Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince: so im gonna start off with a warning…this film is when things do officially get dark…and I don’t mean like dark in tone…I also mean the visuals as well…throughout this while film the sky is filled with grey clouds….basically indicates that this film is dreary…heck in a way the color pallet in this film is less and more grey….heck basically none of the hogwarts students are wearing vibrant clothing…there all wearing black robes….granted they have in the past but still…even at hogwarts which usually is a safe haven…no longer feels like that in this film…hard to put it but u as an audience will probably feel something off about feelings u get when the movie is in hogwarts..also this film has a depressing death if u ask me….also although this film doesn’t have voldemort in it….his presence still feel around……so with that out of the way…on to the review…so in the beginning of the film we see death eaters flying in the sky through London..yes the muggles see them…and we see them flying towards diagon alley…which in this film look dreary looking…and the death eaters fly into olivandors wand shop and kidnapp olivandor…wow ok this is hoe the films starting…and we see that one of the death eaters is Fenir Greyback…and then the death eaters fly away and destroy a bridge that has people on it…lovely….so anyways Dumbledore finds Harry at a dinner under a subway….also when we see Dumbledore he now has a blackened hand…we find out in deathly Hallows, that he put on Tom Riddles ring…which is a Holcrux…and it cursed Dumbledore hand and it aventually spread to the rest of his body and kill him..but I’m getting ahead of myself..and he takes Harry to a friend of his named Professor Horace Slughorn…and he’s hiding in a muggle family house….because he doesn’t want the death eaters to recruit him…they have tried but still…so Dumbledore wants Slughorn to return to hogwarts to teach….but secretly he wants him back to require a memory of his past….which I’ll get into later….so anyways Dumbledore Teleports Harry to Ron’s house….with all of Harry’s stuff…Ron and Hermione tell Harry that there families almost convinced them not to go to hogwarts this year because they know something is gonna go down…mainly because he who must not be named has returned…u want to know how bad the situation is….Hermione families are muggles…which mean their not wizards or witches…but they even know that voldemort is back and how serious this situation is…so next day they go to hogwarts…also disclaimer…im sorry for not mentioning this in my review of the fifth film, but in that film we finally find out why Snape hates Harry’s father…James Potter…its because when they were kids…James Potter and Serious Black and Lupin and Wormtail…aka Peter Pettigrew….teased Snape and in a way bullied him…heck he even stole the love of Snape life….Lilly Potter….also he doesn’t like Harry because he reminds him to much of James Potter…..so its understandable why he hates James Potter…so anyways…when they get to hogwarts…Dumbledore tells the students something…and its bizarre…he tells the kids that there was once a student in hogwarts who was named Tom Riddle and now he’s known by the world by another name…and that voldemort men are every second trying to  Penetrate the protective shield thats surrounding hogwarts…then he tells the students to go to bed…wow…so cleaver Dumbledore….he basically just said…hey the infamous cult leader use to be a student here, and now he’s back and his followers are trying to get into hogwarts ground…now good night have pleasant dreams…..…Dumbledore is one bizarre man…next day Ron and Harry go take position class and Slughorn is teaching it instead of Snape….long story short…Harry finds a position book that has the words half blood prince..on it….and he passes his class session by making the spell that Slughorn told them to make…correctly…and the gift Slughorn gives Harry is a small bottle of liquid luck…basically…actually why am I explaining what it does…its in the name of the spell…liquid…LUCK…so anyways…in this film Draco Malfoy is hired by voldemort to sneak some death eaters…which includes Bellatrix Lestrange and Fenir Greyback…into hogwarts…by entering a Teleporation cabinet…..there 2 of them…one Draco brings to hogwarts and puts in the room of requirements room and the other one stays behind in diagon alley…for the death eaters to enter through… but first Draco has to test it to see if its safe, also Draco mother and her sister Bellatrix Lestrange …thats right Bellatrix Lestrange is related to Draco mother…anyway they go visit Snape…and they do an unbreakable vow…she has him swear to protect Draco at all times and watch an eye on him…and if the vow gets broken..well it equals death…also did I forget to mention that Fred and George have opened their own candy shop in diagon alley?…no?…well it ain’t important…this only shows up in one scene and thats it…although that scene does have my favorite scene

