Antman and The Wasp Quantumania: Let’s just get into it also heres trailer I don’t care

This film was supposed to be the start off phase 5, supposed to get us all hyped for what’s to come but instead it to me failed on every level of getting me excited….let me explain how….

So in this film Scott Lang is living his life to the fullest….he’s loving his life, he has written a book about himself which tells about how he saved the universe with the Avengers blah blah that sort of shite…..and he has a daughter named Cassidy (played by Kathryn Newton) I’ll get to her in a bit and he also has a beloved girlfriend named Hope Van Dine…..anyways so one day he’s having dinner with her, Cassidy, Hank Pym and Janet Van Dine, where we see that Cassidy is a complete dick…she says yeah yeah we get it dad u saved the universe Yada Yada Yada but what have u done recently that’s important really?….wow, just wow…..hey Scott if I where u I’d slap her once just to get her to be quiet……

Anyways so then Cassidy and Hank and Hope try hiding yet fail at it that Cassidy has been creating a machine to send signals down to the quantum realm….which she shows them that they’ve been working on that…..Scott is proud but Janet being suspicious tells her to shut It off its dangerous, just then the machine opens a worm hole ans sends them through it where they get separated…..Hank and Hope and Janket together but separated from Scott and Cassidy, so when Scott and Cassidy get there they get captured by some group of creepy figures uh oh….and Hank and Hope try asking Janet what is this place which btw she just throughout this movie is being vague and saying I’ll explain later I promise, I can’t explain now plz understand…..Jesus Janet if u would just explain everything right now u could have Prob saved our group from doing the decisions that they decide to do next I’ll get to that soon…so she tells them of a guy she can take them too to ask for help So they make there way to him on some animal transportation like thing because get it, the quantum brown is weird…

Anyway so as soon as Scott and Cassidy get taken to the camp where the creepy figures take them they try feeding some ooze-like substances to Scott which Cassidy says drink the ooze…..without even explaining why…don’t worry this is when the film officially loses it for me….he drinks the ooze which now he can understand the alien’s dialect…..which one of the aliens come over and says something amongst the lines off hi oh if u want more ooze I can produce it for u…then he tries to attempt to piss…….sighhhh sorry did the film just tell us Scott Lang and Cassidy just drank an aliens piss and now they can understand their dialect? Great where at that kinda level of humor I see….so anyways they both try asking for their friends but the people are refusing to help because there homeless because a guy named Kang the Conqueror has drove them away from there homes

While this is happening, Janet and her family make It to a bar where they meet up with the guy she use to know who’s now a dictator of the world played by Bill Murry of all people btw this is what I hate….the trailers made it look like his role would be important to this film that he will have tons of screen time…nope instead he only gets 5 min of screen time where he tries to take them in to Kang the Conqueror then Janet and her family set a distraction by letting loose a giant octopus alien which starts attacking Bill Murry….well he just exited this film as quickly as he was introduced

So anyways on the ride out in Bill Murrys ship Janet explains what’s happening….lets summarize it up, back when she was stuck in the quantum realm some guy named Kang came crashing down, played by Jonathan Majors….anyways he tells her he needs her help to rebuild his vehicle that he came crashing in and he can take her back home so she helps build the ship but as soon as she’s about to put the power orb in the chair she touches it and sees all of Kangs past, where she senses Kang destroying many many many universes so she asks who he is so he says he’s Kang the Conqueror and puts on his true outfit a purple ans green outfit with a purple cape, so he asks her for the orb and to join him then he can go Conquer the universe btw he was banished down here by the court of Kangs keep that in mind …so she destroys the orb which it causes an explosion rift which can be closed if they go into the core and shrink the orb back down to small size….save that for later

Anyway so Scott and Cassidy tells the town people they’re looking for Janet which they recognize that name and they say u gotta leave now he will be coming for her and u….then guards come and start arresting the homeless people and a big giant head in a chair comes out of nowhere named MODOK which stands for Mechanized Organism Designed Only For Killing…….oh and to no one’s shocker he reveals to Scott that he is yellow jacket….yeah remember that villian from thr first antman film? Yeah turns out now he has a huge head because he got sucked down here and his head size altered alot so he got rebuilt by Kang and now works for Kang and he no longer goes by the name Darren but the name MODOK…..which now brings me up to my 2 main issues up with this film MODOK becomes the butt end of every joke every scene he’s in no one takes him seriously….antman insults him by saying multiple times wait shouldn’t ur name be called MODOFK not MODOK? Oh ha…….ha….ha kill me oh look aren’t we clever where pointing out something that’s obvious pffft oh and there’s there’s the running joke of Darren being called Darren by Scott but he’s refusing to answer to that name….comedy everyone

