Pirates of the Caribbean dead man’s chest:

Also, let’s take y’all back to the golden era of Disney on DVD and Blu-ray with this callback Blu-ray video footage that would play at the beginning of classic Disney films on DVD and Blu-ray.

oh boy where do I start…I love this film its a great sequel…I should warn u guys that this film has a few gross moments like one disturbing moment,  a few of the side villains look scary….a jumpscare and well a gross scene….so the plot of this film is that….the day of Elizabeth Swan and Will Turner wedding , its raining and pouring…and the new guy in charge comes with his men..they traveled the sea…this guys named Cutler Becket…and he has a right hand man named Mr Mercer… and they are there to arrest Elizabeth Swan and Will Turner and James Norrington for helping Jack Sparrow…but James Norrington has resigned his job a week ago so…yeah….anyways we cut to the our pirate friend’s on the black pearl and we see Mr Gibbs drinking rum, then the scene cuts to a prison and oh boy this scene is graphic..we see some prisoners trapped in hanging cages…and (fair warning if u want to turn away now u can) we see crows coming down and start pecking out the prisoners eyeballs….Jesus lord that’s a bit graphic for a Disney movie……but I think this set the ton for the rest of the movie…then we see men tossing coffins into the ocean…and well we see Jack Sparrow pop out of one of the coffins, once that coffin gets somewhat far away from that prison…so he makes it back to the black pearl (by using the coffin as a boat and skeletons foot thats in that coffin…to paddle his way to the ship)..lovely…so anyways that night Jack Sparrow sees Bootstrap Turner on his ship…and he looks haunting…the guy has pale skin and barnacles growing off the side of his face and outfit, and some seaweed…also a star fish on the side of his face…so he’s there to warn Jack that his deal he made with Davy Jones is up and he is gonna send the kraken to sink Jack and his ship down to the dark depths of the ocean…which now is frightening Jack….and before Bootstrap Turner leaves by going through a wall…he gives Jack the black mark on his hand…its the mark that tracks the kraken to him….so anyways also Jack Sparrow looses his hat…the monkey Jack tosses his hat into the ocean…so for the rest of the movie he doesn’t have his hat…so the next day will Turner is offered to help Becket to retrieve Jack Sparrow compass for him and if he does then he will let Elizabeth go free…and avoid being hanged by the noose….he agrees..so he goes and tries to find Jack Sparrow,  he asks around and that leads him to an island that has the black pearl on it…and guess what who inhabits the island?….if u guessed Cannibals, then u r correct…yes Cannibals in a Disney movie…

…I wish I was joking or was making half this stuff up, but I’m not…so anyways Will Turner gets captured and is brought to there leader who is Jack Sparrow….see these Cannibals belive Jack Sparrow is a god in human form, and will be doing the honors of roasting him and eating him…

…yeah because thats a great topic to be brought up in a Disney movie…cannibalism….so blah blah ….Will Turner and the rest of the crew escape from there hanging cages that are made our of wood and human skulls and bones…

… um hm…lovely….and Jack Sparrow escapes as well…while this happens…Pintel and Ragetti made it to the island and are trying to steel the ship….so yeah they make it back to the black pearl….then they want to wait for Jack, then they see him running towards them with a huge amount of Cannibals running after him…so his men start boarding the ship….and yes Pintel and Ragetti become apart of Jack Sparrow crew….although in the first movie they hated him but now follow him?…eh oh well…so now sense there back on open water…Jack Sparrow wants them to locate a gypsy named Tia Dalma…she is a sea God…in the form of a human…great so this movie series now has Cannibals and a God and a kraken oh and the legendary flying Dutchman….for those of u who don’t know what the Flying Dutchman is, the flying Dutchman is a well known folklore about if a person who’s sailing the seas ….sees a ghost ship called the flying Dutchman…they know they are they’re to well kill them and take the persons soul…basically its a sign of death…so anyways they get to her…she is living in a small hut in the swamps…and when they get to their…they bring her a piece offering…Jack the undead monkey…she let’s it free our of the cage…and well she tells the story of Davy Jones…how he use to be a human and that he fell in love with a woman…until one day he decided to rip his own heart out because he felt betrayed and didn’t want to feel the pain anymore…