Fred and George: 10 gallons Hehheh…..ok im sorry for not mentioning this earlier…but still…anyways…back to where I was…where was i?…oh right Harry and Ron are training new comers for quiddich….heck even the quiddich field looks dreary….during this quiddich game in this film the house banners aren’t up…so again no vibrant colors in this film…so anyways some random guy starts hitting on Hermione and wants Ron to introduce him to her…also a random girl falls in love with Ron…oh joy…thats right folks its one of those scenario where Ron and Hermione are in love but can’t spill there hearts our to one another, but of course a random jerk dude tries getting in the way…and a random girl gets in the way as well..its a love mess….so anyways…..later on they win the quiddich cup and …sigh Ron gets kissed by the girl…right infront of Hermione..which understandably makes her upset…so Harry comforts her…aww how sweet…seriously why didn’t these 2 become a couple…instead of Ron and Hermione?…so anyways….Slughorn invites Harry and Hermione to his party…of course Hermione was planning on bringing Ron…but u know….so she decides to bring snobby man who’s in love with her….also Harry Potter goes and hangs out with Ron and his family at there home long story short…Bellatrix and Fenir Greyback and death eaters pop on in and they blow up rons home…….ok enough of that let’s get to something interesting..Dumbledore shows Harry a memory of Slughorn…but its a memory that’s been tampered with by Slughorn….also I forget 6o mentioned that Dumbledore shows Harry a memory of his…it shows of Dumbledore visiting young Tom Riddle at an orphanage…thats right in this film we find out that voldemort or Tom Riddle use to be an orphan….and oh and we also find out something dark about him…during his studies at hogwarts…actually I won’t spoil it yet…so Harry tries to get the memory from Slughorn…but of course he refuses…..so one night Harry decides to bring Ron down to Slughorn office because his obsessed new girlfriend inchanted him with a love potion…so Slughorn makes a potion for him to well take the love potion out of him…so of course Slughorn decides to take a bottle of wine out and all three do a toast…but Ron drinks from it and falls on the floor and starts having a seizure…..Jesus lord…don’t worry Harry saves him…well of course he ends up in the hospital….Dumbledore and Snape and McGonagall show up including Hermione and Ron’s new obsessed girlfriend ….and of course Dumbledore decides to sniff the wine bottle and he could tell its been poisoned…he asks Slughorn who the wine was attended for…and he said u Albus  Dumbledore……ok so if ur confused….see Draco Malfoy is trying to kill Dumbledore because voldemort tells him to…so throughout this film he tries to kill him 3 times…all 3 times fail….he tries killing Dumbledore by anonymously sending him a cursed necklace and then try sending him a bottle with poison in it…so let’s skip the rest of this scene and continue….Harry decides to drink liquid luck and he locates Slughorn while on his way to Hagrid….we see Hagrid mourning the loss of his dead spider friend….remember him from the chamber of secrets film…so anyways Hagrid and Harry and Slughorn go to Hagrids hut…and both them drink…when Hagrid falls asleep…Harry convinces Slughorn to give him his memory…and guess what he does….see the reason he was resisting was because he was ashamed of what he told Tom Riddle….so we see the memory…it was of teenager Tom Riddle asking Slughorn what a Horcrux is…he said he read about it in the restricted section…..he tells him a Holcrux is of an object or so where a person splits there soul into an object…and the way to do that is by murdering people….of course Tom Riddle says what if I were to kill 7 people….of course that starts