Spiderman No Way Home

I don’t know where to begin with this…..maybe I should start off by saying that this film is freaking amazing……this film in my opinion fixes multiple issues I had with the previous Tom Holland Spiderman films…….and I can tell u right off the bat…..this film was such a nostalgia trip for me, seeing the villians from the previous Toby maguire Spiderman films and Andrew Garfield Spiderman films back in this film played by the same actors who played them before……anyways before I get to ahead of myself here’s the trailers

Also heres a warning ⚠️……… warning massive spoilers ahead from this point….If any of yall don’t want this movie to be spoiled for u…..don’t read this…. go watch the film then come back here and read it…..trust me I heavily recommend this film especially to long time Spiderman fans….not just the Spiderman films fans but I’m also talking about Spiderman PS4 fans……oh yeah well get into that in a bit….but all u need to know right now is they take elements from Spiderman PS4 game and I love it……that was clever and is also is way of honoring that popular beloved game…….plus this film is basically just one giant love letter to the fan base…..u will understand why soon…..anyways who ever is sticking around reading this….(I’ll give u one more chance to leave and go see the film I really don’t want to ruin the experience for yall…but if u don’t want to go to the movie theaters because of the Omicron variant of covid-19….then I don’t blame u then in that case wait till it comes on DVD)…..without any further a do let’s get into the review…..oh BTW here’s the first 10 min of the film if yall wanna watch…..

Gaspppssss…anyways the plot of this film is we start off where the end of the last film picked off with a video from mysterio leaking out revealing the identity of Spiderman…..also the town thinks Spiderman killed mysterio because he made it seem like that way in the video….but it’s all false ots fake news but who cares everyone thinks Spiderman is guilty so he picks MJ up and they swing away….so they make it back to Peter’s apartment where Aunt May and Happy Hogan have just broken up…aww no I was hoping there out of nowhere romantic feelings between each other that came into the last Spiderman film would not end anytime soon oh no….(and if yall can’t tell I’m being extremely sarcastic) anyways so the news starts reporting about Peter being Spiderman so now they know…….then they get taken down to jail to be questioned, the cops point out that aunt May was a terrible aunt because allowing a boy to do crime fighting blah blah blah…..

Oh and Spiderman gets a lawyer, he gets Matt Murdock yes that’s right people Daredevil himself he’s now officially part of the MCU woooohoooo…….and he only gets 2 min of screen time…booo……ok so little bit later on Peter visits doctor strange to get him to help do a spell to make everyone forget that Peter Parker is Spiderman……which doctor strange agrees to do it…..but of course since Peter F**ks up during the spell by keep interrupting doctor strange to make it Ned and MJ and his aunt and Happy won’t forget he’s Spiderman…..so interrupts Stevan a total of 4 times which causes something bad to happen…the spell goes out of whack and doesn’t work uh oh….instead it does something worse and we will find that out soon….for now Stevan says I’m sorry that ur friends weren’t excepted into collage because of u but when u talked to the person in charge and they said no they must have had there reasons….which Spiderman says wait I could have talked to them….yeah if it isn’t clear already Spiderman just asked a wizard to mind wipe everyone on this planet before u know going to talk to the collage leader…..ohhh boy so of course Stevan kicks him out…

So Peter finds out by Flash Thompson that the collage person is heading to the airport so Peter goes and locates her in traffic and tries to talk to her….which then all a sudden the bridge in front of them collapses a little and we see big long mechanical arms coming out of the ground……..eeeeekkkkk….and if u guessed Is it doc Oc? Yes it is….its Doc Oc from Sam Rami Spiderman 2…..and he’s played by Alfred Molina….yes thats right he has reprised his role as Doc Oc…..yayyyyyy oh if ur wondering from when exactly was he plucked from his universe, well it was right before he decided to sacrifice himself to destroy his machine he created……so anyways him and Spiderman start fighting because he assumes this is his version of Spiderman even though this Spiderman outfit is metallic and had golden spider legs…..ohhh 2 people with mechanical legs fighting hell yes….anyways fight ends with Spiderman saving the college person from falling off the bridge oh and transferring some of the nano tech onto doc Oc unintentionally….but since that happens he does now have control of doc Ocs arms so he subdues him…..oh ans the collage person says she will go talk to the board about his friends getting in…. btw here’s the entire fight scene between Spiderman and Doc Oc, enjoy