So he takes them to Kang where they get put into a cell, Kang comes and asks Scott for help he offers to give Scott more time he missed with his daughter if he helps which Scott says no….so then Kang starts shocking Cassidy and says if u don’t help me ill kill ur daughter and everyone u love so get me the orb so I can leave thus place….so great the trailers lied because the trailer basically said he decides to help because he believes Kang can and will give him a second chance with Cassidy when she was a kid which he misses out on because he was stuck for 5 years in the Quantum realm….nice thanks trailer for lying

Anyways so they take him to the big giant orb explosion they tell him to shrink down in there to retrieve the orb….once he gets down there multiple of thousands if clones of him starts appearing so Darren sorry I mean MODOK tells him that down there its wonky, that the orb messes with peoples atoms…..something like that so the multiple thousands of antmans try stacking each other up to let Scott Lang get up to the orb but the pile collapses and as soon as our Scott is about to drown in himself…..Wasp comes out of nowhere and saves him oh and they grab the orb…..uh oh So Kang forces Scott to give it to him…..then Janet tries to stop Scott but uhh let’s see Kang is handed the Orb which then he says we had a deal about u giving me my daughter back then he says she’s better off without u so he tosses him off a cliff then takes Janet and Cassidy with him, puts Cassidy in a cell….forces Janet to see him kick start his plan to get out of here…..and as for Hope and Hank well MODOK deals with Hank and they think Hank dies because MODOK tosses the ship there in onto the floor…..uh oh

But luckily Hope goes and rescues Altman ans Hank shows up on his ants who are ginormous here btw turns out him And his ants been keeping in contact through his ear piece….bta get this the ants went through a different portal which gave them like few week head start so they started building a civilization down in the realm…..uh huh ok then

So then antman turns big, they catch up to Kang…..the homeless people come to fight against Kang because Cassidy sends out a message for everyone to fight against Kang…..so a huge battle happens which Janet joins in and knocks the orb away from Kang, destroying it and any possibility of him getting of this planet…….so Kang then goes down there to thr battle starts shooting lasers out of his hands and as soon as the team is struggling to fight Kang the group of ants come in piling onto Kang but he puts a force field around him but guess who comes out of nowhere to help? Darren, yeah turns out he’s now good because little earlier Cassidy says to him he doesn’t have to be a dick which he says then who should I be if not a dick……sigh level of humor everyone

So he breaks through Kangs shield and Kang gets piled on by ants….Anyway Darren dies delusional he asks to Scott I always thought of u as a brother yet he never did since when did he? Then he Saya at least I did as an Avenger…..pfffffff yeah buddy sure u did, I did like how everyone says uuuuuh yeah sure yep u totally died an Avenger……good riddance to this awful character….so anyways our group goes through the portal to go home….first Cassidy and Janet and Hank and Hope go through but as Scott does Kang comes out of nowhere and pushes him over then they both fight uh oh but Kang gets the upper hand and bests Scott up to a pulp heck stomps on his mask damaging it yikes…..but as soon as he is about to kill Scott Hope comes through and helps,   they shoot the orb one more time which causes a rift to open sucking Kang into it….also the portal to earth closes uh oh so looks like there both stuck there except nope because Cassidy opens a portal open for them and they come out of it

Anyway film ends with exactly the way this film opened up with Scott walking down the streets talking to himself wow did this film go anywhere? So anyways he gets a cake for Cassidy and decides to celebrate her past birthdays with her at dinner that night anyway the end…..except there’s an end credits scene and this scene is just dumb….it shows a giant room of thousands of Kangs called the court of kangs and they say Kang the is dead so now it’s our chance to take over…..and this scene doesn’t feel convincing what it feels like is I’d they asked the actor to put on different SNl clothing and start posing and doing weird faces and poses in front of a camera….the end btw this is the start to phase 5 supposed to get us excited for the Lang dynasty but all it did for me was makes me wanna be done with the MCU, guys I’m guys I’m just getting sick and tired of the MCU ever since Shang-Chi, No Way Home, far from home, Moon Knight, Ms marvel, falcon and Winter Soldier the mcu hasn’t been good since those….it’s been declining its like whoever they have writing the scripts are inept…..and with the actor who plays Kang on trial because apparently he’s abused a woman jeepers I think I might either call quitting or be more picky with the MCU so I’m gonna give this film ehhhh 2/10 skip it
