Fate of The Furious: if yall are wondering wait why am I only reviewing 3 of these films instead of them all? Well it’s because I never bothered watching Fast 1 through 7….well ok that’s a lie, I did watch Fast 7 and 6, and 5 when they came in theaters but I just don’t remember them…..the only thing I remember from 5 was the team dragging a giant safe out of a building through the streets which were recreated in Pirates of the Caribbean 5……wow such originality…..and this was the first film to introduce Hobbs aka The Rock Johnson, what I remember from fast 6 is well that they drove a car out of a skyscraper into another skyscraper……how wonderful…..then there’s 4 things I remember from fast 7

1.  Them going after Shaw for a quote on quote killing Han….here’s the clip of him killing Han

Yeah that’s right, crashed into his car during a race and let the car explode…..damn

2.  The Rock Johnson gets his arm broken and is in hospital for most of the movie but then at the end of the film when he sees chaos going on downtown he just decides ohhh my arm is healed and he flexed his arm to breaks the cast because sure that’s how any of that works, u know….to heal a broken arm all u have to do is spend 2 days at the hospital then just decide oh my arm is now good so let me flex off the cast…. sigh…

3. Vin Diesel stomps his foot on a concrete floor of a parking garage causing it to break and start falling…..because I guess he’s now the Hulk

4. At the end of the movie they have a great send-off to Paul Walker since the actor passed away….here’s the send-off they gave him

As u can see Paul Walker’s character is planning on retiring so he and Vin have one last ride where they separate from each other….all while back flashes of every scene of Paul Walker start playing…..this was an emotional send-off

So this now brings us to Fast 7 or Fate of The Furious…..how does this hold up to the last few films? Should they have ended T Fast 7 when Paul Walker died? Well yes they should have but that’s not the point…..so let’s see how well Fast 8 through 10 holds up….do they warrant being continued? Well let’s start with the trailers shall we

Since this is a Universal film, Y’all know what that means? Cue the Universal Logo!

So let’s start with one key important fact if yall can’t tell from these trailers….yes Dominic Toretto has turned on his family, but why? And yes Vin Diesel still can’t act……he just plays Vin Diesel in every film he’s in….except for Guardians of the Galaxy…..

So anyways in this film, we start with seeing Dominic Toretto racing against people in like I think uh Jerusalem or something like that, anyways after the race while he’s repairing his car a woman named Cipher played by Charlize Theron comes up to him, and tells him….well let me rephrase that forces Dominic Toretto to turn on his family and do whatever she says or else….and if ur wondering what the or else is? Well, she has Dominic Torettos wife and baby son held hostage and if Dominic doesn’t do what she says well she will kill them both…..uh ohhhh,

So the group’s first mission in the modern day btw which involves them stealing something and getting chased by cops…..Dominic Toretto decides to turn on his team by knocking his car into Johnson’s car knocking him to the ground, then Johnson calls in saying Dominic Toretto has turned on us then the cops come and arrest Johnson or Hobbs if u will but I call him Johnson, so uh oh he’s in prison and now

must group to figure out why Dominic Toretto has turned on them oh and figure out how to get Hobbs out of prison….but lucky for them Mr. Nobody played by Kurt Russell offers Hobbs a chance to work for him to help figure out why Dominic Toretto turned on them and to catch Cipher but he declines so he goes into prison, during that night Dominic Toretto and Deckard Shaw are arguing at each other because their cells are across each other….there saying how they will beat each other up…..but then all the cages open up letting the prisoners escape so they all start fighting each other…..Hobbs and Shaw fight their way through the men and then try to fight each other but then Mr. Nobody and his guards show up and say took yall longer than I expected….u both will be working together……huh? Yeah huh is correct

So Mr. Nobody gathers the team and tells them they have to go locate Dominic Toretto because he’s number 1 on the most wanted board in the government. After all, he turned on them and his team, and they want the group to locate and detain Cipher……so then Mr. Nobody brings in Deckard Shaw which the team doesn’t want to team up with him but he makes it clear he’s only here to take out Cipher since she first came to him and forced him to do her bidding or else she’ll kill his brother……yeah ok understandable why he wants to kill her and he says I don’t care for u or ur team or ur little so-called family…..lol I don’t blame him I don’t care about them either

As soon as they continue the conversation a bomb comes out of nowhere, a smoke bomb which then Dominic Toretto and Cipher come walking in….steal something I forgot what it was, and Letty says Dominic are u gonna turn ur back on family? Which then right in front of her both him and Cipher kiss then they leave……ohhhhh so now they have to go after what she just stole

So they head out and locate Dominic in a crowd of people, but then an enemy truck comes out of nowhere crashing, Dominic gets into some armor, and puts on a black mask and grabs and shield…..while Hobbs is shooting at him, this leads into a fist fight, then he chases down Letty into an alleyway where he finds Shaw……then he shoots Shaw….uh oh, Letty says u love me and u will not shoot me….which she isn’t wrong so he doesn’t…..so he let’s her go and Dominic and another one of Ciphers men head back to Cipher…….btw the next scene I’m gonna mention is kinda gut wrenching

So since Dominic Toretto didn’t do what Cipher told him to do, which was shoot Terry so Cipher has he men shoot Dominic Toretto’s wife right in front of him and the infant…..jeepers so if u can’t guess, this makes Dominic Toretto mad but he can’t kill Cipher or else she’ll kill his infant son……Jesus this got dark, so Dominic goes and does her bidding, it’s to stop the gang who have now got to Antarctica to find ciphers base…btw the gang are using a tank, yeah a tank…..did I say this series has become dumb already? Because I don’t wanna come off repetitive…..so anyways while this chase scene happens where Dominic and Ciphers men are chasing our team on ice, and our team in a tank and cars…..also Ciphers sends up a submarine Because sure why not…while she’s in the air in an airplane, ok is it just me or does this all seem a little bit overboard?

Anyways while that happens, guess what happens? Shaw and his brother break on board Ciphers plane to rescue Dominic’s son, awwww Shaw does have a heart also yayyy Shaws alive….btw here’s the clip of him rescuing baby Dom

I just love this scene because he is caring baby Dom in his hands while he’s shooting men, and he puts on headphones on the baby so it doesn’t hear the loud shooting noises, and he looks at the baby saying things alright then the baby smiles and he smiles back saying great…..lolo……so after him and his brother save Doms son they go to try to stop Cipher but she puts on a parachute and escapes, so she can live to fight another day whoopie freaking dew….but then Shaw contacts Dom telling him he saved his son, so now Dom has no reason to follow Cipher so he turns on her men attacking them to help his family…..because it’s always about the family…..so anyways they stop the baddies, stop Ciphers plan…..

So now the day is saved Dom has his kid back but unfortunately, his wife is dead….oh well at least he has Letty, oh but Cipher is still out there so they will have to stop her before she rears her ugly head again…..spoiler alert they never do, so anyways they head home and there a happy family again……so they have a picnic dinner where guess who comes to it….Shaw, well I guess being enemies is no longer a thing when it comes to family, oh and Mr. Nobody joins the picnic…..here’s the clip

So yeah happy ending I guess……anyways so yeah overall I’ll say that I didn’t hate this film, in fact, I found myself enjoying this film…..I especially enjoyed the scenes where Shaw and Hobbs have there bickering with each other……so overall I’m gonna give this film a solid 9/10
