Shazam: im gonna start off with saying this is by far my all time favorite DCEU film…..such a funny film…..its a comedy…….now before u say oh a comedy…that can get annoying….well here’s the thing for a comedy…this film can and does get dark and a bit depressing……let me explain….but first heres the trailer….

As u can see this film looks and is extremely funny….in case some of u don’t know who Shazam is…well to give a brief summary of him…..he’s a 15 year old teen who gets superpowers….every time he says Shazam…he turns into an adult…also his powers is shooting lightning, super strength, and fly, and some speed…..he’s basically like superman……but what i like is he is not perfect…I mean think about it…would really a 15 year old know how to handle superpowers?….no realistically they wouldn’t…and would use there powers for juvenile reasons……also I have to give it to Zachary Levi….he does a great job acting and portraying and 15 year old…..I always find it funny when in films a grown up adult has to act like he has the mind of s teen or a kid….its not the first time we seen this …..we saw this in Jumanji welcome to the jungle and Jumanji the next level……honestly that tactic worked there…and it works here with Shazam….so anyways we start off with showing a kid named Sivana……we see he and his brother and father are in a car…during a snow storm….we can clearly see his father and brother hate him…for some reason…they treat him like shite….anyways Sirvana picks up and item….it Teleports him to another place….there he meets an old wizard named Shazam…..he has Sirvana go through a test to see if he’s worthy…the test is font touch the orb that has evil demons in it…..he almost does touch it…which proves he aint worthy…so the wizard gets stern and tells him he aint worthy……Sirvana wakes back up in his car…….he tries telling his family….but they scream at him…they get into a car crash……and while there injured….Sirvana brother yells at him telling him its all his fault…..Jesus where only 5 min into this film and its starting on a sour note…..so in this film we get introduced to our main character Barry Batson…..he’s a 15 year old teen who’s looking to his mother he got separated from….when he was a small kid……so anyways he gets adopted by a guy named Victor (played by Cooper Andrew’s)…..yes the guy who plays Jerry in the walking dead…..so anyways at his new home he meets his new siblings Pedro,  Darla, Eugene,  Mary, and Freddy (played by Jack Dylan Grazer) ….yes actor who played Eddie in IT 2017…so anyways……Sirvana opens a portal to the wizard dimension….as u can see with this clip….

Oh also forget to mention…..he disintegrates one of his men who works for him…..Jesus christ

…….and he steels the orb…which now he has the 7 deadly sins in him….uh oh….now he has powers….similar to Shazam….so he goes and uses his powers to kill his father and brother……who are in a board meeting….and oh boy this scene is grim……enjoy

Yeah yikes…….he lets the 7 deadly sins eat all those people in that room…….um again this is a comedy film……Jesus lord….this can get dark….this scene played out like a horror scene in my opinion……so anyways one day Barry gets Teleported to the wizard…when he enters a train…..he is given the Shazam powers…..because the wizard is dying and he needs someone to stop Sirvana….so now he can turn into an adult when he says Shazam!…….so his adult form is played by Zachary Levi……and here’s when we get to my favorite parts of the film….let me show u my first favorite scene

藍藍…..I just really love how Freddy starts recording Shazam getting shot……and then Shazam hands the criminals back there gun and says yes shoot me again here u go……藍藍……..and I like the name Freddy gives Shazam….captain sparkle fingers…..臘‍♂️藍藍藍…..I also want to show u guys another of my favorite scenes….it always cracks me up….

…..anyways so skipping quite a bit ….Shazam is doing juvenile stuff….he accidentally shoots a tire off a bus….he saves the bus….but then doctor Sirvana comes in and starts attacking Shazam….because the deadly sins want him to kill Shazam….

God I love this part…..Shazam tossing toys at doctor Sirvana….like a batman toy that says im batman…..as we can see Shazam is failing at fighting……because he’s never fought…….so anyways after this encounter…..he leaves and dies locate his mother whos living in an apartment…..and we now get the hard truth……wait for it….she abandoned him on purpose, because she didn’t want to take care of a kid anymore…..my god this movie is tense….I mean seriously that’s this film giving us a soccer punch…..well this scene made me tear up a bit……..so anyways now getting to the third act……Sirvana goes to Barry’s home and holds his sibling hostage…..so Shazam comes and Sirvana wants him to give him his powers……thats right Sirvana wants Shazams powers…..yes he is willing to do it to save his family…..they go to the Shazam realm……luckily our main characters escape…..and head to a carnival….forget to mention this film takes place during Christmas…..I think it adds to the feel good tone of this film……so anyways Sirvana gives Barry one more chance to relinquish his powers…but instead he has his siblings touch his hands…….he tells them to yell his name and they all say…..”Barry!”…….hahahahahahahahha…..I should clarify he meant for them to say Shazam….but all he said was say my name…..so of course they would think he means say his name…..God I love this film its historical…..so now they all turn into Shazam…..its the Shazam family……now his siblings face against the 7 deadly sins…while Shazam fights against Sirvana..

Hahahahah….I just love how their both flying over a loud city…..and Sirvana is doing a evil monolog…but as we see Shazam can’t hear him…so he starts saying…what I can’t hear u…were over loud cars and people……hahahahahahahahha…..guys im not over  Exaggerating….I really love this film…..its one of by far my favorite DCEU film…..I always love a good comedy…and this film delivers on the comedy…..so anyways fight ends with Shazam taking out the orb out of Sirvana eye ball……ewwww…..ill admit this made me cringe and made my muscles tighten up a bit …..anyways day is saved…….they now defeated Sirvana….they also make that wizard dimension there lair……the end……oh and there’s a post credit scene and u have to see it……

Ok im gonna hold in my laughter don’t worry….but Jesus lord i laugh at this scene all the time…..I mean seriously….its of Shazam trying to talk to a fish in a bowl…and he basically makes fun of Aquaman…he says “even if I can talk to fish…what would be able to do with this powers that would be cool?”…….”idk maybe command a army of billions”……”oh yeah…..buts still not cool”………hahahahahahahahha…..nice one Shazam….u did it….u poked fun at the Aquaman movie…..thumbs up……….I can’t take it anymore I think I’m going to have a heart attack if I laugh anymore…yeah sorry been laughing my butt off while writing this review…..I hope they make a Shazam 2….this was a great film….I highly recommend it….oh I do want to show some deleted scenes….1 of which I wish they kept in the film….

Ok now onto my rating of this film….I really recommend this film….its on HBO Max…..give it a watch…..its only 2 hours and 11 min long…..u won’t be disappointed….im giving this film a solid 10/10
