Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7: Let’s start by showing y’all the trailers shall we?
Yeah probably gonna get some flag for continuing to review The Wizarding World Franchise, but also I bet I’m gonna get tons of Lego game fans here as well.
Here’s the main menu for this game,
So what’s the plot rundown y’all are wondering? Join The Wizarding World, and be immersed. Join Harry Potter and play as him, while u get to experience the last 3 films in Lego format.
4 chapters, 6 levels each. Yeah, that’s a lot, also yeah technically 8 films but there are only 7 books but the final book is split into 2 parts.
But that’s not all. There’s the open world where u get to explore Hogwarts (both inside and outside). This time expanded to the point u can explore a bit of London outside of the bar Harry and Hagrid went to in the first film.
Can explore and visit the woods where the gang went in The Deathly Hallows Part 1, u can also explore the front outside of Hogwarts and also go explore Hogsmeade.
This game came out in the era of Lego games not having dialog btw, yeah I miss those Lego games can we go back to those?
Also in this game, it feels like the gameplay involves puzzles, which actually fits this franchise.
U will be using spells, and put together tunnels to spawn a rat or cat to crawl through. Also through this game, u will be unlocking spell by spell in a specific order.
I actually like that, I like the game doesn’t give u all abilities at first.
So now it’s time to discuss a few things. Mainly how difficult it is to unlock Lord Voldemort in both these games.
Well, I have some good news to tell y’all, getting Voldemort this time isn’t nearly as hard as it was to get him in Years 1-4, but this time it ain’t any less hard than last time either.
This time u have to get to the final mission in the story where u fight Voldemort, off to the side there’s a path that’s blocked with metal blocks, u have to destroy them and walk in that hallway and there’s the character token for Voldemort.
Ok cool, that seems easy right? Yes I wish because even though u just unlocked his character token, u now have to get 2 million studs to unlock him. 2 million studs, yeah the grinding is strong with this one.
Side note remember those bonus levels where u go to the bank in Diagon Ally, and do those custom maps to get gold bricks? They come back for this game.
Side note in the free roams after u beat the story and just explore. The entire map of Hogwarts is in ruin, there are rubles everywhere, to match the Deathly Hallows.
Now let’s get the rating out of the way, overall I did like this game but not nearly as much as I did Years 1-4, idk there’s just something off about this game.
Maybe it’s the tone? Idk, but one thing I know for sure, I’ll be giving Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7 a solid 9/10.
Here are all the cutscenes of the game,
Till next time, I got loads of reviews coming soon.
