Firstly I wanna mention that this show is indeed an anime…..and it’s really good…..heres the trailer

I’m gonna give yall 2 warnings firstly warning there’s gonna be slightly massive spoilers and secondly if any yall have epilepsy and are prone to seizures then don’t watch those trailers and don’t watch this show because dear lord this show is best way to describe it…..it’s loud very bright and tons of stuff happens….so yeah don’t watch it if u have epilepsy…..there’s just tons of batshite things going on in this show

Btw I wanna quickly mention u slightly might be better off watching this show in the Japanese dub because ok im gonna try to best describe this without sounding offensive sorry if I come off offensive my bad…..truly, but u know how a lot of animes are like right? Where everyone is screaming loud like yakami!!! Yughhhhhhh!!! Ahhhh!! I’m basically trying to mimic the noises I’m hearing because I don’t speak Japanese and when I hear screaming on these anime shows that’s all I really hear…so I decided to change it to the English dub and let’s just say oh boy it’s not the worst but it ain’t the best either because the way they speak in the English dub especially Maine the black guy kinda speaks like this in the  show btw keep in mind this isn’t what they say no I’m giving an example of how they kinda sound like yo dawg where peeps man at? I need to go hang with my peeps  yo man David how u been dawg…..I literally Said do u know I’d rather go back to the Japanese dub because at least the nonsensical over the top screaming was making me laugh

I mean come on the English dub is not great……Yo David how u been man? Btw that’s a white man who says that to our main character? Yeah why does….idk is it just me or does this sound like they just had the English actors do some fake urban accent?

Btw another thing I should mention if anyone is wanting to watch a show that will give them piece and quite yeah oh boy this show isn’t meant for u then because this show is just everywhere……tons of nudity, sex scenes and furthermore just loud music and I just don’t mean loud music I mean like loud guitar music playing in scenes especially when it’s scenes of people just sitting around….btw the guitar music seems like a mix between punk rock and heavy metal….yeah this is how loud the show is oh and if the show isn’t loud in that sense there’s also the fact the show has tons of over the top explosions and shooting and fighting along with bodies exploding, blood and anime running….bright colorful colors as well…people shooting people’s heads into pieces yuck….blades coming out of people’s arms and them slicing people in half and all that….yeah best way to describe this shoe is if u don’t have epilepsy before going into this show well u will surely have epilepsy coming out of this show that’s for sure….

BTW yall want an example of this show being to weird…..well there’s literally a character who’s basically a cartoon, this guy has a Mohawk and can bend his limbs in abnormal positions….he’s always wailing his arms around and as for the weird positions well he can bend his arms all the way under his crouch……yeah I did say weird right? Aleo this character is Rebecca’s brother, yeah clearly the apple didnt fall far from the tree lolo…Now onto the review shall we

So in this show, we focus on our main character named David Martinez, and his life at the moment, well is he goes to school to get a career also students are picking on him because  they dont believe he belongs there they be like oh how dare u be here even though  u earned ur way here u ungrateful teenager now go back home and hide behind ur mommy….u know like that and his mom takes care of him btw if u couldn’t tell already, also she works as a nurse……btw they don’t have a luxury life they live in the slumps part of the city of cyberpunk…..all is going kinda eh well until one day his mom drives him to school and a group of Cyber-Psychos come driving out on motorcycles and attack them….leading there car to crash uhh ohhhh….

So he goes to an underground illegal hospital he gets healed up and unfortunately his mother dies….ohh nooo, so they give him his mother’s ashes in a jar which he takes home and display her…..thats depressing, also the yellow jacket he wears in this show is his mom’s ambulance jacket thats depressing  and he sprays a green symbol on the back of it…..anyways so eventually he gets hired by a group called the Edgerunners who is a team of people who are named 

Lucyna Kushinada (who becomes the love interest basically)

Rebecca (the Harley Quinn type character of the group, and trust me when I say this she’s one of the best characters in this show….she’s the one who has range of emotions, anger, craziness, sadness….btw her character design is weird she’s got red eye balls and pig tails also robo hands)

Maine (this tall bulky dude with a buzz cut, who is kinda the leader of the group)

But they do work for a business man named Faraday……btw this guy’s design is slightly nuts, on his right eye he has 3 eye balls in a row downwards…..yeah I did say weird so anyways our main characters do jobs for the business man because there forced to….so throughout this show we do get good character development, our 2 main leads fall in love….of course the female lead is broken mess btw, anyways also of course Rebecca continues to be the best character in this show……she’s just great, also near the end of this show Maine dies that was a sad moment also throughout this show our main character Martinez get tons of cybernetics upgrades which he gets warned if he does to much it will become to dangerous for the human body…..keep that in mind later…..btw it’s established in this show if someone gets way to many cybernetics they become what’s known as cyberpsychos……they basically they loose all form of sanity and kill and kill people, Jesus 

Anyway so near the end of the show we get some of the best stuff in my opinion so Martinez turns his body into a giant mech and they go to the towers to take down there boss anyways he does take down the boss but guess who shows up that’s right it’s Adam Smasher…..and it’s time to mention something I still believe that Adam Samsher was a weird pick for the main baddie of the game because we get little to nothing about but this show does him justice it makes him intimidating and menacing….this show does hint at him earlier…..the guy who was giving Martinez his cybernetics did talk about Adam Smasher being the boogeyman……btw here’s the footage of him in this show

Adam Smasher: who the Fuck are u?

Lololo I find that to be funny because yeah who’s he to him….anyways so Adam Smasher and Martinez fight because Martinez wants to kill him to make a name for himself in history basically……btw this ending is sad, Adam Smasher kills Rebecca by smashing on top fo her when they continue the fight outside reason they do so is because Martinez and his girlfriend fall out the building and Rebecca joins so does Smasher but he jumps on her…..crushing her anyways so Martinez sends his girlfriend to leave while he stays and fights….she gets dragged on a helicopter to safety while Martinez is duking it out bur unfortunately Adam Smasher is 10 times better he defeats Martinez by ripping apart his cybernetics and then shoots him in the head but before that compliments him…….yeah this is a sad ending btw it makes sense to kill off these characters because it is a prequel to the game and these characters aren’t in the game…..

Still its a sad ending anyways so the show ends with his girlfriend finally going to the moon and ends up hallucinating Martinez up there because he did promise her that he’d take her to the moon one day because it was her dream to go up there……gosh this ending hurts it makes me feel emotional….

It’s sad because Martinez wanted badly to prove to the world he can be great heck he replaced his Jody with cybernetics to makes himself better but that turned out to be his downfall at the end of it all….he got blinded by wanting to be famous and he died

..anyways I really recommend this show trust me it’s an emotional blast…..btw there’s tons of gore in this show like tons of it, it’d over thr top anime gore btw so just thought I’d give that warning, btw they did give an update to cyberpunk 2077 where it’s called cyberpunk Edgerunners update where it added guns from the show….u can get Rebecca’s gun also u can get Martinez yellow jacket from the show from completing a side quest also dome NPCs reference the characters from the show now btw that was sweet that they added that to this game….

Btw I wanna give another compliment to this show it really captures the feeling of the world of cyberpunk down to a T…..I absolutely got to give credit to the Director and creators they nailed the cyberpunk town and world down correctly heck they didn’t retcon anything they kept the lore intact I love that….there’s definitely fan service in this game btw this is a great anime show

So overall I’ll give show a solid 10/10 it’s a blast I recommend it….it’s on Netflix btw the dialog is in Japanese but u can change it to English if y’all want
