes looking straight at where Gwen was says we are the good guys….then he turns around and says we are!

Yeah sorry buddy ain’t nothing ur saying or doing convinces me ur a hero, anyways Peter B Parker says he’s going home and ok I gotta say I absolutely love this insult Miguel says to Peter…..instead of saying oh right F**k off I’ve had it with u anyways….he says good I’ve had about the right amount of u……then he and some of the team along with Drew Spider-Woman teleports away……Good I’ve had about the right amount of u….ok im gonna start saying that, if someone pisses me off or annoys me…instead of me saying go away, I’ll just say….good I’ve had about the right amount of u…..lolo

So anyways Miles starts heading to his home to tell his mom that he is Spiderman, while Gwen get teleported back into her universe….she sneaks into her house sees her dad drunk and knocked out unconscious….she takes a picture of her and Peter and tries to walk away out the window but her father wakes up turns the lights on…says u can’t even look at me? Which she does angrily…and he says what are u doing? And she says I’m looking at u…..then he says where have u been? Which she sarcastically says oh idk maybe murdering my friends? This makes her dad annoyed and he walks away but before he leaves the apartment she then has a heart-to-heart with him…..saying I’ve tried to live up to u….I tried doing it the way u would want me to….but I can’t……u wear that badge because it’s a sign of honor and respect….this, this mask it is my badge of honor……I am trying to do better…..I didn’t murder Peter….but if ur gonna arrest me…well arrest me then

Which then her dad says I can’t then she says why not? Which he says Gwen, I’ve resigned…….dunnnnnnnn which Gwen says how long u have been resigned? He says I resigned 6 min after ur speech to me when u revealed yourself to me as Spider-Woman……he says ur the best thing that has happened to me….then she shoots a web at him dragging him to her and embraces him in a hug…..btw I think at this point she realizes wait? If my dad resigned does that mean maybe if Miles dad resigns then can he be saved and no anomaly happens? Has Miguel been out of his mind?….

Anyways her dad hands her a box….he says btw another guy dropped this off for u said it would help u…she opens it and it’s a homemade Teleportation watch, made from guess who? Spider-Punk….the note on it says I made this for u in case u and ur gang didn’t work out……once again I love Spider-Punk he’s such a great character….I believe how he made this watch well has to do with earlier when they where walking to Miguel in HQ because during going to Miguel….Hobie was taking things off walls, and putting them in his pocket…he probably used that tech to make the watch….which really fits with the whole punk thing, u know not following the rules….doing his own thing, going up against the system….so it makes sense for him to make his own watch…he be like F**k u I’m gonna teleport where I want when I want and don’t have to follow orders…..heheheh so she opens a portal and says to her dad ill be back…I promise….he gives her a happy smile nod and she leaves…and i love his dialog he says “ohh boy being a parent, having a kid…well it’s very uncertain with there future” lolo ain’t that the truth

So if u think this is where the film ends because this is gonna be part 1? Nope unfortunately this film drags out….which is my only issue with this film the ending drags out…where u think it’s gonna end for the cliffhanger, it just decides to drag out…..so instead we see Miguel ans his men telport to Miles universe to find Miles Morales….then we see Peter B Parker go back to his home….put his child to sleep and MJ come in and he asks her…do u think I’ll be good at raising a kid? Which she says ur asking me this now?….lolo true why the heck is he asking her this now after they’ve had a kid?

Then we see Miles get home but something is looking off but we don’t know it yet…..for now his mom enters the room he then fries to tell her the truth he says promise me u won’t panic or get mad…she says whatever u tell me I will be OK with…..I’ll support u…..so then he tells her that he is Spiderman, which then she says who’s Spiderman……dunnn dunnn dunnn, then he tries explaining to her but she thinks he’s joking….but then he gets a Spiderman sense that he’s in the wrong universe…….which at the same time Spider-Gwen gets the sense as well while she’s looking through Miles house in his universe……anyways she notices his family return home she comes out of the bedroom tells them she doesn’t know where Miles is but she’s gonna go look for him….the mother says if u find Miles, tell him it’s 5 months……lolo, and to stay safe and plz come home…….she says I will oh and she tells them that Miles loves them so much they don’t know how much he does, he’s told her….awww that’s so sweet….