But then guess who shows up next? That right we here maniacal laughter and see the iconic pumpkin bomb from the Sam Rami Spiderman films appear and we see Green Goblin still in his doofy looking plastic suit from the first Spiderman film……eeeekkkk I’m geeking out, and he’s reprised by William Dafoe….thats right Sony and Kevin Feigie pulled all the strings and brought back these actors to play their iconic roles……..anyways so then Peter gets telported into a dungeon where Stevan appears behind him and says be careful what u wish for Parker…..when u wished for everyone to forget ur Spiderman ans u messed the spell up…well instead it brought everyone who knows Spiderman is Peter Parker into our world….dun dun dunn…. so we see these containers which is now holding lizard man from the amazing Spiderman…yeah unfortunately he didn’t get an introduction like the other 2….he just gets captured off screen oh and he’s voiced by the same actor who played him in the amazing Spiderman….the actor name is Rhys Ifans……sadly due to covid-19 they couldn’t get him to appear in person amongst them and same with sandman so they had to pre voice record them from well home I guess and they digitally put them in this film so in this film u don’t see lizard man or sandman in there normal human forms no instead sandman is in a human form but all sand…..well that’s a Slight bummer but I can over look it because u know…..

Anyways Spiderman asks for his friends to come and help him go locate and find and bring back other characters such as doc Oc lizard man…..oh ans go look for Green Goblin or as Spiderman calls him the green elf……lolo, so doctor strange allows it, do they go on the internet and see if anything been mentioned so they can go locate these baddies…..oh while this is happening we see that Norman Osborne is in a ally way talking to his helmet which is talking back at him…well not as much talking but more like taunting him…so Norman grabs a rock and destroys the mask….wooohoooo and he runs off……oh btw JK Simon’s reprises his role as J. Jonah Jameson but in the MCU world he is a different version of him….in this world, he’s bald and instead of the
The Daily Bugle is a newspaper company he instead runs a TV News channel that clearly is inspired by Alex Jones…..don’t know who he is? Look him up, I ain’t getting into my opinions on him here…..

So anyways Spiderman puts on his suit inside out because he had green paint tossed onto him earlier that he can’t get off, doctor strange gives him a wrist gauntlet that allows him to teleport any of the multiverse villains he finds into the cells in doctor stranges dungeon, so Peter goes out there and accidentally stumbles upon both sandman yes still voiced by Thomas Haden Church wooohooo, and Electro played by Jammie Fox still……..eh, yeah idk I wasn’t a huge fan of Jammie Fox as Electro in the Amazing Spiderman 1……that’s just my opinion…….anyways so sandman saves Spiderman from Electro, Spiderman tells them both that there in an alternate reality……..and well after finding Jammie Fox some cloths because he’s naked……he finds him uhh safety guard workers clothing….and he teleports both them to doctor stranges dungeon……now they have one more baddie to find and that’s Goby……strange enough aunt May calls up telling Peter that the person he’s looking for just entered the charity place she works at…….dun dun dunnnn, so Peter runs over and just to find out he’s actually just there seeking refuge and is scared……

He mentions how this works he’s in is weird, his son Harry Osborn….wooohooooo, doesn’t exist neither does Oscorp……so then aunt May convinces Peter that he should help out Norman Osborne he really needs help……so they take him to doctor stranges dungeon where he puts him in a cell and is ready to execute his plan, it’s to use this cube like thing that holding together the broken spell that Peter broke, and his plan is to send the villains all back to there dimensions…..so with the villians in a cell and Doc strange telling Peter that those villians there fate is to die in there universes….but Peter can’t allow that he feels responsible so he yanks the cube from Stevan strange and swings out of the building…….anyways so Stevan tries to stop Spiderman by using almost every trick up his sleeve including pushing his soul out of Spidermana body but somehow he still has control of his body, then he tries using the mirror dimension but Spiderman traps Steven in there by using math

Yeah that’s right doctor strange who is a great sorcery gets beaten up by a teenage boy who’s using math……jeepers did they just dumb down his character….so anyways Spiderman leaves him there in the realm handing (literally in fact lolo) then Peter returns and takes the villains to Happy Hogans apartment so he can find a cure for them…..how lovely, hey Peter can’t wait to see this go south and they try to break ur neck but how sweet…..anyways so he gets there he and Norman work on finding a cure to fix the arms on doc Oc because they got control of his mind so if they cut off that telepathic mind connection they can make doc Oc back to normal again, also Peter and Norman are working on a cure for himself to cure the goblin part of him….hmmm good luck with that can’t wait to see all this go haywire…

Anyway so they cure Doc Oc by planting a ship into his neck, also he places a thing on Jammie Fox I mean Electro to suck all the electricity out of him also he’s about to go inject green goblin but as he’s about to do so his spider-sense kicks in and senses something uh oh…..and guess who he senses? It’s goblin yeah turns out he’s evil….wow no shocker, so he tells them that they can be evil if they want we don’t need to change who they are…….so the baddies start turning on Spiderman well except for Doc Oc he tries defending Peter bur he gets electrocuted out a window…..then we get a 5 min fight scene of Peter fighting goblin ans tnis scene is intense u can see the anger coming off of Peter and u just see how wonderful of an actor William Dafoe is, he’s the perfect green goblin….heres the clip

