Terrifier 2

Warning 
 if u found the first film review to be a bit to much then u Prob don’t wanna stick around because this film triples down on its gore and kills since this film has a bit of a higher budget and longer screen time…..once again this ain’t for the faint of hearts…heck there’s reports of people who where vomiting during this film and some people left the theater because film to gross…so plz keep all that in mind….anyways here’s the trailer….I cannot wait to dissect this film (pun unintended)

I want to start off by giving some facts about this film, so remember how I said the first terrifier film was only 35k dollars to make well this film has a budget of 250k because the fans helped fund this film….heck the runtime is longer…..the first film is 1 hour ans 47 min…this one is 2 hours and 28 min long….yeah yikes, even after I saw the film I’m still wondering why did it need to be 2 hours and 28 min…but ill get into that in a bit….

So the plot of this film is (and yes this film actually has a plot thank the lord), couple years after the slaughtering of those teens that night on Halloween…the killer art the Clowns body hasn’t been found so people still think he’s still alive…some thinks he is dead…..and just to get this out of the way yes he’s still alive…the film opens up where the ending of thr first film ends with him waking up in the morgue…..straight away we get into a gory kill, once again if u guys wanna hop off now because u don’t like over top gore trust me I understand u can leave…this is why I’m just double checking….we’re good?..ok let’s continue, so he is walking behind a doctor dude who’s crawling slowly to a phone reason slowly because he’s bleeding out…he calls 911, but they can’t hear him because he’s just making gurgling noises….art the Clown proceeds to take the phone away then cut his head open exposing the brain….stabbing him through one eye…then take the other eye ball out of him, then proceeds to put in his own socket…then in a dark comedic way looks at the audience and smiles at them as if he’s saying do I look good?…..just for him to toss the eye ball onto the floor…so really that was just overkill….then art the Clown walks away from the morgue out into the dark of night, then he goes to a laundromat to clean his cloths he gets butt naked sits down and rwd a newspaper…yeah this scene is weird, then he sees a little girl dressed up as him and she starts playing patty cake with him and plz keep what I’m about to say in mind…. a gyy wakes up there and sees art the Clown doinf patty cake with ingisible air so this sets up he can only see her…plz keep this in mind for later…then he leaves after cloths done washing oh and he killed the one person there by shoving a hook rack into his mouth…..now uhh I’ll be fair I won’t mention every gory scene in this film I’ll skip on 2 or 3 kills he does I mean I’ll mention them but I won’t get into details….so then we cut to our main new characters a teenage girl named Sienna and her brother Jonathan…..there being raised by there mother and if ur wondering where the father is well he’s dead and don’t worry this film does remind u multiple times that he’s dead so at least the film ain’t being vague about where he is….so we see Sienna making her Halloween costume which is of a angel warrior…oh and we get to see she has a real steel sword on her desk, keep that in mind that’s important for later….anyways Jonathan wasn’t to dress up as art the Clown but his mother says no because that be like if u dressed up as Ted Bundy…..BTW Jonathan has an obsession with murderers for some reason…..hey at least these characters have characteristics to them unlike the previous 2 woman from the first film….anyways so that night she falls Asleep to watching a kids channel of someone singing and using a banjo……and she has a dream of that show she was watching and in this dream she’s in it…..oh don’t worry this dream becomes weirder……there’s a random boy in the background at a table doing a TV ad for a box of cereal that has art the Clown on it and the cereal is made of razors and bugs…um yuck…..then art the Clown shows up coming out of a food truck to entertain the kids…BTW the kids there are grown a$$ teens wearing toddler clothing…that made me laugh…because I said this is absurd….then art the Clown pulls candy out of his trash bag gives one candy to each kid but gives a box to Sienna, she opens it up and it contains a human heart with blood but that blood starts turning into black gue for some reason…..ew….then art the Clown pulls out a Tommy gun and shoots the kids and adults….then proceeds to set the singer on fire with a flame can of sorts…..yikes….the dream ends with Sienna pulling her sword out of the box of cereal…..and stabbing him oh and she wakes up to a candle of hers that wasn’t even lit… ignited aggressively and setting her wings on fire…almost setting the room on fire….yikes….anyways next day at school she gets panic attack when hearing from her friends about that survivor from the first movie deforming the hosts face….oh and also her brother Jonathan gets expelled from school because they found a dead animal in the school and saw him run away from it and blood on his hands but what happened was he saw art the Clown and a little girl dressed up as art the Clown sitting on thr ground playing with the dead possums innards….remember how I said rmemeber what I said for later yeah well I’m confused now this film set up earlier only art the Clown can see this girl but now someone else can see her to?