and when I mean he ripped his heart out I don’t mean that as a metaphor…I seriously mean he ripped his heart out and out it in a chest and buried it on land….also we know that Davy Jones job is to ferry souls to the next world….. so anyways Davy Jones can’t step on land until once every decade….anyways Tia Dalma hands Jack and jar of dirt…..which somewhat becomes useful later….so she shows where the flying Dutchman will be at…..so that night in the ocean during a storm…which means pouring rain…they see a shipwreck….and they trick Will Turner into believing that’s the flying Dutchman…and he falls for it and goes onto the boat…see Jack Sparrow plan is to hope that Will Turner can settle Jack Sparrow debt for him…so he goes on board and well he sees nothing but a few freaked out crew members…and then a person falls off a poll and he goes and tends to the guy, but as soon as he flips the guy around…he sees the guys face or lack there of…the guys face has no mouth or nose and only one eye ball…ehhhh….that was the jumpscare…and then the flying Dutchman comes popping out of the ocean…and it looks eerie…with its seaweed looking sails and creepy design such as the front of the Dutchman looking like a giant alligator mouth, and instead of a mermaid statue at the front of the ship…its a skeleton instead…yeah thats the flying Dutchman…

then the flying Dutchman crew start appearing on the crashed ship…and the crew are creepy they look like mutated humanoid fish creatures…basically anyone who serves on the Dutchman and doesn’t do the job right…they and the captain become mutated fish-anoid creatures…heck Davy Jones right hand man has the head of a hammer head sharks with sharp teeth and spider legs in his back….yikes…another guys has a shell for a head…heck another one as a eel for a head…then there the rest who just have barnacles and seaweed growing ok there faces and body, oh and there is one that has 2 bodies fused together (I don’t even want know how that happend) ..basically let’s put it this way the crew members look grotesque and if u look up Pirates of the Caribbean flying Dutchman crew…u will see what I mean…so anyways Will Turner tries fighting a handful of the men and he cuts open one of them and well um actually guts made of fish and slime starts pouring out of the guys stomach…..ewwwww….then they knock out will and tie him up with the other men….

now we finally see Davy Jones….he has one peg leg…a crab claw for a hand and arm….a octopus head…his beard is well tentacles…on his other hand…his pointer finger is a octopus tentacle…and his captain hat and outfit has well barnacles and seaweed growing off of it…and he is played by Bill Nighy….and no I do not mean…Bill Nye the science guy….I’ve either heard people make that pun or joke way to many times or some have mistaken both as the same person….anyways….he offers the people a job on his ship…or if they want to die…one of them says he wants to die…so his men take a knife  and…CUTS HIM IN THE THROAT AND THROWS HIM OVERBOARD!…seriously Disney….I mean now these days they won’t let that be aloud in there movies and or shows….

so Davy Jones notices Jack Sparrow using a telescope to look in on them…and he Teleports to Jack Sparrow…and so does his crew….so now we find out that the reason Jack Sparrow was in charge of the black pearl was because of a deal Jack Sparrow and Davy Jones made…and now his time is up and he need to pay his debt…which means sending him down to the Davy Jones locker…and to kids who are reading this…no I’m not talking about the flying Dutchman ghost from SpongeBob nor am I talking about an actual locker…because in SpongeBob SquarePants there a joke where the flying Dutchman takes mr Krabs down to Davy Jones locker…which was a locker…

…anyways…Davy Jones says to Jack Sparrow ur soul is worth 100 souls and he has three days to give him souls….he hands over will…so now he has 99 more to go…lovely….so blah blah he goes to Tortuga to recruit souls …or people if u will…so during their recruitment…they bump into James Norrington…who is now all filthy and a drunk…of course Jack Sparrow hires him…well at first he refuses to accept and he tries to shoot Jack Sparrow…then a bar fight breaks out…and while Jack Sparrow and mr Gibbs try to escape the bar place…Elizabeth Swan comes in disguised as a man and starts helping out Norrington fight against a group of drunk pirates…so now we cut to the flying Dutchman and Will Turner sees his father…but at first he doesn’t recognize bis father….a bit of an accident happen involving them dropping a cannon that they were living with rope….take a guess what the punishment was….well ill tell u….Davy Jones forces Bootstrap Bill Turner to whip his son on the back as a punishment….yikes that is brutal…again this is a Disney movie…..so anyways Will Turner tells his father why he is there…that he’s there to find the key to the chest…..ok so now we cut back to the black pearl and James Norrington tags along with Elizabeth Swan and they both join the crew of the black pearl…and Jack Sparrow convinces Elizabeth Swan to use his compass to find the secret chest they are after…blah blah..anyways

So will challenges Davy Jones to a game of Liara dice…the crew is playing it, and anyone can be challenged….

