James Bond No Time To Die

firstly I want to say Daniel Craig ur gonna be missed as James bond….he was my favorite James bond and this is his final film…..so im glad to say where finally reviewing this film……it was a really good film….role the trailer

So the plot of this film is, after James bond retires he’s called back in to help determine a new virus that’s being used to kill specific people…by a mad man named Safin…..so he hesitantly agrees to come back in….the film opens up with showing Safin played by Rammi Malek…walking though snowy forest, in a snow suit….wearing a porcelain doll mask for some reason…hood up….holding machine gun…also all we hear is his breathing and him walking slowly up to a house across the frozen river…ok this seriously opens up like a horror film …..I like it’s kinda creative and different…so we see this girl in the house with her mom who’s drunk and Falling asleep om the couch…..and as soon as she falls Asleep the little girl looks at the window and sees creepy man standing there with porcelain doll mask on…yeah this was a jump scare, a genuine good one as well…..anyways she starts running, he enters the house…asks the wife where her husband is….she says he’s long gone hasn’t been around for long while…so he shoots her dead….uhh yikes….anyways he sees thr girl…he starts walking to her, up to her bedroom….she hides under the bed but unfortunately he looks under the bed…but fortunately for her she knows how to fight…she Grabs a hand gun and shoots the guy where his heart is…he falls off the railing down to the first floor…..so he’s dead right? Right?….welll…she starts dragging his body outside ans he wakes up so she runs off….ok seriously how did he survive that? He got shot in the chest where his heart is…..just how do u survive that? Well I guess because the power of plot armor or something like that lolo……anyways she runs onto the ice…he shoots around her the Ice breaks she falls into the water….as soon as she’s about to drown…..he decides to save her instead….can we quickly point out a weird flaw….Safin in this back flash scene seems to be same age as he is later in this film yet this back flash takes place 20 yeara ago…..uhhhhhhhh….anyways, we cut to modern day and we see the little girl is Madeline Swann…the girl James bond fell in love with in the last film….anyways he and her are away dating…..all that…..until he decides to ask her to let him go visit the grave os his original girlfriend he lost back in casino royal…..he goes to the grave, there he gets attacked by mercenaries…..a uh 10 to 11 min fight and car chase/ running chase happens….yeah slightly tedious….so now he believes that Madeline set him up by sending him to that grave to his death….so he’s ready to get her out of his life…..after this 10 to 11 min fight and chase ends…he interrogates one of the men he tells him he works for Ernst Blofeld…..so now he really believe that Madeline set him up for some reason he believes she’s working with Blofeld….so he sends her away on a train…she says to him it wasn’t me I didn’t know they would be there….but he doesn’t believe her….on a side note let me get this out of the way she was telling the truth so he really did just push aside the only woman who trusts him at his current time……anyways cut years into thr future later…bonds retired and uhhh a random scientist gets kidnapped by some men who are hired by Blofeld…..anyways what is this scientist working on u may ask? Easy making a virus that is attached to nano bots that can and will attach on to specific people u want it to kill and will kill said person for u with said virus……which could cause a world wide outbreak….hmmm I’m no expert but isn’t it uh risky to release a movie about a virus spreading that can cause a world wide Pandemic during a time where we are in the middle of a Pandemic ourselves? Anyway so back to James uhhh he’s retired and I’m about to summarize up the next 45 min…what happens is….he encounters a woman at a bar…the woman follows him to his house and reveals shes the new 007…..uhh ohh…..and that shes not hesr to spy on him in fact it was newr coincidence she bumped into him……..this he helps a friend out with something and a friend of his….it is a job of sort where they will get payed…ans it evolves on a boat…I forget what the mission was lolo but still anyways he does the mission with his friend and the other guy but the other guy reveals he’s a traitor working for the bad guys…so he attacks them ans shoots James bond friend…also decides to sink the ship and leave….James bond tries to find a way out with his friend but his friend dies he bleed out and drowned…..uh oh…so once James bond exists the boat he goes back to the new 007 chick and tells her he’s ready to go back into work just this once…..so they head back to headquarters…..there James bond gets debriefed on what’s happening the whole releasing virus thing…..his boss agent M played by Ralph Fiennes….sends him to an event to Infiltrate it because it’s where the scientists dude is at…..so they can bring him back to headquarters for questioning…..so he goes there heads to the bar…of course because that’s a signature James bond thing to do..there he bumps into a woman named Paloma….all u need to know about her is this she helps him out here and that’s it because after this entire scene she’s never mentioned or seen again…….anyways they go to