So where do I start well let’s start at the beginning so in this film, which btw I forget to mention that the casting is perfect in this film the actors they picked did a really great job portraying the characters in live action…..anyways so this film starts off with the gang setting a trap at a warehouse for the Luna ghost who has captured Daphne because she’s just the damsel in distress at this point……well that’s what this is making fun of because in the early cartoons she always was for some reason….anyways so after some fumbling around they do knock out the Luna ghost and a bunch of paparazzi people come in which Fred takes all the credit for this plan instead of giving any credit to Velma who came up with the plan uh oh and then they unmask the Ghost who turns out to be a janitor named old man Smithers…..whos a creepy old man and get this…heres why he did all this because he’s bitter when a young 30ish year old girl named Martha who btw is one of the paparazzi there refused to go out with him……ehhhhhhkkkk…….

So after this, the mystery gang has an argument which ends with them quitting and separating from each other but the only 2 who do stick together is Shaggy and Scooby-Doo…..how sweet so they take the mystery van and ride away….

Sad and feeling left alone since their friends just abandoned them…..anyways years later some guy comes up to Shaggy and Scooby-Doo to there van and gives them an invitation to a theme park island named spooky Island, how convenient…..and they get convinced to go because there told there be alot of food there and we all know how obsessed these 2 are with foods

Anyway at the airport apparently the entire gang got invited well this is strange…….oh if ur wondering how scooby got on the plane since no dogs allowed well he dressed up as a aunt…..don’t ask how no one noticed he was a dog….lolo So anyways they get to the island where they meet the owner of the island named Emile Mondavarious played by Mr Bean himself….and let me take a moment to just point out at no point in this film could I take him seriously as the main villain….oooopps spoiler alert but who cares this is a nearly 17 year old film but yeah no way I could buy him as the villain I mean it’s freaking Mr. Bean….he also played Johnny English….both are goofy roles, anyways so he tells the gang why they where invited its to investigate why some of the island teens are turning into well massive douchebags who have hulk-like strength….ok that’s weird 

Anyways let’s skip over a bit so on this island during a night performance that Velma attends she meets the show host who’s named N’ Goo Tuana…..and let’s just mention him quickly this guy in my honest opinion has got to be one of the most stupidest looking attempts of making an intimidating right hand man I’ve ever see ….this guy doesn’t look menacing…..I mean here I’ll try describing him, he’s bald, has tattoos on his head, wears a orange vest with no sleeves, has no shirt on so his belly is exposed, has a tattoo of a heart on his chest, his stomach looks like he’s one way close to having a gut….yeah no abs just a gut, he wears black pants and boots, and has 2 golden rings on each arm…..plus throughout this movie, his facial expression looks like it’s a mix between constipation and frowning…..yeah u try telling me that’s intimidating…..good luck….also we get introduced to the left-hand man named Zarkos who’s a Lucidora wrestler I wish I was joking……

So the gang I say gang very loosely because there still split start investing the island….they all at the same time somehow investigate a creepy castle where they find a triangle shaped thing in a cage which Velma takes to study it……anyways that night at the bar Velma is just studying the random triangle thing that looks important…….right in front of everyone in public…. anyways Velma reads the transcriptions on the thing and finds out the name of the object is called the Daemon Ritus …..ohhhhh such an ominous name……which then a guy comes and sits near Velma and she tells him about the story of Scrappy Doo……oh boy him

Now I bet yall remember who Scrappy Doo is? The annoying little cousin of Scooby-Doo…..who btw keep in mind no one was ever a fan of him within the Scooby-Doo fan base, like at all…..he’s just so annoying, so it doesn’t come to a shocker that in this film he’s a piece of Shite, I mean we see him in this back flash peeing on Daphne uh eww, so the gang decide to toss him on the side of the road….abandoning him basically, yayyyy….and I wonder if this will become relevant to the syory in any way, hmmmm?

