Ohhh where do I begin with this….firstly this is an anime show just a headache up so it’s in Japanese, but if u want to put it in English u can because in the language settings on Netflix u can change it to English…btw I watched this shoe I’m English, secondly if any yall aren’t a fan of horror then this show ain’t for u…..but if u r a fan of horror especially Japanese horror then this is straight up ur ally……..oh and this show is truly weird, there’s creepy unnerving episodes but then just strange and bizzare episodes…..oh here’s the trailer enjoy

Full disclosure I didn’t know this was based on some famous horror comic series made by a guy named Junji Ito, if u do research into him and his work. I think u will find out that his work is extremely haunting, which might explain why these adaptations from what I’ve learned are a hit or a miss to the fans. Mainly a miss.

Yeah so where do I begin with this show well let’s see, in my opinion I’m mixed on this show….don’t get me wrong there are really great and disturbing episodes in this show…..I’ve counted I only liked 7 episodes out of this show, yeah that ain’t alot…..also the episodes lengths aren’t long like at all…..each episode (minus a few episodes as the exception) have 2 episodes in them and the total length for the whole episode is 23 min long…..yeah so I hope ur understanding where the disappointment comes into play……the script writers and directors tried cramming in disturbing stories into the spam of 2 episodes per episode under 23 min total……yeahhh that’s an issue…btw this show is based off a Magna comic in case yall didn’t know…..and no I never read the Magna myself so I’m just judging this show off of if it’s good or not…..anyways before I get any further into complaining, I wanna mention the names of the 7 episodes I loved the most then tell yall the run downs of them, give u my minor issues with the 5 episodes then finally end this review on the major negatives I had this with show….ok here’s the 5 episodes

Now I bet yall wondering ohhhh I’m in shivers what are these episodes about? Well thats why I’m not describing them yet I want yall to let those titles of the episodes sit in ur head for a bit….u know, anyways now let’s get into the episodes 

Hanging Ballon: So in this episode we start off with a pop singer teenager who was found hanging by a noose under a lamp post or something, yeah thats grim…..and her best friend is upset about the fact her friend might been suicidal but didn’t seem like she was, do rumors started going around the school that the girls boyfriend caused her stress and all that…..oh lovely false rumors gotta love those right? Sighhh…anyways But shortly after the country feel into despair about the pop singers demise, the conversation started shifting shortly afterwards to oh a big giant ghostly head of her has been seen floating around…….ummmmm yeah this is where the freaky stuff starts happening….

So the boyfriend calls the friend to meet him at a phone booth where he says he just say the big floating head, she gets there and sees rhe big head for herself…..it’s this giant balloon shaped human head of her deceased dead friend with a tear where the neck is…..……ummmmm yeah don’t worry it gets weirder, so then she sees the boyfriend climbing up a tree trying to apologize to the ghost but then this random noose comes out of nowhere and hangs the guy…..then it’s revealed there’s another head of him ans it comes out of the trees and both the big head balloons start banging against each other like there kissing……Jesus, so with our girls new found knowledge she tries wearing her other friends the next day but they don’t believe her until these big head balloons of all her friends comes out of the sky and grab ahold and hang 2 of her friends……yikes, then the 2 otheres run away into an alley where they call for help, a random guy opens up there window sees the commotion then grabs a crossbow….huh? Yeah I didn’t say this show was perfect, first issue it’s completely lucky they ran into an alley way and hollered out and it was lucky that the person who answered there screams so happend to have a crossbow…..

Anyways he decides to shoot one of the balloons which it starts deflating….then the girl turns to her friend and sees her friends head start to deflate……yeah if it isn’t clear enough already u can’t destroy the balloons because if u deflate it or set it on fire u the person the giant head is of will either set on fire or ur head will deflate…..jeepers that’s dark……and now I’m gonna mention my 2 issues with this episode, so we get this news person talking on TV about the fact the sky is filled with big head balloons with humans hanging dead by nooses that are hanging off the balloons, the news people tell people to stay inside….and here comes my first issue so uh tell me if u saw a giant head of urself with a noose attached to it….would ur reaction be to run away and panic? If ur answer Is yes then ur smart but clearly this show isn’t….for u see instead the news guy instead stands there’s sees a giant head of him floating to him and he says the head it looks like my head and it’s heading towards me……