…ok movie plz make ur mind up….anyways so he gets kicked out of school and his mom thinks he did that so now she thinks he’s messed up, and doesn’t allow him to do his Halloween plans….oh well…..oh while this is happening Sienna goes to a Halloween store to get new pair of wings and there she bumps into art the Clown…uh oh and this is my favorite moment because it was funny……while she’s rushing to get some cash from out of her bag to pay for hee wings ..art the Clown is standing in the corner trying on goofy glasses which one of them was one of those spring glasses and he just standing behind her nodding his head up and down and left and right like he’s saying yes ur doing great or no ur not…  lololo the entire theater broke out into laugher….so did i…anyways after this he murders the clerk dude very brutally he stabs the guys eye out with a broken bottle then proceeds to cut his head off…then we get a scene where a mother and kid pass by the stor and notice art the Clown but they think he’s a prop because he standing in the display window holding the severed head and as soon as they leave he tosses the head away with a look of relief as if he was thinking thanks God they left… once again lolo……now let’s skip a bit now it’s Halloween night and Sienna dresses up in her skimpy outfit goes to a party with her drunk friend…have fun…while get this the mother and Jonathan get into an argument…he runs out of the house and she for some reason goes to the garage to her car ans finds that her car has been covered in toilet paper, shaving cream and pumpkin…and she thinks Jonathan did this….yeah see this is where I said ok im done ur to stupid…yeah she started getting on my nerves she thinks her son who just ran out of house just came back to vandalize her car…uh huh…but guess what art the Clown is sitting in the car and as soon as she wipes away the window he just sitting there and he pulls a shotgun and shoots her head off…..this is the most tame death in this film…..ohhh ok dang I’m sorry guys I’m gonna have to take back a few steps I forgot to mention a previous death scene before this one so warning this previous death scene is graphic as shite…so before this happens…he breaks onto Siennas friends house and proceeds to stab her eye out, slice her back open, cut her top of head odd revealing brain, then proceeds to snap her arm back and cut off the other arm….this scene was so graphic guys alot of people screamed so did I…I think I screamed like a girl unfortunately at least had no friends around to witness that …that be embarrassing…..anyways I’ll pretend I didn’t say that and lose any dignity lolo…then this is where it’s cartoony…she somehow still alive and tries crawling to her phone, I said out loud ok seriously this is absurd u should be dead ur bleeding out…then as we think it’s all done art the Clown returns with salt and vinegar and pores vinegar onto her then proceeds to pore salt over her wounds.. huh.. thats definitely taking the word pouring salt over the wound to a new meaning that’s for sure lolo…..anyways back to the mtoehrs death, so Jonathan returns to see his mother dead and propped up at the dinner table and art the Clown brings out mash potatoes and steak and some wine….while wearing an apron…so let me get this straight …..art the Clown murders this woman then decides to stay behind and cook dinner just to taunt her son in case he returns? Lolo….thats dumb and funny…then proceeds to stuff mashed potatoes into where the mouth was on the mothers face…ok that’s much….anyways so Jonathan calls up Sienna but it isnt Jonathan it’s the little girl mimicking his voice while art the Clown driving to an abandoned carnival with Jonathan knocked out body to lore Sienna to them….ok woah woah hold the phones (pun not intended btw), now this ghost girl can interact with real world objects?..huh?…movie make ur mind up…anyways Sienna friend and her new boyfriend drive her to the carnival, and I’ll get into this little more during negatives but this part becomes an issue, for the next 15 min we get back and forth focusing on Sienna searching around the abandoned fun house for her brother then back to her friend talking to her new boyfriend then having aex together…yeah sorry that didn’t need to be 15 min long….anyways luckily art the Clown shows up and kills the boyfriend first while he’s taking a piss …and for the the sanity of my viewers I won’t describe this death scene but ill say this uhhh he is now a dead eunuch …thats all I’ll say about this and move on…..tbis part made me feel uncomfortable so…..skipping and moving on….so then the friend runs out of the car into the fun house into a restroom there she gets cornered by art the Clown..he tosses acid into her face then proceeds to use a weapon of his to smash her chest open then rip the heart out ans eat the heart ……well ew and secondly not gonna lie this unfortunately reminds me of that one scene in that Johnny Depp film the lone ranger……if u know what im talking about then awesome…..anyways Sienna finds her way to her dead friend…breaks into tears then sees art the Clown and she runs away and for the next 30ish min we just get her looking for brother, then she finds her brother they both run…..we get a false death scene for each the 2 characters 2wice which starting getting tiring …oh and the ending to me got very biblical…the final fight takes place in a church where the windows have devil designs on it oh and the walls having upside down crosses….subtlety? Whats that?….anyways art the Clown shows up and a fight happens …the fight ends with Sienna being tossed down into a red pit which being a metaphor for hell…wow subtlety what’s thats?…anyways she wakes up in a water tank somehow and drowns, and dies while the ghost kids from the dream are laughing at her…….and this is where the film stops making sense….her sword starts glowing then the wound on her chest starts glowing and she wakes up crawls out of the tank and climbs out of the pit…huh?….then stabs art the Clown multiple times and stops art the Clown from eating Jonathan Because he’s just biting down at Jonathan’s leg…yikes….then as if art the Clown is thinking he has some respect for her because that’s what it seems like …she cuts his throat and stabs him and he just sits there with look like he’s thinking respect…then he does one more smile and bends his neck sideways and allows her to behead him…the end happy ending but then the little girl shows up and takes arts head away because I guess why not? Plus again no consistency….the end…oh wait there’s an end credits scene ans oh dear lord guys this scene goes on for 4 min long it’s to long and secondly this scene left me in shock….it was gross…to put it bluntly, the scene shows the previous survivor in a mental hospital room while 2 doctors are talkng to each other at the desk…then the woman in the cell starts uhh tearing her innards out of her…uhhhhh…skip….then she gives birth to art the Clown head…..and the scene ends with thr nurse entering the room and screaming in panic seeing this woman gave birth to a Clown head and oh yeah coddling it……uhhhhhhhy uhhhh…yeah thats my reaction just uhhhh….anyways onto pros and cons