Anyways so a bunch of monsters come crashing into the building…..grabbing and snatching people along with Emile Mondavarious…..and Freddy and Velma and Daphne…..uh oh…

So who’s left u may ask? Well of course it’s Shaggy and Scooby-Doo plus Shaggys girlfriend named Mary Jane he met on the plane ride which I forget to mention……anyways the next day all the people return but there little off including Fred and Velma and Daphne….they aren’t talking like there normal selves and especially Fred who’s saying yo yo yo what’s my my man…..oh and once Shaggy and Scooby-Doo find it weird that there talking like that well we find out what happened uh there possessed by the monsters uh oh……also Scooby-Doo figures out Mary Jane is possessed as well but Shaggy won’t believe Scooby-Doo for some reason so they get into a fight which leads Scooby-Doo falling into a trapdoor of some kind……

Then Shaggy goes in after him but what he finds instead of Scooby-Doo is a cave with a big pot in the middle containing human souls in them….uhhhhh including Velmas and Daphne’s and Fred’s……uhhhhh, ewww……he then releases those 3 souls and one of the funniest parts of this film happens, the souls get mixed up…..so Velma’s soul went back into Velmas body and she figures out the way to get the creatures out of a person’s body is by well sunlight and the soul going back into someone because a monster comes out of her and Daphne as well ans the curtains are open so they burn and explode…..ohhhh, oh btw Fred’s soul accidentally went into Daphne’s body and Daphne’s soul went into Fred’s lololo….so the Scooby-Doo gang meet up in the forest to catch up and we’ll show that there souls went into each other’s body….lololololo….so anyways there souls swap back into the correct bodies, then they finally figure out whoa been behind all this also who invited them here…..so we see Scooby-Doo locked in a triangle cage and guess who comes takes him out of it? N’ Goo Tuana……well closely he’s evil but he’s not the man behind this no the man behind all this is Emile Mondavarious…….

So if ur wondering wait so what’s the motivation for the bad guys this time? Because ain’t the formula for Scooby-Doo usually just a greedy person wearing a costume to scare away people or to locate and steel lost treasure? And the answer to that is yes…..but not this time, instead get this in this film on spooky Island has a cult underneath the mountains of the island….in fact it seems all the employees are part of the cult because we see the employees dressed as green glowing skeletons are apart of the cult and so are the other employees…..Emile Mondavarious is the main cult leader while N’ Goo Tuana is the right hand man….no he ain’t possessed he’s doing this of all his free will…..and so is the Lucidora wrestler guy……yeah omce again I wish I was kidding, and there plan is to well get this……have Emile Mondavarious put the Daemon Ritus on his cheT and obsorb all the souls of the people that they took the souls out of……dun dun dun, but to do so he needs one more soul and this last soul has to be a specific soul….he needs Scooby-Doos soul….dun dunn dunnnnn……yeah this is why he invited the gang to the island so he can get his hands on Scooby-Doo to use him as a sacrifice….so he can obsorb the souls and gain power…..jeepers that’s dark

So the mystery gang team up to save Scooby-Doo….yayy finally there bickering is over ….so they come up with a plan which involves them mounting a giant skull crystal head obove inside the cave so the light reflects off it to it kills the monsters when they pop out once they release the souls…..thats clever, anyways Daphne climbs up to the top to outside to pull the lever to let the sunlight come in….while Fred and Velma need to hide….also Shaggy dresses up as one of the guards to get near Scooby-Doo because Scooby-Doo at the moment is being prepped to be the sacrifice…….anyways he gets carried out and all the cult members plus the possessed people come out and start shanting and dancing…..which Fred and Velma join in to blend in……anyways Emile Mondavarious and N’ Goo Tuana and the henchmen all walk out and start the ceremony…….

Which involves N’ Goo Tuana to use a mechanical claw to grab Scooby-Doos soul out of him….jeepers, so anyways thr souls start absorbing into Emile Mondavarious and so does Scooby-Doos soul…..which is being held on by the crane……but luckily Shaggy breaks in ans grabs on the crane then knocks Emile Mondavarious onto the ground….now btw the next scene I’m gonna describe how do I say this gave me and I’m pretty sure majority of the Scooby-Doo fan base who where kids nightmares for a while, because we get a plot twist…..also I forgot to mention that originally James Gunn wanted to make this film a Rated R film with of course horror elements…..which clearly it’s obvious because this scene I’m about to describe feels like it was meant for a horror film……..also I’ll provide the clip for this scene as well….so in this scene Velma and Fred go run over to Emile Mondavarious who’s laying on the ground not moving except his jaw….as if he’s malfunctioning 