So yeah unfortunately this fight doesn’t end well, green goblin and the rest of the villians btw including lizard man who was sitting in the truck still btw lolo how dumb……but before they leave Norman summons his Glider and tosses a pumpkin bomb exploding the building, and unfortunately aunt May dies in Peter’s arms awwww nooooo……yeah this scene was heart wrenching to watch……so yeah understandably Peter is upset, btw do u know what’s not helping? JJ Jameson spreading more false news him now saying this is proof thanks to Spiderman there’s always damage and chaos he leaves behind….hey u idiot it ain’t his fault!!

Anyway so at Ned’s aunt’s house he says to MJ I wish Peter was here ans a random portal opens up kinds because get this he stole doctor stranges ring thing that allows him to create a portal…..how wonderful, so this time he tries concentrating and saying I wish Peter was here then a portal opens which guess who comes through? That’s right it’s Spiderman but not there Spiderman no its Andrew Garfields Spiderman woooohooooo……he explains he’s from a different world but about yesterday a portal opened and he’s now in there world….uh oh we have Peter to thank for this…..so then Ned tries to summon there Peter to them again but this time a portal opens and guess who comes through? Peter Parker but not there Peter Parker it’s Toby Maguire Spiderman woohooooo….btw here’s the clip

So anyways both Peter’s tell them they know that there Spiderman needs there help so they go locate Peter on top of the roof of there school……btw this scene u can just tell how good of an actor Tom Holland is, he’s expressing upset and anger and exhausted……he’s depressed essentially, he also tells the other 2 Peter’s that it’s his fault their even here……both Peter’s do give him a peptalk by saying we understand how u feel, we both lost our uncles and when he died they said with great power comes great responsibility……surprisingly in the mcu Tom Holland Spiderman gets that moral line from aunt May before she dies…..so guess that either confirms they’re was no uncle Ben in the mcu timeline or he never told Peter that before he died……so anyways all 3 Peter’s come up with a way to cure goblin, they use there science minds to fix the cure to make it work btw Toby Maguire Spiderman says something weird he says I’ve been meaning to make a cure for Norman Osborne for a while…..uh huh, so was that before or after u killed him? Just asking because no way after he died u said ohh silly me I’ve been considering curing him….pfft get out of here

So anyways they fix the cure and they head to the Statue of Liberty which is being worked on….being given a Captain America shield….ok that’s strange and that’s saying a lot from this series…..anyways so they set up their positions, wait for the villains to come….luckily they do come well minus gobly, don’t know where he is, anyways do they get into a fight it goes on for ehhh 7 min….also Electro stole some of Tony’s tech…..lovely……anyways while this fight goes on well doctor strange returns he says he was dangling over the grand canon for 12 hours, jeepers that’s long…..but Ned points out there plan is working so Steven allows this plan to play out…….if ur wondering how this fight ends well Toby Maguire Spiderman cures sandman and Andrew Garfield Spiderman cures lizard man…..nice now there normal again, also we get stock footage of both characters btw when I mean stock footage I literally mean the scene of showing doctor Connors and Flint Marco as humans are reused footage we saw in the Spiderman movies they where in previously, wow how lazy but again I can’t blame them because covid-19, ans we all know how much that Pandemic threw everyone off for a whack….

Anyway, Doc Oc shows up and helps them out he grabs Electro and the cure and injects Electro with it so now he has no powers…..btw him and Andrew Garfield Spiderman have a reconciliation he says to Peter u where just so popular, ur a young boy who’s kind hearted…..not gonna lie I was expecting u to be black…..lolo, there’s gotta be a black Spiderman out there somewhere…..I mean hmmmmmmm….anyways so as doctor strange is about to use the cube thing to send everyone home a pumpkin bomb comes flying out of nowhere landing in the cube blowing it up which causes multiple purple rifts to open up in the air yikes……then gobly comes flying down in his new outfit which is just his torn up outfit with a brown belt, a purple Hoodie and goggles yeah I’m not a fan of this outfit between u and me they could have at least painted his face green but they didn’t do that….