this event….get a drink chat little….then as the event start uhh Mr Blofeld voice starts playing over the monitors saying hello Mr Bond….I got u here Tonight to kill u…which then people surround him and this gas starts coming from the roof and he says no don’t worry its only harmless to him not u all…..but uh oh something is wrong because the people around James bond start dying horribly…we see blisters form on there faces….blood coming out from the blisters and there eyes and mouths….yikes…do everyone aeound James bond except himself didn’t die….ok that’s Strange…turns out the doctor dude changed the targets because he’s working for someone else secretly…he’s working for Safin…so he runs off….they try to chase him down but unfortunately he gets away…..so this is where bond and Paloma part ways….he heads back to headquarters….where he asks if he can interrogate Blofeld…..they give him permission…BTW while this is happening we go back to uh his ex wife Madeline….she’s a psychiatrist now…and she enters her office…there is sitting a a man with a face full of burnt scares…she has no idea who he is….he starts monologing telling her his plan…saying he’s planning to infect everyone around the world with this virus…..also he Says u still don’t recognize me? He then hands her a box he says this might help ur memories come back…she opens it up and it is the same partially cracked porcelain doll mask that he wore……….yeah he the same guy who killed her mother all those years ago….shivers yikes…so nows she’s in shivers and frightened……BTW I want to list my slight issue here….so in that back flash Madeline was a small kid….yet somehow from that to present day…Safin doesn’t look like he’s aged at all…..how?….my guess is because well uh script…..just because script says so…anyways so he tells her she’s gonna help him….she asks how …he gives her Nono bot perfume? Huhhh?….yeah sure whatever…..he tells her to spray herself  next before she goes into Blofeld  cell and gets near Blofeld….touch him so he will die…so anyways back to bond as soon as he’s walking to the cell Blofeld is in…of course with the new 007….they bump into Madeline…..he freezes up then says hi…then decides to pull her aside into the cell room…asks her what’s going on why she even here….asks her what she knows of thr virus?…she says u don’t know nothing yet?..and he well uh Does touch her which not good because now the virus is transferred to him now…..anyways as there talking and Blofeld cage is being dragged out towards them….Madeline gets cold feet and says I can’t do this ans she leaves…..James bond says no wait come back where u going?…but then Blofeld cell is now behind him…he says something amongst lines of hi James…I lured u to that place to kill u…BTW Madeline was telling u the truth she had nothing to do with the ambush on u at ur ex girlfriends grave…she was as surprised as u where….I was the one who was spying on u from the very start…I used knowing u would blame her…to my advantage…..then James bond grabs Blofeld and says to him die Blofeld die!……sighhhh die Blofeld die?….god i just cringed at that…..writers, just for future reference….just because something on paper sounds cool, doesn’t mean once the actor speaks the words ot will sound cool…anyways then he stips checking him then turns around and as he does that he hears a thump…turns around and sees Blofeld hunched over and dead…he is now finally dead and here in my opinion is where this film starts because in my opinion the first half really felt like spectre 2.0……because the first half spent revolving around Blofeld…again, instead of the new baddie…glad now we can focus on him…anyways so he gets examined by Q…he tells him theres nano bots on him that are carrying a disease…its impressive…he says is there a cure…which Q says no there isn’t….also they determine that the scientists dude is working for a guy named Safin…..so he decides then to go pay Madeline a visit….he goes and finds her living away in the woods with her daughter…..he asks her to tell her little of what exactly happened, and who’s Safin…she tells him that when she was a kid, Safin came to her house to look for her father to kill him because her father killed his family…..BTW her father is Mr White, just little context…..Mr White first appeared in James bond Casino royal, yeah the Daniel Craig Era of bond is all connected….. Le Chiffre, Raoul Silva, Dominic Greene then Mr White are all apart of a team called Spectre…which is lead by Blofeld…..are u guys now starting to get the full picture here…..so if ur wondering how Safin connects to all this well, Mr White killed his family so he wants revenge….but after finding out he no longer lives with his wife he decides to take his wife’s life instead then try to kill Madeline…..oh then now he wants revenge on Blofeld…if ur wondering why? Well for u see Safin family worked as chemists who worked in spectre, and under Blofeld order he tells Mr White to kill both them with there own chemical toxin they created…..yeah I can see why he wants revenge, he first decides to target Mr White…then go after Blofeld and kill him….plus he wants to destroy the Spectre team….which makes sense….BTW since idk if ill ever write reviews on all the Daniel Craig bond films since i don’t remember 2 out of thr last 4 of them….so ilk give a run down of what each villian did so yall see how bad they where….