……anyways they try to remove the Daemon Ritus but it burns Velma, while that happens Fred notices a tear on Emile Mondavarious neck….revealing a lair of skin underneath so Fred thinks there’s a man underneath a mask….so he grabs ahold of the face and rips it off and no there’s not a human underneath, no instead it’s a humanoid android with a robot skull structure, very human looking eyeballs, gums and teeth….while it’s staring back at them, and his jaw just moving uncannily while repeating the words….we love u scoob we love u scoob we love u Scooby-Doo……..heres the clip

Yeah try imagining being a kid and seeing a humanoid robot underneath a human skin while the robot is staring back at the gang with human looking eyes….with eerie music playing in the background………don’t laugh it was scary for us when this came out…..granted I am not gonna laugh if anyone of yall still find that scene scary to this day….anyways the Daemon Ritus starts absorbing into the stomach which then the stomach opens up and we finally get to see who’s behind this….it’s Scrappy Doo…..wow what a shocker, btw this entire time while Scrappy Doo is reveled to be behind this….his right hand man N’ Goo Tuana looks like he’s generally surprised about this….he clearly didn’t know he was working for a manic puppy….yeah understandable…….so anyways Scrappy Doo crawls out of the robot and starts transforming into a giant mutated dog with sharp fangs…..uh oh…..so he still needs Scooby-Doos soul to finish the transformation……his plan is to annihilate the world basically, lovely……

So anyways Daphne makes it up to the top of the mountain to pull the lever but instead the Lucidora wrestler guy shows up and they both start fighting…….which btw this scene is bad ass, Daphne throughout this film says she’s been taking karate classes and clearly she has because it pulls off for her here…..anyways so while that happenening well Scrappy gets ahold of Scooby-Doo and the claw starts moving close to Scooby-Doo to rip his soul out……but luckily just in time Daphne kicks the Lucidora wrestler guy over the sun light trap door to let in the sun light into the cave…..but he’s holding on the sides so he doesn’t fall off…….and I love this part she asks now who’s a damsel in distress…which he says me?……and she says straight up, then proceeds to grab ahold of the wresting ring that’s for some reason up there surrounding the flap she’s supposed to open…..so she grabs ahold of the cord and swings herself into the air kicking the Lucidora wrestler into the flap……breaking it open casting sunlight to come in also the Lucidora wrestler falls on the side of the big pot full of souls so the souls start flying everywhere and going back into there bodies….btw here’s that scene

So now with the souls going back into the people’s bodies……..the monsters come jumping out them and the gang pulls the skull crystal out and the light reflects off it destroying the monsters……then Shaggy takes ahold of the claw and grabs the Daemon Ritus off of Scrappy Doo……releasing the rest of the souls back to the people’s bodies, oh and Scrappy shrinks back down to normal size, yayyyy, so anyways the day is saved….and they find the real Emile Mondavarious locked underneath a trapdoor, he said that dog got hired here and he decided to build a robot of Emile Mondavarious himself then take over his position then hide the real Emile Mondavarious under ground…..do then they all walk outside where the police and paparazzi is…or I’m guessing this is the next day because we see Emile Mondavarious with thr gang and he no longer has long grey hair and beard as he did when they located him……do anyways they ask Fred how they stopped and figured out that Scrappy Doo was behind all this but instead he allows Velma to describe how they figured it out….finally giving her credit…..oh btw this is the only Scooby-Doo film meant for kids that gets away with saying the word Bitch….yeah I wish I was kidding…..so u know how at the end of each Scooby-Doo episode the criminal says and I would have gotten away with it too if it wasn’t for u meddling kids and ur dog too…..well in this film the cops are locking the criminals in a helicopter and they put Scrappy Doo in a dog cage then in the helicopter and as soon as they start to close the door….this is what Scrappy Doo said, and I would have gotten away with it too, if it wasn’t for u meddling sons of a Bi***

Gassppp……well ok I guess a kids film was allowed to get away with saying that…..so yeah now the film is over….and yes I’m skipping over the part that we do get a pointless scene in the end credits of Shaggy and Scooby-Doo eating food with hot sauce and them suffering from using the hot sauce……it’s pointless….but anyways overall I do love this film I highly recommend it…..it’s not perfect by any means but still, I’ll give this film a solid 9/10
