I’m gonna start off with saying this is actually a pretty dang good decent wolverine film…although its PG-13…it kinda pushed the limits…its brutal, everything i expect out of a wolverine film….here’s the trailer for the wolverine 

I’ll start off with saying one thing I liked about this film…well minus it being brutal but brutal enough to stay in the PG-13 barriers….its the fact this film takes place in Japan….I actually liked it, its a nice change from the other films in this series….so the plot of this film is, we see that wolverine is living in the woods…he wants to be away from society and from the x-men,  because of recently he lost someone he loved…named Jean Grey…it will makes sense when I get to the last stand….anyways one day some hunters come and kill a bear….great …and thats pisses off wolverine…he puts the poor creature out of its misery…and he goes and encounters the hunters in a bar…and what I have to say is one of the most brutal moments in this film…he took the arrow out of the bear and brought it to the bar and he finds the hunters and stabs the poisones arrow into the hunters hand….yikes…the guy pit his had on the table and wolverine impaled it with the arrow…and he starts pouring alcohol onto the guys wound and arrow….so he can feel pain…till he apologized for killing a bear..well shite…thats intense….anyways a red haired Japanese woman comes in, named Yukio (played by Rila Fukushima) ….her mutant powers is she can see the future….cool ability also she’s really good at using a Katana…so if ur wondering whys she’s there…she says her father is dying of old age and he wants to thank wolverine in person, for saving him all those years ago during a war….yes we do get to see that time wolverine saved this guy….we get a back flash….apparently right before the city he was fighting in was getting nuked…wolverine comes out of nowhere and grabs the soldier and tosses him down a well and places a bit sheet of metal on the guy to protect him from the explosion…while wolverine is sitting on top of him holding down the metal…yes wolverine does get burnt…before u ask do we see that….yes….yes we do…we see him fully burnt…..christ this is PG-13 right?….yes it is…as stated this film pushed the limits for PG-13…so I must give them props…..also after he saved this guy he tries giving wolverine a katana….sadly wolverine doesn’t except it….ah well…so they head to Tokyo,  wolverine is forcefully given a bath and a haircut and a trim on his beard…..before he’s allowed to go see the dying man….so during his conversation with the old man…he tells wolverine he wants to give wolverine the death he’s been dying for….pun not attended….also wolverine looks over at his heart monitor and sees there is a small metallic like parasite covering the guys heart….keep that in mind because it comes back into play later…..so anyways wolverine doesn’t except this guys offer,  of taking away his powers….also after this he bumps into Yukios sister named Mariko…..and we see her get slapped by her future husband and she goes to and edge of a cliff and tries to commit suicide…..Jesus lord….if ur wondering can this film get any more intense…Will get to that later…..so now the old man dies…..next day there is a funeral,  wolverine attends the funeral…..so anyways at the funeral we see this archery guy named Kenuichio….im just gonna call him Japanese Hawkeye…..because he does the same thing Hawkeye does…which is using bow and arrows…..anyways some mafia people start attacking wolverine…I forget why….also he follows Mariko,  who boarded a train…..I forget why ….oh wait he followed her to protect her…and it leads to a favorite scene of mine

Yeah this is a great scene….its a great fight on a train…also before this we do find out that wolverine wounds aren’t healing ….uh oh…..he usually has regenerating powers…..so after this him and Mariko….go on the run….and we do cut to the old guys nurse who’s name is Viper…..and turns out she hired Kenuichio to hunt down Mariko….so he’s somewhat evil…..yikes…also we see viper has power’s….she spread poison into people’s wounds from her tongue…..because she’s a viper……get it…..…..also we find out she did something to wolverine healing powers…..uh oh……so anyways while Mariko and wolverine hide out at a safe home…..Mariko does get kidnapped….so then here comes Yukio….now her and wolverine team up….they go and get information out of Mariko husband……but before that . Yukio tells wolverine she’s concerned about him because she say a vision of wolverine dying with blood everywhere,  and him holding his heart in his own hands….uh oh….keep this in mind….so anyways they go inside and get information from the douchebag of a husband…..turns out Mariko was taken back to her father…anyways they go back to the old man’s home…and wolverine is now curious why he can’t heal…so he goes onto the machine the old man was laying on, and he scanned his insides…and sees the same parasite in his heart….uh oh….ok im gonna start u this scene but this scene is kinda brutal…he cuts open his chest and digs his hand into his chest and pulls the parasite out of his heart and yes his hand has blood all over it. .and yes we do see his chest being cut open , but not bloody enough to be rated R…again yikes….as stated this film Is tense and they pushed the limits…..for a PG-13…..anyways now wolverine wakes up and he starts fighting Mariko father right before he tries killing Yukio…..yes while wolverine was doing surgery on himself …..Mariko father comes in and tries attacking his second daughter….Yukio…..

Ok this is another favorite scene of mine

” who the hell are you?”….”the wolverine”…..so as we see wolverine stabs the guy in the chest…..its a bit tense but thats it…..not tense enough to be rated R…..so anyways he goes off to save Mariko…..with Yukio…..and well wolverine gets captured…….and viper tells him what the plan is…while wolverine is looking over at a big silver samari machine sitting in the corner of the room….so anyways wolverine breaks out of his restraints…..Japanese Hawkeye helps them out, because he has a change of heart…..a fight happens between between wolverine and silver samari…..anyways silver samari cuts off all of wolverine claws…..uh oh…..oh if ur wondering what happened to viper……well she dies….I forget how, and Japanese Hawkeye dies by getting killed by silver samari……ooooohhhhh…..so anyways wolverine is able to cut off the head of the giant robot….and well after that wolverine falls out of a hole in the wall…but silver samari grabs him and we finally get to see who’s inside the suit….its the old man……shocker…..anyways he wants to drain wolverines ability so he can heal himself…..

Anyways so he starts draining wolverines abilities by sticking drills through wolverines cut metal claws…..anyways right before wolverine gets possible killed,  Mariko comes up behind her grandfather, and she’s holding wolverines claws…she tosses one of it to her grandfather head and then she stabs him in the throat with the other one…while she says I buried my grandfather…….yikes……oh and wolverine does still have claws….its his bone claws not his metal ones…and he uses them to stab the guy in the chest and drag him towards the hole in the wall and tosses him out of it onto the mounting there on top of

“U asked me to come say goodbye…..sayonara”……….hahahahahahahahha …..thats a great line and scene….so anyways the day is saved….and the film ends with Mariko in charge of the company…and wolverine heads onto a plane…somewhere….with Yukio…and thats how the film ends…also there is an end credits scene where wolverine is at the airport and he sees magneto behind him (played by Ian McKellen) and he tells wolverine he and Charles needs his help to take on an evil that is coming…and then Charles appears behind wolverine…showing him he is still alive…..so anyways now the film. Is done….ok im gonna say I really loved this film its a great film I recommend it….its on Disney plus…..ill give it a solid 9/10