Groaannnn firstly that “head” looks like my “head” and its “heading” towards me…..seriously? Enough with the puns and how about run towards inside a building…..then this leads to someone else doing something stupid….this random guy at his house is watching the news with his family and says ok im going to work….., yes yall u heard that right this guy just basically came out and said hey I know there’s murderous flying severed head balloons hanging people out there…..but I gots to get to my 9s to 5s job gotta make that cash…….just whatttt?…..no dude just stay inside and stay safe better to stay alive then go to ur 9s to 5s job and risk ur actual life…….

Oh if ur wondering how this episode ends? Well glad u ask….for u see the main characters brother goes out to buy food because he’s stupid and he doesn’t return…plus the mother steps outside to end her life oh joy, so now it’s the daughter left and she starts hearing voices of her dead family then she hears the voice of her brother….which he asks for her to open the window and she does so ……just to reveal nope he’s dead….it was the balloons talking and the episode ends with her noose moving up to her neck……and I have a few issues here’s firstly why don’t she just close the window? Why leave it open? Why stand there? Secondly are u realizing the slight issue of this shows episodes ends when the episode is getting good and interesting…..because thats what this show suffers with….very rushed and short episodes…but overall I found this episode disturbing and creative I’ll give it a solid 8.4/10

Long Hair in the Attic: Ok jeepers where do I start with this welp firstly this one is very short like extremely short……..so here it goes, so our main character of this story is a female with long hair….she just got back home from a date who also btw just dumped her saying where done hehhe …..and she says u know I grew my hair out because u use to tell me I should….he said really? I must have not been thinking……wow what a douchebag, anyways she goes upstairs and of course isn’t happy……then she goes upstairs and her sister comes to tell her there’s rats in the attic because there’s noises coming from there…….anyways next day ahe wakes up to find a dead rat tangled in her hair……yikessss……and if that’s not bad enough well she asks her sister to cur her hair for her, so while she sits in the bathroom her sister goes and finds pair of scissors and she runs back upstairs and finds a horrific site…..her sister dead blood everywhere, no head……the blood splatters look like long hair……..yikesssss……anyways the mother comes up screaming and sobbing when she sees her headless daughter……so then sometime passes and the little girl is about to go upstairs to deal with the rats but her father who has a bad heart insists on going upstairs…..oh no I totally bet he’s not gonna die at all ………anyways he doesn’t return so the daughter goes upstairs in the attic, finds his dead body….shocker, which btw looks like he’s petrified and she looks up and what she sees is horrific, a decapitated head of her sister with long long strands of hair….which then the head falls down and rolls down the attic, goes down to the door and opens it then leaves and thats how the episode ends….huh? Oh and also slight post ish credit scene we see the decapitated head went and killed her ex boyfriend….yeah thats how the episode ends, right as soon as the episode starts becoming interesting plus creepy….the show be like are u creeped out yet? Well hope so because where done here now onto next episode shall we……jeepers 

Tomb Town: Ok this episode is legit creepy AF….also this will be the last episode I’ll be giving the plot to I don’t need to give it to all the episodes I like….so anyways in this episode a guy and his sister are driving into town to meet a friend, but unfortunately on the way to this town they accidentally run over a little girl…..uh oh and they put her in there car to go take her to the hospital….but she dies so they put her in the back of there car…..to go plan to burry her….ok that’s grim…..anyways so they get to there friends place and here’s where the weirdness starts to happen…..they notice random Tomb stones placed around on the roads and all that which is weird……..anyways they get to there friends house and she tells them of why there’s Tomb stones everywhere turns out people die and uh well the Tomb stones build over the bodies somehow yeah its really weird…….

