Hobbs and Shaw: so im going to be perfectly clear and honest…..the only fast and furious films I’ve seen are….fast 5…fast 7 and fast 8….and this spinoff of a film….and out of those….this spinoff caught my interest more…….lets start off with the trailers….

Since this is a Universal film, Y’all know what that means? Cue the Universal Logo!

With that out of the way I’d like to mention one thing i had a problem with this film…..its that this film is a superhero film……which brings me to my problem with this whole series….I liked that this series yes to be able illegal racing films….with some action….but now they’ve become superhero action blockbuster films…..I kid u not when I say this….majority of our characters in this series survive near impossible moments…..for example…they can survive from falling off a vehicle thats moving fast…..bullshite…..heck in one of the later films….Vin Diesels character Dominic…..stomp his foot onto concrete floor…..or was it he slammed a sledgehammer to the ground…I forget…and somehow the ground breaks and that parking lot he just slammed his foot or sledgehammer into…starts collapsing……um I call bullshite….do u see what I mean this series has gone off the deep end?…heck one of the actors for Fast 9 said in the new upcoming film there gonna be a scene where they go into space

…in there cars……😑😑….ok that’s it logic has officially left the room…..cars in space?…the actual frick…..im sorry but I can’t stretch my tension of  Disbelief for this series anymore…..as I said I prefer this series when it was about car racing….now this series has gone bat shite crazy…..and not in a good way….well depends on who u ask……so with this all out of the way…lets get onto the plot of this film…

• so in this film a woman named Hattie, injects herself with a virus that some evil bad guy group was gonna use as weapons…..reason she ejected herself with it….is to sneak it away from the bad guys….oh one of the bad guys name is Brixton Lore (played by Idris Alba)…and let me just tell u right now….I ain’t a fan of him…..I mean his character…..he’s just a generic villain who has super powers….thats right super powers…this series has officially done it….we gone from street racing, to stupid bullshite physics…to now superheros……the actual frick is going on here…..heck at one point he says im black superman……ohhhhhhh cringe……that line made me cringe……so anyways our 2 main characters 

Luke Hobbs: (played by Dwayne the Rock Johnson)

Deckard Shaw (played by Jason Statham)

Let me get this out of the way….these 2 are great……they both don’t like each other…yet there forced to work together…..if ur wondering why Hobbs hates Shaw…well to give some context…..Shaw was the bad guy…who appears in Tokyo drift…then in Fast 6…then he was the main bad guy in Fast 7…..but then in Fast 8…he and the main characters are forced to work together because Dominic turns evil…..im not gonna get into that because I’m not writing a review on that….all u need to know is he doesn’t turn evil….he’s forced to by a bad guy woman because this woman has his wife and son trapped and Threatens to kill them if he doesn’t do her dirty work….Shaw does redeem himself by saving Dominic son who’s a baby…..let me show u all that scene…

This was honestly my favorite scene in Fast and Furious 8……..so now back to Hobbs and Shaw…there both forced to work together….and we do get a nice comparison scene between how there morning routine are like….they are different….

So anyways Shaw at first is going after Hattie because turns out she’s sister….damn…..anyways …..when they are forced to work together….here’s this scene and its funny….warning ⚠️,…this scene has cussing…..including the F bomb….

Both: no F%@king way!

Hobbs: no im not working with this guy, I’ve been there done that.

Shaw: hey the minute he gets involved, u can kiss goodbye to anything. Because she hulk here only knows how to smash.

Hobbs: yeah Mr Arson here only knows how to blow Shit up.

Shaw: the fact is.

Hobbs: and the fact is.

Shaw: no offense.

Hobbs: oh no offense.

Both: this guy is a real A$$ hole!

Hahahahaha 🤣🤣🤣

So now with them having to team up to save Shaw sister….they do it….but of course with bickering……so they find his sister…….try to hide her away from big baddie……baddie catches up…..a car chase happens….they escape…..and they have a plan to gwt her across the country because Idris Alba character put a wanted bar onto Hobbs and Shaw….now there listed as criminals…..uh oh….so now they have to sneak across the country onto a plane……that scene is funny I won’t spoil it…go watch it ur self……im now gonna skip a bit because I forget the middle act of this film…so near the end of the second act….Hobbs and Shaw get to the secret villain base to save Shaw sister who got captured….so they can attract the serum out of her…..and here’s the scene of them getting into the villains base…..

So anyways…Hobbs and Shaw get captured….they escape don’t worry with Hattie…..also did I forget to mention Hobbs starts falling in love with Hattie….um um great I guess?…..ew…..so now when they escape…..after blowing up the villains hideout they where trapped in….Hobbs has a great idea…to take Shaw and his sister to his family…..BTW they actually casted Dwayne the Rock Johnson brother in this film….that was clever……so now we get to see Hobbs family…..they are unique….some of them are mad at Hobbs for leaving the family business…which is fixing up cars and selling them……I guess we see where Hobbs gets his obsession with cars…..so anyways Hobbs asks where the guns are at….they show him the empty closet….because they sold the guns….and I really love this reaction 

Hobbs: mom where all the guns?

Ms Hobbs: I sold them

Deckard Shaw: very noble of u Ms Hobbs.

(Whispers to Hattie)

Were in serious trouble. 

Hahahahaha 🤣🤣……so anyways they start setting up traps instead….because next day the villains come and fighting starts happening….also Hobbs family starts attracting the serum out of Hattie….don’t worry she gets captured again by Idris Alba character….and um I I don’t know how to describe this scene….that comes after she gets captured…so um here u go….

So um yeah, after….whatever the heck that was…..best way to describe it was several trucks attached to each other in a straight line…attached behind a helicopter? 🤷‍♂️…..so anyways Hobbs and Shaw and Brixton crash onto lower part of the cliff there hanging off of….a final fight happens…..and well at the end of this fight who ever is in charge uses the kill switch and kills Brixton….confused?…well Brixton had computer elements planted into him…..yikes…..this is how he gets his powers…..so yeah now he’s dead…..let me show u that scene….

I I just I don’t care about this final fight like at all……so anyways fay is saved…..Hattie is cured….and thats it…..no seriously thats it the film ends there…..they kill baddie, and it just ends….and Hobbs stays behind with his family….yeah so thats an abrupt ending……if I’ve ever seen one…..so happy ending I guess?….oh no wait I have seen another movie with an abrupt ending….its called Bill and Ted Face The Music……but anyways I like this film its a great film…it is flawed ill admit it….but overall its a fun time film….its on HBO Max and Amazon Prime….try giving it a watch….especially if ur a fast and furious fan…..im gonna give this film a solid 8.9/10
