Godzilla VS Kong: so let’s start off with the trailers…..

Also I wanna start off with saying this ones gonna be a bit of a shorter review…..now before I get into it…I should give some context to this film….this film is part of a rebooted series….that started in 2014…with the Godzilla film…..BTW that was a bad film…..Godzilla barley appeared in his own film…and that was like an almost 2 and a half hour film….lord that’s long….then in 2017 we got King Kong….I didn’t see that film…nor do I have any interest in seeing it….then in 2019 we got Godzilla King of monsters …here’s my honest opinion on that film….I fell asleep…thats right….and I don’t usually fall asleep during a film…so that should tell u something….the problem was the film didn’t have an interesting plot and kinda felt like a dull film to me…now this brings us to Godzilla VS Kong…and may I say….I actually liked this movie….I didn’t feel bored nor did I want to turn it off….that might have to do with this is a short film….thats right this is the shortest film out of this series….this film comes in at 1 hour and 50 min…and thats if ur not counting the end credits…then its under 1 hour and 50 min long….so let’s get onto the plot

• so in this film we see Godzilla attack a company (i forget the name of the company…its something rich company that produces high-tech stuff for the city) so they think Godzilla has turned evil….so the government hires some people…including a woman with a deaf girl….to go and find King Kong…and bring him to the center of the earth…where a secret weapon is at so he can use to fight against Godzilla…….oh also Millie Bobby Brown is back in this from…from the last Godzilla film….which was Godzilla King of Monsters….in this film she teams up with her friend and go find a Podcaster who is a middle aged black dude who works at the rich company, he also tried to uncover the secrets that company is holding….to be honest I really didn’t care about that side story….it was dumb….basically the podcast guy is the comic relief character….thats if u even find him funny…….now I should point out…for a film called Godzilla VS Kong….they only fight 2 times…..oh and get this if any of u are Godzilla fans….u probably won’t like this film…..he only appears in this film for 4 scenes….2 of which are short scenes…..yeah Kong gets more screen time……oh joy…….anyways I’ll admit it, i liked the relationship between the deaf girl and Kong…..he cares about her…and she cares about him…..he can communicate with her….he knows sign language…..she be the only reason why he isn’t breaking loose of his chains….that the military tied him down with on a military boat….reason….to travel to the center of earth…for a secret weapon for Kong to use……anyways I think its quite obvious….the head guy in charge of the company is evil….now before u ask how complex is he….he’s not….his whole thing is…well hey I’m rich and somewhat greedy so im evil…….sigh….anyways if ur wondering when Godzilla and King Kong fight…well there first fight is in the middle of the film…there still heading to the center of the earth….and Godzilla comes out of the waters and starts attacking them……yikes……after this fight they head to the center of the earth……they have to take him to the snowy mountains…because there’s a hole to the center of earth there….they go through it with Kong…..in there they land in a different world with a bunch of monsters……ill admit this was a nice scene…it was visually appealing……anyways they find a throne room…..inside the room Kong finds a big axe….that apparently can hold radiation and or fire from Godzilla mouth……oh nice…….as in it can absorb his flames……..sweet….anyways we find out one of these government woman character is bad as well…this specific woman government person is the daughter of the villian….shocker….yes I forget her name because she’s that generic…..she takes a sample of the core of the ground that is being powered by radiation…..turns out her father needs it to power up his Mecha-Zilla…..oh right forget to mention…he been secretly building a Mecha-Zilla…this is why Godzilla attacked his company…..because he doesn’t want to be killed or better yet replaced…so in short words….Godzilla isn’t the bad guy….its this corporate prick…whos the bad guy…..oh and don’t worry Millie Bobby Brown character and podcast guy already figured this out…heck they are being help captive by evil corporate guy…..also forget to mention the bad guys company is in Tokyo….so now Godzilla is heading to Tokyo…i swear that was done on purpose…because thats where the original Godzilla films took place in…so thats a clever call back…so Godzilla heads there and starts shooting fire into the ground….turns out he burnt a hole to the center of the earth….where Kong is in….after Kong kills the evil corporate guys dsugher….he jumps through the hole…all the way to Tokyo…and he starts fighting Godzilla…BTW this fight scene is great….slot of the town gets destroyed….all admit it….the director made clever uses out of them fighting….like at one moment Kong grabs a crane and tosses it at Godzilla…or Kong grabs a satellite onto of a building and uses it as a shield against Godzilla flames….dang this was a cool fight…….but anyways the fight ends with King Kong getting knocked on the ground…..no Godzilla doesn’t kill Kong…he leaves him there…..oh and evil bad guys powers up Mecha-Zilla…..but guess what Mecha-Zilla turns on his master and now has a mind of its own….great….so he breaks out of the lab and that leads to bad guys death……so now its time for Godzilla VS Mecha-Zilla….and holy shite this scene is epic………basically w Godzillas fighting to the death….shooting lazers at each other…..oh if ur wondering the colors of Mecha-Zilla lazors…..its red…..why of course it is…..anyways Millie Bobby Brown character and the Podcaster try turning off the Mecha-Zilla…..they end up spilling alcohol ok the controls which does damage the Mecha-Zilla a bit…….then kong wakes up…well he first has to be given a jolt to the heart because his heart rate is slowing down….in other words he almost died….uh oh……so anyways he wakes up grabs his axe…the deaf girl asks him to stay safe…..he goes and helps Godzilla fight against Mecha-Zilla……this was also a great fight…..anyways Godzilla powers up Kongs…axe….by shooting fire at his axe…..and Kong uses the axe to damage Mecha-Zilla…..anyways fight ends with Kong breaking off Mecha-Zilla head and tossing the head away…..and thats it…Mecha-Zilla is defeated……Godzilla and Kong defeated bit robot….and Godzilla leaves Kong…he goes back into the ocean…he basically leaves on good terms with Kong…..maybe some respect for Kong…..in a way……..the end……honestly I really did like this film…..I didn’t fall asleep….it didn’t bore me…it was the right amount of length……its on HBO Max for a month until end of April….so I’d recommend go and watch the film….im gonna give this film a solid 8.8/10