Davy Jones starts walking down the stairs and says I accept….ohhh Will u have no idea what ur getting urself into

So they set up a table for them….Will wages that if he looses that Davy Jones can have him and his soul for eternity….and if will wins Davy has to hand him the key….so they play the game, wills dad joins in…will does loose the game unfortunately, also heres the clip and the soundtrack

Will Turner sneaks into Davy Jones piano room where Davy Jones is taking a bit of a nap..and he takes the keys thats hidden in Davy Jones tentacles….clever…and his dad helps Will escape……so the next day …Davy Jones notices his key been stolen and well he orders his men to summon the kraken and to sink the navy ship that will Turner found himself on…for those of u who don’t know what the kraken is…its an ancient sea creature thats a giant  Cephalopod (or a octopus, or is that a squid?…not sure) anyways in folklore many survivors told of a giant octopus sinking there ship into the depths of the ocean…anyways the kraken sinks the ship and Will Turner escapes and makes it to the island where Jack Sparrow is on….so while that’s happening Elizabeth Swan locates the chest and then Jack Sparrow has Norrington start digging….then well they take our the chest and put there ears near it to see if they can hear a heart beat…and guess what, they can…thats when Will Turner comes up to them and tell Elizabeth Swan that Jack Sparrow tricked Will Turner to go onto the flying Dutchman to become a slave of Davy Jones…understandably she gets a bit mad with him…..also a sword fight between Norrington and Will Turner and Jack Sparrow happens…because Jack Sparrow wants the key to trade the heart of Davy Jones to well Davy Jones to use as a bargaining chip to get our of his debt..Norrington wants the key and chest to bring back to Cutler Becket…so he can get his job back…Will Turner wants to open the chest so he can stab Davy Jones heart to release his father from his grasps….but here’s the thing the person who stabs the heart must take over his place because the Dutchman must always have a captain…so there that sticky situation…so a coll sword fight happens….while this is happening, Davy Jones sends in his men onto the island to retrieve the chest….also Pintel and Ragetti have grabbed the chest…and trying to run away with it…luckily the henchmen bump into them both and Elizabeth and of course Pintel and Ragetti hand her both there swords so she can fight the creepy fish people….because we’ll Pintel and Ragetti are wimps….so that fight starts happening….then well one of the henchmen steals the chest and Jack Sparrow notices..and takes the chest for himself…he opens it and takes the heart out and leaves the chest closed on the ground….so well he takes the heart to the boat and puts it into the jar of dirt…..oh and Norrington gets there and notices that he did put the heart in the jar…so he takes it out and takes the chest and pretends to run away with it to lure the fish men away while Jack and his crew escape…..so yep that happens…..Norrington gives the Fish men the chest….them thinking the heart is still on there…..so Jack Sparrow and Will and Elizabeth and Pintel and Ragetti make it back onto the black pearl and then the the flying Dutchman comes out of the water…and now everyone on the black pearl sees the Dutchman coming out of the water…and well they get a bit creeped out…..Jack tries to negotiate…he falls with the jar of dirt and it breaks open and Jack sees that the heart is no longer in there….anyways they start steering the ship away from the flying Dutchman….and the Dutchman starts following them and shooting at them…..then Davy Jones releases the kraken…..so now Jack Sparrow gets off the black pearl and escapes on a small boat…..while his crew fight against the kraken…. oh boy this was a great and tense scene….basically the kraken destroys alot of the ship, and Jack Sparrow makes it back and saves the day by well shooting at a net filled with exploding barrels…and the kraken gets injured…..now the crew abandons the ship and Elizabeth Swan handcuffs Jack Sparrow to the ship to leave him behind…and sad ending but Jack Sparrow gets eaten up along with the black pearl by the kraken…. so yeah it end on a cliff hanger…also Norrington makes it back to Becket and gives him the heart…..of Davy Jones……and our main group go to Tia Dalma….and well they have a drink to honor in Jack Sparrow…so then Tia Dalma asks them if they will do anything to bring Jack Sparrow back even if it means traveling to at world end…..so then they agree and she says u will need a captain….then a random person starts walking down the stairs and we only see his boots…we see our main characters facial reactions…they look a bit shock…and well then we see that its Barbossa who was waking down the stairs….thats right Tia Dalma revived Barbossa……and well he says so tell me whats become of my ship..then he takes a bite from a green apple and then he laughs…and thats how the film ends….

overall I really loved this film its a good example of a good sequel…also there an end credit scene that shows who the new leader on the Cannibal island…its the dog from the first movie that was holding the keys to Jack Sparrow cell….lovely…ok I give this film a solid 10/10…worth the watch also the runtime for this film is 2 hours and 32 min long….
