The BlackWing Virus: ok so ladies and gentlemen im wanting to take a short time and write up a short review on 3 scary star wars stories…..yes star wars can get scary in the comics….so this story is about a zombie virus in space….yes there zombies in star wars….but then again if any of u saw the clone wars or read my review…..then u would not be surprised…..so this virus called the BlackWing Virus came from this random sith lord hundreds of years ago trying to create a serum for immortality…..but it fails and turns him into a zombie….anyways hundreds years later a group of siths pick this serum back up…and they fail…it turns them into zombies….including all the sith apprentices that are there …anyways many many years later during the empire….Darth Vader sends down a group of scientists to retrieve this virus to use it as a weapon against the rebellion….anyways u can guess how it goes…they bring it up to the star destroyer,  they accidentally drop it which infects everyone onto the ship….which caused an outbreak….oh BTW these zombies are scary….there rotten corpses and they can adapt and learn how to use controls…and they speak by screaming…….congrats star wars….u have made zombies once again…scary….also heres the YouTube video describing this story….its a very interesting one

I do wanna explain the story in that last video if some of yall don’t click on it…..because it is indeed an interesting 30 min to listen to, trust me on that…

So in this story, a group of imperial officers is on a small ship about to board an Imperial Star Destroyer because they tried to communicate with the ship but they got nothing back from them…..so once they enter they notice an abandoned ship of all kind, imperial ship, rebel X-Wing ships, and a smuggling ship, also the hanger is dimly lightened, so they land they split up…one of them starts to cough, uh oh……one of the officers finds a giant gel tank that he thought were filled with exotic flowers but as soon as he got up to it he notices its not flowers its a giant gel tank filled with human lungs, with pipes on the other side of them sucking out some kinda grey fluid…..ok that be the sign to well get off this ship leave now but nah they dont….

Little later on the other team that split up one of the officers starts vomiting and his skin turns sickly green color so they take him and the others to the sick room where they find a female Doctor and her robot Doctor, they do some tests on the officers….but then one of them starts having a very aggressive seizure…..the robot has to tie him down to restrain him but the guys eyeballs role back into the sockets and he starts vomiting out gushes of blood on the robot…….ewwwww yeah things are looking diar, so they quarantine them in a bubble, another officer comes in and they quarantine him, they take his blood sample and the female doctor’s blood sample and come to the realization that both their types of blood are immune to this virus, and the robot can make an antibody to help prevent others from getting infected, hurray also he determines that this unknown virus can lay dormant until it finds the right time to attack the person’s body, completely undetected at first….uh oh

Anyway so the female doctor scans the ship for life forms she only sees a few red dots on the scanner and goes to the 2 that’s all the way down at the bottom in the solitary place where she finds Han Solo and Chewbacca in the cell…..she injects them with the antibody, but Chewbacca starts getting hallucinations of horrific things then a bump starts forming on his throat so she takes the needle extracts the grey substance and the cure works on both them yayyy almost got worried there for min……

Also the cell doors open everywhere else releasing 2 prisoners who are brothers…..they just suffered the lost of there father who was a prisoner as well thanks to the hands of an imperial officer that’s on board right now uh oh…….anyways in yall opinion doesn’t this so far seem eerie and things can go to shite any moment now? Why yes u are not wrong….for u see the female doctor goes back up to the med room, and notices all the dead bodies are gone….her doctor droid on the floor and mangled up and the only words coming from his mouth that’s coherent is “they woke up, they just…just….eat….eat” shivers just went down my spine saying that

If ur wondering where that officer that was quarantined and then tested for his blood being immune? Well, the 2 brothers try getting into an escape pod but he decides to take the escape pod and leave……well that’s just great…..ok skipping over some things so I don’t describe every moment…..so the female doctor notices on the scanner all these thousands of red dots appear on the monitor that’s right it’s an army of the undead, thr undead are coming….in a giant swarm so now our gang has to try to get off this ship…..btw alot of these zombies are stormtroopers with broken masks exposing there rotten flesh or missing jaws, ewww…….so the escape pod gets sucked back in by the ship, he lands in a shuttle where he finds 4 imperial officers who tell him they been there for 10 weeks the way they survived is there use to be 30 of them but they pulled straws to determine whose gonna be eaten by them so they can survive….eww so they became cannibals, ewww

So anyways then the officer runs out onto a lifter but when he gets there he notices he got bitten on the leg uh oh…..dun dun dunn….anyways so the 2 brothers notice there zombiefied dad who is smiling at them like he realizes how much this must be hurting them, he lunges at them and takes a chomp out of the older brothers leg….so the female doctor stays behind with him to heal him up because she doesn’t want the younger brother to bear witness to 2 family members dying So recently……also Han and Chewbacca and the kid find themselves on the very thin platforms on the side of a giant cavern, they have to get across to get to the panels the kid stays behind while they climb the side……then they notice below them hundreds of zombies who look up at them start screeching then shooting at them that’s right these zombies know how to use guns yikes

Anyways the older brother dies when he gets shot in the back of the head by one of the zombies so she leaves him behind while she heads to the command console room……Han and Chewbacca make it up the shaft to a hallway where they notice canisters filled with grey matter, get this the zombies are planning to do a worldwide extinction, but the issue is the zombies can’t and I mean legitimately can’t survive separated from the herd if they branch off for even 1 min the host and the virus in that host dies….so they’re putting the grey virus in the canisters to carry with them in their ships so they have the feeling of there not separated……wow talk about the worst zombie virus huh? No way they would be able to cause a worldwide pandemic they can’t last 1 min separated from the hive mind…..

Anyways Han and Chewbacca climb back down to the cavern where the young boy is found hanging off the side of a vent for u see he saw his brother and followed him…..stupidity at his finest, turns out with no shocker the brother is a zombie so he leads him into a room tries to attack the brother and the brother climbs into a vent and finds himself hanging off the side of it with another zombie hanging off of him…..then they both fall off but fortunately for them the officer shows up on the lifter saving the kid then he goes on to apologize for killing his dad he says his dad was a great man…..awww then he shows he’s infected already so he decides to jump off the side of the railings and dies…..awwww I kinda felt bad for this imperial officer because he legitimately felt guilt for killing these 2 kids’ father

So the rest of our team gets to the hanger they get onto the shuttle where a zombie comes out of the closet yeah thats right there was a zombie just hiding in a closet for 10 weeks waiting his time for the right moment….these zombies can think and learn ok that’s horrifying….so the female doctor shows up shoots the zombie then they fly out of the hanger where they notice other ships heading out clearly its the zombies piloting away, but luckily for our main characters the ships start colliding into each other blowing each other up….that’s right clearly the vats of grey ooze wasn’t enough to keep the virus alive even 1 min away from the hive mind 🤦…..so the day is saved thanks to cheer stupidity on the oh so smart viruses end……lolo….and let’s just be grateful that this virus didn’t break out it would have caused a worldwide pandemic…..there would be tons of zombified characters……

Overall I absolutely love this story arc it’s one of my favorites……I really wish they’d make a video game based off this comic or a movie I feel it would work as a movie and a game….it has the pieces to be a great film or game….so I’m gonna give this comic a solid 10/10