Mr white: he was a hired Assassin basically to kill people that Mr Blofeld told him to kill…heck he killed James bond ex lover he fell in love with in casino royal, yeah yikes…..he does reappear I’m spectre, but in that film he is dying due to radiation poison….because of his moral point of view…for u see Spectre was using there power to exploit woman and children….and he was against that, so they poisoned him……anyways so James bond visits him in a cabin he’s hiding out in…..he tells bond to protect his daughter for him, also Mr Bond gives Mr White his gun so he can shoot himself with….which he does….and that there is the end of Mr White….

Le Chiffre: down in debt he must try to win a poker game to get money to pay the people back…but bond intervenes and plays the poker game against Le Chiffre….BTW he does posion Mr Bond in that film because he wanted to get rid of bond so he can win the game instead of Mr Bond….and when Mr Bond won he captures bond and ties him up tortures him horribly and when I mean horribly I mean uh he tortures him….but Mr White comes in saves the day by killing Le Chiffre because he’s so far down in his debts

Raoul Silva: I honestly forgot about this villian hea just forgetful rich person…to be fair I can’t blame the script writer because around this time almost all script writers went on a strike so it was left to Daniel Craig and the director to write the script….and there no script writers, which becomes abundantly clear because this films plot stinks…ita forgettable 

Raoul Silva: let’s see where do I begin….he’s an ex double O agent, who joins Spectre….he succeeded in uh let’s see blowing up MI6, almost causing the agency to shut down…almost but he doesn’t succeed at that……he burns down Skyfall, which is a house that James bond grew up in…oh then he kills the original M…..so yeah he caused the most damage…..if ur wondering why he wanted M dead? Well for u see he feels like she abandoned him…on the technicality of her abandoning him letting him rot in whatever prison he was captured in by some enemies….so he tried killing himself with cyanide, but he didnt die….no instead it casued a deformation so now he wears fake teeth….to hide his deformation…..anyways at the end of the film bond kills him off by throwing a knife into his back….ouch, and he turns aeound screaming and tries walking towards bond….then he just falls over and dies….BTW here’s a piece of the soundtrack from skyfall that I replay Over and over again

BTW what’s with all these villians having facial damage to them? Think of it….Le Chiffre had a scar across his eye, Blofeld had a scar across his eye, Silva has lower facial inside jaw deformation, and now Safin….he has like burn like scars all over his face….does somewhere in the James bond villian contract say that the villians have to be deformed?….anyways still that’s not a nitpick….thats just an observation 