So she heads out and telports away……then back to Miles where the dad comes home and guess who the dad is? His uncle Erin….aka The Prowler…..dun dunn dunnn……the wife says there errands that need to be done….then Uncle Erik takes Miles with him up to the roof…where he sees a painting of his dad who passed away in this universe….mirroring the painting of his uncle who passed away in his universe…….dun dun dunnn, then the Prowler comes out of nowhere and knocks Miles out…..he wakes up tied to a bag, which he tries to convince Uncle Erin to let him go that his version of Uncle Erin didn’t want to be the Prowler….he was a good man….but then Erin hits the bag with the Prowler glove and says I’m not….but he is…

Then this mysterious figure comes jumping down and he takes off his mask revealing he is Miles Morales……dun dun dunn, so in this universe Miles became The Prowler….uh oh……Miles tries pleading with him saying u gotta let me go….our dad is gonna die….which Prowler Miles says, u mean ur dad….and why on earth should I help u……so he basically just said why should I help u save ur dad who’s also my dad…….uh oh then he puts his hand which has the Prowler glove on it right near Miles face……leaving us in suspension….while this happens we get narration from Spider-Gwen saying I didn’t see a purpose to having a band or building a band….but now I have made a band of my own…which we see her teleport to Peter B Parker house inviting him to her team, so him and his child head out and the finale shot of them is on a roof along with the new team being

Yes the original team from into the Spider-Verse is back!! With Spider-Punk along as well!! Yess yes…..and Spider-Gwen says where coming to save u Miles….then the final shot of thi film shows The Spot landing in Miles Morales universe creating a wormhole, ans he starts having sparks of black lines come off him with the black hole getting slightly bigger and that’s where the film ends….it cuts to black and says “to be continued” uhh ohhh and btw there’s no end credit scenes…instead during the mid credits the words comes up…Miles Morales will return in Spiderman Beyond The Spider-Verse…..which is the name of the 3rd film….

I wanna quickly mention before I give yall my rating, that Spiderman Beyond The Spider-Verse was luckily filmed back to back with this film so apparently from the research I did….the official release date for Spiderman Beyond The Spider-Verse is set for March 29th 2024…..less then a year but its still 9 and a half months…thats far away but I hope we can make to it….lolo

Overall I fricking love this film honestly they did it again…..Sony has successfully made a 3rd successful Spiderman film…..wanna know what’s weird though? The 3 Spiderman films that Sony made that are massive success have to do with well Spiderman and multiverses…..who knew that’s what fans really wanted, not just a Spiderman movie….no, but a multiverse Spiderman film……keep up the good work, also I loved the parallels between Miles and Gwen in this film…..in this film Gwen’s whole story arc was about learning to accept being apart of a team, while Miles story arc was about trying to do his own thing……

In my opinion, it seems like The Spot is compensating for something while Miguel is just a prick….so basically I’m saying Miguel isn’t a villain, he’s more of an anti hero, we can understand his motivation….but the way he tries to accomplish it is kinda questionable…..while the Spot who yes is pathetic but he’s the main baddie

I never usually do this but I do have one theory and I wanna mention it……after looking and thinking about elements from this film and noticing things…..I’ve come up with a theory that seems plausible for the next film….what if in the next film Miguel O’Hara is revealed to be a anomaly as well? Think of it because something about his back story is off….he said that he came to a universe where he is dead so he took over that versions life…..but the question is this……is he the uncle Ben type character in that universe? Or was that variant a Spiderman? If that universes version of him that died was the uncle Ben of sorts…then is there a Spiderman in already in that universe? If so who? Hence why I believe this Miguel O’Hara might be an anomaly….something or someone that shouldn’t be existing in that universe…..but hey that’s just a theory…what yall think? Do yall think I’m stretching it or thinking logically?

So overall I’m gonna give this film a solid 9.6/10 like I said my only issue with this film is the ending drags a bit….but I loved everything else about the film heck I also liked the ending cliffhangers…..go watch this it’s worth the money