getting Slughorn worried….ok so now on to the juicy information….so if ur guys and ladies wondering what the Horcrux are…well…ill name them all minus the 7th one….Tom Riddles diary, Tom Riddles ring,  Ravenclaw diadem, Nagini, a goblet, a locket…and the 7th one…well can’t give that one away yet…luckily 2 out of the 7 are destroyed….Tom Riddles diary got destroyed in chamber of secrets…and well Dumbledore destroyed Tom Riddles ring…so anyways Dumbledore and Harry Teleports to a cave because Dumbledore asks Harry to accompany him to this cave to locate the locket…..so they get there and well oh boy this scene is dark…so the locket is located at the bottom of a small bowl thats filled with a liquid spell if drunk will cause pain …mental and physical pain…how lovely…so Dumbledore forces Harry to force the liquid down his throat….warning this scenes dark…so look away if u have to….so when Harry starts giving Dumbledore the liquid to drink….Dumbledore falls onto the floor after drinking one cup full…and he starts feeling pain…mentally and physically…..each drink he took…well made him in more pain and he was starting to cry a bit and begging Harry to not let him drink it…heck he even yelled out KILL ME!…my God this scene was hard to watch, we were watching a great man like Dumbledore well being in agonizing pain to the point where he begs for death…so then Harry grabs the locket…and Dumbledore asked for water…as soon as Harry tries to fill the cup up from the lake around them…these  hundred of zombie looking Gollum creatures come out of the water and pulls Harry into the water and starts drowning him…as soon as that happens a fire ball comes shooting in the water and knocks the zombie off of Harry….then Harry swims back up and sees Dumbledore standing on the rock with his wand out and spawning fire around the whole cave…to well scare away those zombie creatures…wow Dumbledore is an amazing wizard…even when in pain he is able to do a deadly spell like that…so anyways they Teleport back to hogwarts and its grey looking in the sky and its night time…and McGonagall sees the dark mark in the sky…so she is sending the kids to there rooms…and as that happens we see Snape looking out the windows….ok fair warning a very sad moment is coming up….and we cut to the Teleporation cabinet and we see Bellatrix Lestrange and Fenir Greyback and 2 other death eaters come out of it and into hogwarts….Harry and Dumbledore spawn back into hogwarts…in the astronomy tower…he sends Harry to fetch for Snape….and as that happens they hear footsteps coming up…so he sends Harry potter to hide beneath under them….Draco comes up and disarms Dumbledore….he tries killing Dumbledore but he cant….then the death eaters come in and try convincing him to kill Dumbledore…but then Snape comes in and Dumbledore says plz to Snape…then sigh…Snape takes his wand out and kills Dumbledore……..so yeah now Dumbledore is dead and he falls out the window and onto the floor…also the death eaters leave through the Great hall but first Bellatrix destroys some silver wear and glass cups….so Harry chases them outside near Hagrids hut and Bellatrix blows up Hagrids hut…don’t worry Hagrid wasn’t inside….so anyways Harry tries fighting against Snape and trying to use the spells he read in the half blood prince book…so then we find out that Snape is the half blood prince….what a twist…I guess…..then Harry returns to where Dumbledore body is laying on the outside..and everyone including students and teachers are standing around his body and are well crying….of course Harry Potter gets near Dumbledore body and he breaks into crying so Ginny comes over and comforts Harry…my God is this scene just depressing……im not crying…ur crying ….so anyways all thr students and teachers raise their wands in the air, and well use there spells to destroy the dark mark thats in the sky still…and well the film ends with Harry saying to his friends he won’t be returning to hogwarts that Dumbledore sent him on a mission to hunt down Horcrux….and he says to Hermione that the locket is a fake….so it turns out that a guy named RB…..stole the real locket…we find out in deathly Hallows part 1….that the name is  Regulus Black…..Serious Black brother…I believe….so that’s how the film ends…my God this film is a spectacular film but also a dark and depressing film in my opinion…I’m gonna give this film a solid 9.9/10