Last but not least Blofeld: he is the leader behind all these villains…he calls thr group spectre, both James and Q find out these past villains work under him…when James bond pays Mr White a visit…he hands over his ring to James, which has the spectre logo on it…its of a octopus…..oh and Mr White kills himself because he’s very sick and ill oh and old….he tells James bond to plz protect his daughter, to never tell her how her father died….which is by taking his own life….but anyways on that ring is several finger prints…they put it through the computer and it corks up with match to those previous baddies…yeah there all working together…they have been I meant…..oh and final thing about Blofeld……Ernst Stavro Blofeld was James Bond’s adoptive brother, who was originally known as Franz Oberhauser….this has got to be the biggest retcon to the entire James bond mythos…because way way way early in the days we did have a Blofeld who in my opinion was done way better then here….back then he was just a villian to James bond….he wasn’t related to James at all…oh and he looked Mr menacing, he had a scar across the side of his left eye ans he carried a cat around….in Spectre he does get a scare across his right eye for some reason instead of left eye….but he also gets it across his eye not on the side of it..so it’s different

There so now u have a run-down of each previous Daniel Craig villains…and yeah after seeing the damage they’ve done I can say yeah maybe it was a good thing that Safin try to kill them….to bad they died way before he got his chance to kill them…but that doesn’t make Safin any better because he now wants to use the virus he created to cause a world wide Pandemic…..and kill off everyone…and here is where I have problems with this film…how did he go from I want revenge on Spectre for killing my family…to ok well now since that’s done I now want to kill everyone…because I guess I’m just evil, sighh its kinda dumb….but anyway so now bond realizing how big the stakes are….oh and Madeline shows James her daughter…he asks if this is his kid? She doesn’t answer him…which we all know what that means…he tells them there not safe here that we should pack up and leave…which he isn’t wrong because as there packing up…uh Safins men come in helicopters and cars start trying to shoot them….they run out of the house into James car…ride away with the baddies chasing them….and shooting at them….anyways so case ends with Madeline and her kid get captured by Safin…..when her and her daughter go hide in a cabin…..yeah Safin was tracking them on foot…..so now James bond has to go save them but he doesn’t know where they are…so he goes back to HQ, they give him some new tech, they tell him the location…plus they they go onto a cargo plane where Q gives him a jet that turns into a submarine….ok thats cool….also the new 007 aks if james bond can be given back the 007 title because she thinks hes worthy of having that back….aw how thoughtful……..oh and something important Q tells bond….there’s no cure to this virus if someone gets it….so uh this is definitely oh so not gonna be important later, anyways so back to Madeline…..Safin tells her the plan. He wants to start a world wide virus to wipe out most of humanity…..just because ….yeah just because……also is anyone else thinking right now this is hitting to close to home for yall? Think of it a world wide virus to wipe out humanity and there no cure for it….what does this sound like to yall? Also I quickly wanna mention this is where I kinda just stopped caring slightly….at first his motives made sense…he wanted revenge on Spectre for killing his family…but now his new motives are I wanna kill everyone with a world wide Pandemic….yeah ok whatever u say…u just lost me, so then he takes Madeline daughter away from her….ohh the tension builds up because we don’t know if he will kill her or not…will he kill a kid or not?….just wait a see…so then James bond comes in…killing guards……he makes his way to Safin…where he’s sitting at a table with the kid….he tells James bond to put the gun down or he shoots the kid…so James listens…tosses the gun then he sits down…Safin tells him his plan to cause extinction….blah blah blah….he then goes on to compare himself to James bond…..in his own words

James bond, history of violence, license to kill…vendetta with Ernst Blofeld, in love with Madeline Swan….I could be speaking to my own reflection 