So anyways gobly knocks MJ off the building and she starts falling which Tom Holland Spiderman jumps to get her but gobly comes out of nowhere and drags him away so then Andrew Garfield Spiderman goes jumping down to get here and he grabs her successfully and lands perfectly…..yeah if yall couldn’t tell this was a redemption scene for not being able to save Gwen Stacy the same way as he attempted to in the amazing Spiderman 2……awww how sad, anyways so doctor strange tries holding the portal from opening anymore releasing more people who know who Spiderman is uh oh……also Spiderman takes one of goblys bombs and places it in his Glider which explodes so they both land on the knocked over Captain America shield that’s hanging near the edge of the floor and the ocean…..btw here’s the fight scene

So now what’s left is for Spiderman to fight against gobly…..there they stand against each other btw u love this piece of dialog

Norman: poor Peter, to weak to send me home to die

Peter: no I just wanna kill u myself

Ohhh yeah so this is kinda where this film may either break u or make it for u…..because Spiderman has never been the one to stoop so low to the level of Killing people…..but keep this in mind Peter was already feeling remorse and so much stress from everyone knowing his secret ans oh yeah his friends not being able to get into college but then also he now has the whole dealing with he opened the multiverse causing havoc in his world and every other world then gobly kills his aunt the only adult figure left in his life…..so yeah understandably why he wants Norman dead….so anyways they fight which ends with Peter knocking gobly on the floor and about to stab him with his Glider he picks up but Toby Maguire Spiderman steps in and stops Tom Holland Spiderman from doing it…..so he doesn’t, but then gobly stabs Toby Maguire Spiderman gassspps……but then Andrew Garfield tosses Tom Holland the cure and he ejects Norman curing him……yayyyy I guess?

Also Toby is still alive now that’s definitely a yayy……..anyways so Tom Holland goes up to doctor strange and tells him what if everyone forgets who I am that way the portals will close and this mess will be fixed will that work? Which Steven says yes but keep in mind everyone u know everyone who loves u will forget who u are….and u can see Stevan cares about Spiderman he almost tears up….honestly this film isn’t just a one giant character development for Peter it’s also a character development for Stevan strange…..he really does change by the end of this film…..so he starts to do the spell but allows Peter to say his goodbyes he tells Ned and MJ there gonna forget who he is but he will come and tell them everything ans who he Is to them…..ugh the emotions I’m about to cry, so MJ ans him kiss then Steven does the spell so now everyone now forgets who Peter is….which btw if u sit down for 5 min and think about it, how useful is this let spell? Think of it….did this spell also erase his ID and stuff like that? Isn’t he in the system? Doesn’t the government have his name written down? What’s stopping someone from u know accidentally looking at those? This slightly falls apart when u think about it…..

Anyway so Peter heads to the Cafe where MJ is working at he’s plans to tell her who he is but he ends uo seeing how happy she is ans Ned comes in they both talk about how they got into collage….which is something Peter wanted for them so he just ends up asking for a coffee then he heads out……ughhh the emotions I’m gonna cry, so anyways the film ends with him getting his own apartment and he heads out to stop crime in his new homemade suit he made for himself…..yes finally is it just me or doesn’t this film seem like a course correction for Spiderman in the mcu? Think of it people’s complaints with him where why does he have a suit that’s given by Tony and why does it have technology in it? When Spidermans suit was never supposed to have technology it’s supposed to be homemade? Well this film is a course correction now he’s more like the comic book version of his character….

Also we get a stupid mid credit scene where we see Tom Hardys Eddie Brock at a bar talking to the bar tender and I do love this dialog, btw here’s the clip enjoy

Eddie Brock: Hulk? (Venom: yeah and u thought lethal protector was a shite name!) Yeah because it is….now tell me again about ur purple alien who loves stones…..because let me tell u pal aliens do not love stones

Lolo ok the way he describes Thanos he makes him sound like some kinda pimp who collects jewelry for a living lolo…..so then he gets yo and says maybe I do need to go talk to this Peter Parker guy and as soon as he stands up a portal opens and he telports back to his world…..which officially makes the end credit scene in Venom let there be carnage be a pointless end credit scene….I mean seriously it’s like Sony and Kevin Feigie are at odds with each other……Sony was like see guys Venom is now apart of the mcu we can now get Tom Holland vs Tom Hardy…don’t yall want that? Then Kevin Feigie be like hey u can say Venom is apart of the mcu as much as u want but uh u keep him we don’t want or need him to taint our property…..so they send him back, but he doesn’t unintentionally leave behind a bit of the Symbiote behind…..ohhhhh who cares….anyways the end

So yeah I can safely say this is one of my favorite Spiderman films I remember the hype around this film when it was coming out it was maddening….everyone was speculating everyone was excited to see there childhood characters being reprised by the actors who played them…..I miss that hype overall I highly recommend this film I’m gonna give this film a solid 10/10 give it a watch
