Scary Stories to tell in the dark movie: to start off, here are a few trailers:

This movie is based on the first book….(but I highly doubt it because  this book has monster’s from the third film)…so this movie is a good PG-13 horror movie, the stories this movie brings to life is the big toe…and Harold and the red spot and the dream…also the director made his own original monster that’s called the jangly man….he is based off 2 stories….Mi Tie Doughty Walker, and what do u come for….so that story is about a woman is all alone in her kitchen and then out of nowhere a arm falls out of her chimney and then another leg and both arms and a torso and head fell out of the chimney…..and the body attached each limbs together….yep that’s was a off story….so the story of this film is 4 or 5 teenagers i believe who live in a small city in 1968, and some of these teenagers get taunted by the towns bullies who are jocks….and these teenagers one night on Halloween enter a haunted house and find a book that’s called scary stories to tell in the dark and well due to one of the teenagers named Stella…opens the book 

she has not realized this yet but she’s unleashed evil…I can safely say the monsters in this movie don’t act the same as their book counter parts…Harold in this movie is different the farmers are now a husband and wife and there sun, who has a son who is the town bully jock…and well when Stella opened the book…that night the scarecrow comes to life and takes a pitchfork and stabs the jock in the stomachache and then the jock turns into a scarecrow…in a creepy kinda grotesque way (no blood bur still)…then the pale lady from the dream is different….a teenage boy gets a dream to not go into a red room…and well later on they go to a hospital and well the alarm gets set off and the hospital starts blinking red lights….and then well the pale lady shows up and every corner and hall he ran down …she is at every hallway…and then well she catches up to the boy and hugs him and then well absorbed the boy into her stomachache….u can see what I mean by there different….and well the whole plot of this film is our main characters and a guy that Stella helped out…(this certain guy is different color…and he is on the run from cops)…and well there trying to solve what happened to the book author of the scary stories book….turns out that the book author had some form of pale skin i think so her family made fun of her and beat her up….and well she found out her families work industry is  Polluting the water by dumping chemicals into it…so she tried to people…but her family found out and put her in a mental asylum where her own brother tortured her …to death….oh before her death her family locked her up in the cellar and down there she wrote her book….so yeah…so it turns out the guy Stella is helping was accepted in the  Vietnam War and he ran away because he didn’t want to go because his brother went into that battle and died….so the movie ends with well basically all of her friends dead from each monster and her friends sister has a scar on her face from a spider bite….no need to describe what happened there its a similar story to the book…and Stella new guy friend gets drafted into the war….so overall I give this movie a 3/10….its not good AND but not anywhere close to being accurate to the books…it should have been a miniseries on Netflix….