Uh huh….except that uhh Safin, u just kinda somewhat threatened to kill her own daughter plus ur motives are Slightly different to bond…..for instance James doesn’t want to release a world wide plague onto humanity to kill everyone….also Safin u don’t have a license to kill….u just kill anyways…but sure you both are so identical I couldn’t begin to tell yall apart lolo….also ur in love with her? Get the f**k out of here…nothing in this film would convince me that…Safin, let’s see u uh killed her mom when she was a kid…u did save her instead of killing her so there’s that, then u ghosted her for 20 or so years….only then to come back into her life when it benefits u because u have the tool and opportunity to use her to kill Blofeld for u…then u kidnapped her and her daughter, then put a gun to her daughter head and threaten to kill her if james bond doesn’t comply….oh yes I can just feel the love….its just so obvious 

Anyways….James says man kind doesn’t treat people well who play God….then James bond decided to take out his hand gun shoot safins men…Safin and the girl go down threw a trap hole…..so now James bond has to go after him….anyways down where Safin is with the girl…him and henchmen start walking to his emergency vehicle…the girl drops her stuffed bear…then bites Safins hand so she can go grab the bear and Safin puts her down and says ok u can run off if u want….and she does and he juat walka away…..uhhh I’m sorry what? What was huh? He just let’s the girl go…ur telling me this entire time she was free to go…even through  he was making a big deal earliwr that he wanted to keep her and Madeline  forever…..and he would be like yeah ok sure u can go….dumbest villian ever…..oh and Safins motivations werent already confusing wellll…..he briefly mentions that the dirst sellers hes selling the virus so are on there way…..wait so is he doing all this for money? Or because he has a god complex and want to destroy humanity? Or is he just 2 screw loose away from mentally insane?…..make up ur mind movie!!…so anyways James catches up to him and Safin shoots bond…uh oh…but what’s this James bond fights back…..he knocks Safin to the ground then he shoots Safin in the head…but not before Safin grabbing bonds hand and saying ur now infected with the virus…there’s no cure…u can never be able to touch her or her kid ever again unless u want them to die….ohhh no…then James bond shoots Safin in the head…good riddance….anyways he catches up with Madeline and her kid…she tells them to get into the submarine…get to land he will meet her there….ehhh no he wont…anyways she listens…takes off…oh if ur wondering where the other agent lady is well she just made good work with the scientist dude and killed him bye knocking him into a pool of liquid version of the virus…which instantly kills him….jeez….oh btw the base is collapsing because Safin ordered a misile to hit his base and blow them up…..anyways James bond is running up some stairs, bumps into the henchmen…which I forgot there was a henchmen….so this henchmen has a robotic eye…James bond well fights him…struggles a bit until he gets the guy into a chock hold and he turns his watch on that Q gave him…and it causes the guys eye in his head to explode…..oh christ….then Q contacts bond and says are u ok u sound winded…and bond …hehehe…..he responds by saying…yeah I’m ok…I just showed a guy ur watch contraction, it really blew there mind…….hahahahah …..anyways so he makes it into the control room….gets a realization that he will never get to hug or kiss Madeline again or hold his kid….so he decides to stay behind and die….yeah James bond dies, this part may break or make the film for yall…..so he walks up onto the top of the base…he calls up Madeline tells her he won’t be catching up that he’s staying behind to die…..Madeline of course Is upset…she does tell James bond that the kid is his kid…..aww that’s sweet….then the misile comes down and blows bond and the island up……..the end…….for bond I mean…the film ends with Madeline and her kid driving off in the sunset….now it’s the end…..honestly overall I liked this film…not loved but liked it….it was kinda to long ot clocks into 2 hours and 54 min…..im gonna give this film a solid 9/10

Honestly if I had to give my run down of the entire Daniel Craig Era here’s be my rating for them

Casino royal: 10/10

Quintom of solace: 0/10 (it’s forgettable)

Skyfall: 10/10

Spectre: 4/10 (I don’t care really for this film…..it has questionable decisions such as making Blofeld and James bond uh brothers…yeah that I still can’t accept, also they don’t really make him all intimidating but hey still I guess this film still has it’s fan base somehow)

No Time To Die: 9/10 (flawed but I really enjoyed it, especially over Spectre)
