Ok so start off I’m gonna say this is my favorite Disney movie series….usually Disney movies are tame but this film series isn’t….these films can and are violent and have some blood in the film and well creepy moments that would scare a young kid….

Also, let’s take y’all back to the golden era of Disney on DVD and Blu-ray with this callback Blu-ray video footage that would play at the beginning of classic Disney films on DVD and Blu-ray.

so with that out of the way..the story is about a a woman named Elizabeth Swan (played by Keira Knightly) is soon to be married to James Norrington (who’s the leader of the royal navy), and her whole life is about to take a turn for the weirdness when a pirate named Jack Sparrow (played by Johnny Depp) comes to Port Royal and well saves Elizabeth from drowning (see she fell into the river because her corset was to tight and she couldn’t breath so she fainted and fell into the water) but of course since he’s a pirate …the royal navy (including James Norrington and Elizabeths father…Mr Swan…and these 2 guards named Murtogg and Mullroy)…(let’s just say those 2 characters are comic relief… and well in every scene there in they try to guard something but epically fail because they always argue about something to each other)… and well they try to arrest Jack Sparrow, but he escapes and tries to hide in a black smiths building….there he encounters a black smith named Will turner (played by Orlando Bloom), and of course a epic sword battle happens….Jack Sparrow gets knocked out and arrested….that night the legendary black pearl comes to Port Royal and attacks the town….then the pirate’s comes off the ship and board the city, 2 certain pirate’s that board the city are 2 pirates named Pintel and Ragetti…( they are also comic relief characters ..they do bicker at each other quite a bit…also for some reason  Ragetti’s fake eye keeps falling out of his head almost all the time…I say almost because its not like it falls out every min)….anyway they both kidnapp Elizabeth Swan and take her on board the black pearl…and they’re we meet the captain who’s named Hector Barbossa (played by Geoffrey Rush) and he’s interested in the necklace that Elizabeth Swan has….they cut a bargain for him to never attack her city again if she gives him the coin…he agrees and his pet monkey named Jack…irony, because he hates Jack Sparrow…so anyways he does keep her on board because she didn’t add to the bargain that they release her..anyways neck day Will Turner breaks Jack Sparrow from prison and they both steal a ship to go save Elizabeth Swan…but first they stop at a place named Tortuga (which is a place all pirates hang out at) and there they bump into a old friend of Jack Sparrow…named Joshamee Gibbs….and they find him sleeping on a pig in a pig hen….covered in mud..so they invite him and ask him for find Jack Sparrow a crew….he does…but before we get to that …we cut to night time and back at the black pearl  Barbossa has set out a meal for Elizabeth Swan…..and well we get some exposition….we find out that the coin around Elizabeth neck is Aztec gold and its cursed…anyone who touches it gets a curse that turn them into skeletons ( only during a full moon) and he tells her that him and his men found the coins and sold some off but then started to realize that food wouldn’t cure their hunger and that water wouldn’t clench there thirst….also that they can feel water on their skin…she of course doesn’t believe him…then he says there only one way to end our curse….its to bring the last medallion to the cave and use a ounce of blood from a Turner…( don’t know why) ( also Elizabeth Swan tricks these pirates by calling herself Elizabeth Turner) congrats she has tossed Will Turner last named under the bus in a way…anyways she now knows why she’s there prisoner…she tried to escape and she takes the table knife and….stabs Barbossa in the chest….and he doesn’t feel anything and just pulls it out of his chest while blood is covering the knife and dripping from the knife….oh yeah because blood is so family friendly….and she goes outside and sees the whole crew as skeletons and she turns around and sees Barbossa as a skeleton…nows she’s panicking…oh and Barbossa decides to pull out a bottle of red rum and starts drinking it and we see rum leaking out of his exposed rib cage…ok so now its day time and we get introduced to Jack Sparrow crew…the 2 main important ones are Mr Cotton ( he’s a mute because bis tongue gut cut out…yuck…so his pet parrot speaks for him) and then there Marty (who is a midget) ok now lets skip three middle of this film later on a ship battle between the black pearl and Jack Sparrow ship happens….after they save Elizabeth Swan from the cave because they take her to the cave…oh and they kidnapp Jack Sparrow….because Barbossa is surprised he escape the island he abandoned him on….see long while ago he use to be Jack Sparrow first mate and the black pearl was Jack’s ship and one day Barbossa and Jack’s crew including Bootstrap Turner ( Will Turner father) do a mutiny against and abandon Jack on a Island)….so yeah now they’re holding him captive…and well Jack Sparrow escapes during the pirate ship battle….Sadly the crew gets captured,  also Barbossa blows up Jack Sparrow ship thinking Will is on there so he could blow up with the ship to get back at Elizabeth for lying to them about her last name…

yes he survives, he comes on the ship and tells Barbossa his name…and they do a bargain where if he surrender himself….then Barbossa will have to release the crew….but of course Barbossa find the loop whole and does release Jack Sparrow and Elizabeth…he just pushes them off the plank….into the ocean…and now Jack Sparrow is back on the same God forsaken island he was sent to all those years ago during the mutiny…so yes the royal navy comes and rescue them…..and Elizabeth promises to marry James Norrington if he and bis men help Jack Sparrow go up against Barbossa and his undead skeleton crew…they get to the cave and Jack Sparrow has them stay outside of the cave and wait for further instructions….he goes inside and convinced Barbossa to send his men outside to attack Norrington…but of course they go attack the ship instead and if ur wondering how they got past Norrington….easy they walked underwater toward the ship….yeah they walked underwater….so a coll fight breaks out between Jack and Barbossa…..we find out that Jack Sparrow has the same curse as Barbossa…..so its an immortal fight now….until wait for it…..Barbossa aims his gun at Elizabeth…and we hear a gunshot and we believe Barbossa shoots Elizabeth…but instead Barbossa looks confused and looks at Jack and we see Jack with his gun aiming at Barbossa with smoke coming out of the barrel of the gun…

and Barbossa says ten years u carry that pistol now u waste ur shot….(yeah Jack Sparrow only had one bullet and he was Saving it to kill Hector), then Will says he didn’t waste it. ..Barbossa turns around and sees a knife in Wills hand and in the other hand a cut and also the last coin…and he drops the coin stained in his blood into the chest filled with the other Aztec gold…..next thing Barbossa looks back at Jack…then Barbossa drops his sword and gun and rips open his jacket and we see a gunshot wound in his chest, then blood starts oozing out of his wound…..yeah this is pg-13 so what u expect….and then he says….I feel……cold…then he falls over and dies….

so the day is saved…the rest of Hector’s men surrender because they’re now no longer immortal…oh and Jack is sentence to hang….and next day he is at the hanging and has a noose around his neck…Will Turner saves him and helps him escape….he falls off the wall into the ocean and he sees the black pearl come his way so he starts swimming to it….and well James Norrington allows Jack Sparrow a 2 day head start…he also allows Elizabeth and Will to date…because she loves him…….and now Jack Sparrow is captain of the black pearl….the end …overall this is a really good film….its one of mt favorite live action Disney movies…I give this film a solid 9.8/10…also the runtime for this film is 2 hours and 23 min long…just a heads up….oh and this film has a end credits scene, where it shows the monkey back in the cave and he grabs an Aztec coin and he becomes cursed again….