Heck they witness this when they decide to go to the hospital just for a passing to see around the city….they see doctors bringing out someone who’s dying and they place him on the road where the next day the Tomb stone starts building over him…..anyways so that night therr friends sister doesn’t return home so thr parents go out looking for her and so do the town folks and cops……uhhh ohhh if u think that’s bad our 2 main characters find out the girl they ran over was there friends sister…..uhhhhh ohhhhh, and the brother isn’t gonna tell her that no instead they gotta come up with a plan……luckily for them they find out from there friend that there’s a well where people do toss the bodies sometimes if the bodies been disrupted during the Tomb stone making period……because they believe if a dead body been messed around with then its soul can’t rest……uhhhhh uhhhh? Oh if thats not bad enough there friend starts suspecting they killed someone because she is looking in there cars window and there blood on the back seat…uhh ohhh clearly they forgot to clean that up….gold job, so now the brother thinks about admiting the truth and turning himself in….while the sister is mortified and getting sick to her stomach because of the guilt and lying….understandable…..but they plan to take the body out of the trunk and throw it down the well….

Unfortunately they open up the trunk ans the body is already in its Tomb stone changing phase uh oh so they lift the corpse out and toss it into the well but uh oh the brother gets a cut from that…..uhhhhhh, and next thing u know the ghost of thr girl comes out of thr well all rocky and deformed and she screams…..SISTER, ITS HIM….HES THE ONE WHO KILLED ME AND TRIED TO BURRY ME!!…….dun dun dun…….but luckily no one heard that but that night back at therr friends place the brother starts transforming into a rock deformed monster and that’s how the episode ends……yeah as stated when it gets intriguing it ends….but btw this episode is like a message about oh don’t lie….lying is bad, karma will catch up to u…..anyways I’m giving this episode a solid 8.6/10 worth a watch

Now I wanna quickly mention the bad things about this show….lets take a specific episode for example where I kid u not this had to be one of the worst episodes in my opinion…..so in this specific episode a giant fish washes up shore on the beach and it’s rotting away so scientists start investing it and as the skin is rotting away they find something horrific inside… a bunch of dead humans….ewww and they decide to cut the stomach open which the bodies all climb out like a bunch of parasites….yeah somehow these bodies that been missing for 7 years are still alive thats uh strange, if that’s not weird enough we don’t get any proper reactions….everyone is just standing around no panicking or screaming or running away…..oh and then the bodies start walking on all 4s in a straight line like parasites while everyone just moves out of the way like this is the red carpet or something and just huh? I guess that’s a reaction oh and if that’s not baffling enough the episode ends on the scientists saying uhh there acting like parasites…..the end….what!!!?…..just what?…..I’m sorry huh? What kinda reaction is that? No not being scared or running away? Because that be a normal reaction but no instead there reaction is uhhh duhhh there acting like parasites uhhh doooyyyyy…….God damn yeah if u can’t tell I ain’t a fan of this 2 episodes 

There are also 2 other episodes I don’t like I forget the names of them but there’s an episode where a daughter and her brother finds a stray cat brings it home and there strange brother who talks about dark and Macabre stuff is bonding with the cat….the cat starts acting strange grabbing random creatures and mutilating them….but then the weirdest thing happens when they enter there brothers room and there sitting there weird brother with the cat in his lap and the cat starts sparking electricity as if it’d Pikachu…..huh? And the other family leave the house while the weird brother is being electrocuted oh if thats not weird enough the boy survive somehow and the episode ends with him in the hospital and everyone joking saying oh looks like the cats back to normal guess it just had to get it’s lighting spark out of her….

Wow where any yall u scared because I’m just trembling if u can’t tell  God that wasn’t scary that was goofy

Then in the second episode I’m bringing up its with the same family except this time the weird kid is annoying his brother who is studying….he’s annoying him by pretending there’s a poltergeist…..In his room….so the brother decides to get a carpenter to make his walls more thick…which he does but he makes it way to small because he crames 4 rooms in his room and the episode ends with him finding his annoying brother in the walls and chasing him around like Tom and Jerry……huh? Yeah aren’t yall scared? Ohhhh so scary pffft

Honestly overall this show isn’t perfect…it has its disturbing episodes but the issue lies in thr fact the episodes are way to short like wayyyy to short and there some episodes that aren’t scary oh and people having reactions that aren’t normal……like at all….so overall I’m giving this show a solid 6.9/10 it’s worth a watch once, it’s on Netflix 

Again with the graphics not all looking the best, and them adding color in this show is what kinds hinders this show from being amazing.