Positives:

Overall this film is a major improvement over the first film, it finally gives us a final character to follow behind and root for. The film has a plot, granted it ain’t a great plot but it’s a plot nonetheless….also visually this film looks lot better maybe gas to do with the fact he had budget of 250k this time around…now onto negatives

Negatives:

For future films this guy needs to hire an editor because there’s 2 to 3 scenes that needed cutting down on specifically that first 15 min out of the last 40 min of the film, that wasn’t necessary to focus on her screaming out Jonathan name and searching for him and her friend and boyfriend having sex ….all for total of 15 min before art shoes up….furthermore that end credits scene needed cutting down on…..it didn’t need to be 4 min….

ALSO on a side note I have a theory to propose to y’all….then place this

So really by the end of this u will be left off confused u will be left off with like 100 different unquestioned answers…..such as

1. Is art the Clown supernatural or not? I ask because the film has him able to regenerate his eye and survive being shot in head from last film……yet the description of this film says after being resurrected by a sinister being, Art the Clown returns to Miles County where he begins to target a teenage girl and her younger brother on Halloween…..yeah this leaves me more confused because the end credits scene has a woman giving birth to his head….so uhhhh idk u guys try coming up with ur own conclusion…..because I thought originally that Art the Clown was supernatural but I guess not…..but the end credits scene just throws me off for a loop

2. How come our main characters sword healed her? How does that work? Why Is it even a thing? Is that sword magic? Was her dad magic? Or was he just loony?….who knows ans maybe we won’t fully know….but I hope some gets answered in third film

There are some theories going around and the one that makes the most sense to me that I’ll be sticking to because it sounds legit…..the theory is that Art the Clown was some circus Clown who worked at the circus but one day some tragic event happened to him that made him snap, turn evel and go on a murdering spree…..also the theory says that the little girl he sees in this film might be his dead daughter or sister, because there was a image of her on a newspaper in the film and a line on a paragraph says she was apart of a mime family….so he may have lost her…then turned evil…..maybe Satan made a deal with him that in return would Bring his dead sister or daughter whoever the girl is…back to him….which would explain how he was resurrected…plus the words in the description “sinister entity” might be alluding to Satan….so to summarize up the theory he and his sister maybe daughter where apart of the cirus….then something tragic happened to her which made him go evil…Satan made a deal with Art the Clown in return to bring that girl back in some form…..so yeah I’m sticking to that theory it makes sense…..especially makes sense on how he got revived 2wice…..someone giving birth to a head would have to be caused by some entity of sorts….

Speaking of, the director has said he’s considering making Terrifier 3 into a 2 parter….yeah idk how I feel about this idk if I’m for it or against it……Its hard, on one hand I’d like more Terrifier but on the other…what slasher film ever needs to be a 2 parter? Keep 2 parters for Harry Potter, hunger games, avengers…..but a slasher film? Nahhhh…

Overall I enjoyed this film great movie theater experience it was packed and I am glad this film is doing great….so far this film has made about 1 million dollars…..yep he’s definitely made a bank fot his buck of sorts……meaning he will get to make the third film with a higher budget….my rating for the film is uh 8.9/10 ..highly recommend it to anyone who likes slasher gory films
